BECKHOFF TwinCAT 3 How to solve 'VT_x extension not enabled in bios' Error

The above error prevents you from going online on Twincat. It is a result of using shared cores in the processor. The solution we are going to see is isolating twincat to its own core instead of sharing with windows.
In the solutions explorer on twincat under Systems, double click on realtime to access the processor core window.
Click on set target and reduce the number of cores by 1. In our case from 4 cores to 3 cores. 1 core will be isolated. We shall dedicate this core to twincat.
Reboot windows and try to go online again.
