Um, anyway.
Zerjox announced all the way back in August 2020 that chapter 2 was cancelled, and that chapter 1 (which has been finished and released for around 1 or 2 months at the time iirc) now made up the whole game. (Therefore, it was finished.) Then around the start of summer this year he announced that Chapter 2 was now happening again and that Chapter 1 would also be remade (Also removing phase 2 of the sans fight because it didn't make much sense, so what is known now as phase 3 will become phase 2.)

Kinda sad though. Sans put in actual effort and even resorted to letting himself get possessed by Gaster, only to die again. He tried so hard but ended up failing. Also why did Asgore just one-shot this kid with his riptide trident like it was nothing?!

counterpoint: do you seriously think that sans is stronger than the king, a boss monster? he was always holding back, and in the normal genocide route, he simply wasn't prepared for you- here, you're restrained by flowey and he KNOWS that he has to kill you. and while the gaster shenanigans were pretty exceptional, the main thing was him making it one giant turn- the attacks themselves weren't really anything THAT high above sans's normal attack power.

Sans' appearance in Phase 3 is honestly horrifying. It's like we're watching him turn into a Gaster Follower as you fight him, and he's expending all of his life, his power, his narrative relevance in a massive burst... and it shows. By now, Sans, the character, doesn't exist. You killed him already. But Sans, the force, is pushing back with all its power.
...It wouldn't surprise me if that was an attempt to destroy the player's DETERMINATION- not just metaphorically, but literally rid Frisk of the in-game power of DETERMINATION and prevent them from reloading their save. Otherwise, getting killed by Asgore afterwards would mean nothing, wouldn't it?

So what I get from this is, once Phase 3 hits, Gaster basically supercharges Sans and focuses him entirely on attacks like he's shut off his brain. But by doing so, Gaster overclocks Sans so badly, he essentially burns him out and kills him with that overcharge.

Making the 3rd phase all Sans/Gaster with no turns for the player was genius. The way the action syncs with the music is AMAZING. Whoever made this did damn good work.
I also love the touch at the end. Sans doesn't even flinch the second time you hit him. Honestly, he's probably already dead. Yet he stays standing for a few extra seconds, just to make you wonder if the fight is over.
If they fixed up the grammar a little bit, this'd be one of the best fangames out there

"You have played with much then you ever think" the wrong "then" was used and "you ever think" isnt correct here. It should be "You have played with much more than you'd ever thought". Which is still an awkward sentence, but easier to understand.

I like how in the second phase, Sans realizes there is no way to save you. He stops trying to reach out to you and ridicules you for being a psychopath, even calling you a freak. It really captures how sick of you Sans is by now.

He was faking it. In the real game, sans would have still killed you when you spared. He wants you to rage quit and start a pacifist run.

I love this games treats Gaster so differently
In this game he’s an entity that appears only to the truly broken
and, when they become desperate enough, they hand over their soul to Gaster, and Gaster takes full control of them. They become an empty shell, devoid of emotion or reason. Gaster exists as a powerful force that promises power to those who has hit rock bottom.
We see here, that Sans seems to be a puppet in phase 3, that he’s no longer in control
And Gaster raises San’s power to to astronomical levels, yet it still wasn’t enough
Its prob just to remove the frisk/chara's Determination that's why when Sans was just waiting for you kill him he just stood there cuz he knew IVE FUCKING BLOODY DONE IT

in hindsight, the only thing holding back the difficulty on this fight is how generous the KR is. normally, just a slight hit from a bone and it would begin withering your health down a fourth of the max health. but im extremely impressed how they were able to make the fight difficult, even with the setback of the KR. amazing and unique attacks, really.
