Joe I have watched hundreds of fishing videos and your the first youtuber that I have ever heard talk about the "Thermal Clime". Now you stated that below 15ft of water in the lake where you were there was no oxygen in that lake. Is that a combination between the water temperature and the plants in the water that deplete the oxygen below that level? Im trying to understand how in some videos people fish down to 70ft for big cats but where you are you don't want to below 15ft. If you could talk about this sometime I would appreciate it cause I want to understand it better. Thanks Brother for all the great videos. I always learn from your videos. God Bless.
I dont wanna step on Joes toes but I dont think he will mind. The "Thermocline" sets in in the warmer months in water bodies with little to no current. The bottom layer of water is cooler and lacks dissolved oxygen. River systems that have good current flow dont develop thermoclines and it will also disappear in the colder months of the year as the surface temp cools. Thats when and where you are seeing people fishing deep. Some folks call that the "turnover"
Finally, after a year and a half I finally have my boat finished,the wife fished her first tournament on the 4th of this month, she ended up finishing 2nd,it was a ladies only tournament.. Am glad to see you back out on the water..
I miss doing that daddy and I use to put out Lamb lines I moved out west and I hate it I think it's bout for me to come home thank you putting out these videos bring back a lot of memories

I personally don't know what causes the thermocline. It is usually only found in bodies of water with no current I do believe.
