I never really understand why people think it's stupid that Tai ends up becoming a diplomat. It's not even like he based his entire life off a singular adventure that happened when he was a kid. With the events of the prequel movie, Adventure, 02, Our War Games, Revenge of Diaboromon, and now Adventure Tri, Tai's literally been dealing with Digimon his entire life, so it only makes sense that he finds some sort of occupation having to do with them. Add on top of that the leadership skills he's acquired by leading the DigiDestined through all those adventures and an aversion to violences from all the death, albeit of Digimon, and destruction he's seen, which we're beginning to see in Tri, the path Tai took is a very logical one. At least it makes much more sense than Matt, who became an astronaut for... reasons.
+Stefan Buruschkin People can chuckle, but it makes sense. Tai's world became tied up with Digimon and so he tried to choose a path that would let him continue walking ahead with Agumon. Not to mention he cares quite a bit about the digital world. Being a diplomat would allow him to allow the human face interacting with the digital world be one that understands that world.
+Stefan Buruschkin well he was really into soccer and really good at it so i guess we assumed that would be tais job...soras came out of nowhere fashion designer for the most tomboyish girl?...she was into tennis or maybe open up a daycare for kids or something where she could be motherly...as we see she was prone to act defensive and over protective like her own mother...mimi should be the fashion desginer lol..tk as a writer?...makes sense
One of my favourite things to hear is "Pokemon would have won if they used their legendaries!" Oh, so, shall we pull in the Devas? The Royal Knights? The Heavenly Trio? The Demon Lords? The FOUR GODS OF THE WORLD? One of the most insane Digimon is Examon, one of the Royal Knights. He has never been seen, but is technically omnipresent, due to the fact that he is an Exabyte large, and at the time, the Digital World couldn't render him due to his massive size.
+SyxxPunk Yeah I love both franchise but in terms of power/fire power Digimon is way superior. The strongest Pokemon is Arceus who is the god of Pokemon, but he himself got beaten by a single meteor.... Ultimate Level Digimon was able to destroy a similar thing in the anime... So let's not even get to the discussion with Mega Digimon lol.
+John Richards plus digimon has stuff like Shakamon, who is based on Chakravartin, the bestower of Chakra and the one who sits upon the throne of the universe. . Digimon characters, lorewise, are born from internet sites of such things as religious texts, ancient myths, and fables.
SyxxPunk yeah, but the digimon literally are born from human legends, and all the powers that come with it and more, since human's absurd imagination only allows them to grow even stronger. More often than not, the pokemon are either based on much weaker legends and gods, from myths that tended to depict the gods as actually being beatable by humans, or they'd be very loosely based on them and do their own thing, or they'd just outright admit the pokemon data entry is blown out of proportion. Pokemon tend to not be nearly as powerful as their descriptions say they are, and it's intentional. . Back on digimon though. As an example, Lucimon was born from a christian bible website (a lot of his biographies outright state this) which caused him to integrate the mentality, past, powers, and hatred of lucifer/satan. taking in the negative thoughts shown on the internet only made him stronger since being born from said religious site.
I actually really like her breakdown of the brutal killing and why it worked. It does show the very clear difference between the series. The digimon series were always more about these fights to the death, life or death battles. It wasn't a competition where you just fought until the other side couldn't keep going. The brutality of that difference would come to play in this situation. Tai isn't playing games. He'll take the fight to the other person because he can leave the fight in the sky to Wargreymon. Red despite this being a death battle doesn't have that experience. He could be brought to fight to the death, but...he wouldn't think to attack the trainer himself. That's just outside his experience.
Honestly some digimon games are preety fun, far more than people give them credit for. I think I still enjoy Pokemon more but Digimon is preety close. Plus they actually shake things up instead of letting it stagnate
What makes Pokemon more well known and liked than Digimon is the games. The Pokemon games is what drives the series. The show is fun, sure, but in terms of actual show quality, that's where Digimon shines. Digimon has a much more in depth story and isn't afraid to dive into more mature and deep content. Digimon season 3, Digimon Tamers, for example has a darker theme and tone; as well as touching upon various subjects that Pokemon hasn't really covered (or hasn't really pulled off that well).
Same here. Especially since they chose one of the most OP Digimon to face a somewhat similar Pokémon that’s basically the Pokémon poster boy, albeit infinitely weaker than its Digimon counterpart.
Well on one hand you have a dragon that can melt boulders, and in the other hand you got a dragon that can Spirit bomb... I think you know which would win
LanaDelBae actually metal greymon still has the disadvantage of being too big of a target while charizard is still smaller and can still dance around metal greymon however with wargreymon all of charizards means of winning gets thrown out the window
TheAbsol while it is said to have a power of a warhead it jack shit not gonna do anything except maybe kill Red and Tai but not charizard who can fly away but if charizard choose to save red its possible he can get caught or barely get caught but tai will get caught in it so being wargreymon is the best option as you have the dragon killer and avoid killing your partner in the process
ahwoofe have you seen where they are standing? Plus pretty sure anytime wargreymon or Metal greymon do thier thing the kids are out of the way unlike in DB.... And remember Wargreymon gave tai a heads up before tossing charizard on his way and spirit bombing him when tai is outside of the harm area plus going thru wargreymon and skipping metal greymon is overkill yes butt why would they have to show metal greymon when they want to end it faster with wargreymon
Pokemon can't even compare to digimon. Only reason even Greymon lost was because they wanted to make the fight entertaining. mega char never stood a chance.
I dunno his size kinda a big drawback same with metal greymon unless greymon or metal greymon would tear apart the area just to land a hit on charizard x they can't win but while overkill wargreymon removes all that gap in being slow and large enough to do an aerial battle with charizard
@@scarletrose8766 They can't win maybe due to not being able to hit it without killing Tai too. But Charizard can't win either. Greymons actual size is 3 times the size they showed. 6 times bigger than Charizard. Charizard would exaust it self before it did any real damage. Just like lions don't try hunting elephants. No point in fighting something so big it could crush you like a ant and so tanky your attacks barely sting it
Of course Pokemon is still going on, they have the same set up, storyline, and main character every season. Plus, everyone likes the games, the games are what makes the show. As for Digimon, it was always superior to me. Better storyline, characters, and just overall a lot more entertaining. The first four seasons were great, season 3 and 4 being two personal favs of mine, while the first 2 are not far behind.
+PropfetMisfit09 digimon is still going too. new season/movies to continue Tai's story, and their newest game might actually come to the states. First time since early ps3 we got a game.
Nakumare I'm aware that Digimon is still going on. However, not a fan of Data Squad or the one with Shoutmon. I am still on episode two of Digimon Tri. Will get around to it sooner or later. If the game gets good ratings, I will give it a buy.
PropfetMisfit09 i didnt care for data squad either, and i utterly hated the one with shoutmon, it just started out ridiculous imo. . Liked the movie made around the same time as Digimon World 4 though, even if the game was meh and basically just to advertise the movie. . But yeah, the game is a spiritual successor to 3, and i loved that one. Tri is a pretty good continuation imo so far.
Nakumare Tri is alright, just not the same. Not a big fan of the way the characters look. A lot of them lost the uniqueness they had in the original. Hell, I didn't even know who in the hell was Joe when he was first shown. Wish they didn't change it so much, but it happens. Also miss the theme that came with digivolving in the original, but seeing as that was a dub thing, I knew ahead of times that wasn't happening. I will probably get back to it sooner or later.
PropfetMisfit09 i'm kinda a mixed bag with the design changes. In many ways yeah, i like the artstyle they went for in these new ones, but in other ways some of it also bugs me, and there are parts i wish were less altered or kept the same. . This is probably mostly because while i did and still do really like the digimon art-style, there were still a couple design choices that did kinda bug me that the design change adjusts a bit. That being said, like you said, some of the design changes make it hard to tell who is meant to be who, since they're so changed, but it's not always that way. There are other portions that bug me and others i like, but like i said it's kinda hit and miss to me from a design standpoint.
+jeff blacklight Pokémon (and humans) do die in the games, just because you don't see it doesn't mean it doesn't happen, heck it's also referenced in many a Pokedex entry, might I remind you about Team Rocket beating a Marowak to death in Lavander Town? or Alders starter having died? or Lookers Croagunk dying in a mission? or the three legendary beast of Jotho being the reincarnation of three Pokémon that died in fire? among many other fucked up things people seem to overlook about Pokémon regarding death.
Actually, Shin Megami Tensei came before Pokemon and Digimon. The idea of talking to and making monsters your allies to fight other monsters. Not saying Pokemon and Digimon ripped it off, just saying Pokemon didn't invent that idea.
+ailehunter Pretty much, the first Digimon was a Tamogachi like device where you raised a monster and you could connect two different ones and they would battle. The whole idea for Pokemon came from the creator catching bugs as a child.
+ShinKyuubi what about SMT? Nowadays SMT and Digimon are mixing universes lol. Mostly because both series features demons and digi-mons. Fusions. Resetting to level 1. and now the frontier games for Digimon has SMT artists (Cybersleuth, Next Order AND Re Digitize)
Analyzing the points made by Screwattack. 1. The friendships between the mons and humans. On the Pokemon side, Pokemon and trainer do share an incredibly strong bond. But, if you dug a little deeper, you get the impression the Pokemon are in fact being used as slaves. People capture them against their will, they're forced to fight other Pokemon for fun, and are allowed to be critically injured in battle. Hell, trained Pokemon are considered defective should they express total independence. On Digimon side, however, Tamers don't force their monsters to do whatever they want. They treat each other the same as how they want to be treated. Whereas Trainers are restraint from ever getting directly involved in battle, Tamers are willing to get their hands dirty, even against foes they cannot possibly beat. If Digimon express the same obedience as Pokemon do, it's usually meant to show how they are enslaved or show how unhealthy their relationship is. Should a human blindly follow orders from their masters, their ability to self-identify is severed. Even in real life, slavery can create tight bonds, even though it's not healthy. 2. Evolution. Statistic wise, Pokemon aren't all that much different from their previous forms. While they do gain a boost in stats, it's still possible to beat them with a much weaker Pokemon, ei. Charizard can beat Blastoise in a one-on-one fight. Digimon, however, get so powerful their previous forms are completely overshadowed, and even groups of lower Level Digimon are helpless before the higher levels. For example, Machinedramon beat 7 Ultimate levels in one attack. Pokemon evolution is more like aging, Digimon Evolution is more mutating/transforming.
Didn't know Pokemon was like that, it sounds kinda creepy if you think that it's meant for kids. I only watched Tamers where the digimons even had their own personalities, and their relationships with their human partners was always the best part of the show for me
I really liked how Gen 5 kind of pointed that out, and I really wish games after that explored the human and Pokemon relationship more, rather than just slapping evolution and power moves on it.
1. Yeah Pokemon capturing system is kind of like beating and then capturing slaves... 2. They're actually are some lower ranked Digimon that can take on higher ranked ones
That's a warped way of looking at pokemon the are not forced to fight and many fight in the wild more so many pokemon team up with trainers to become stronger and because most are not smart enough to beat some one their at a disadvantage against and it depends on which pokemon evolution your talking about some like metagross line are fusions instead of aging.
@@DigitalAlexN Lucemon for example fighting the Original 10 Legendary Warriors and Killing all but AncientGreymon and AncienGarurumon before he was sealed away, IN ONLY HIS WEAKEST FORM (Which is considered a Rookie level)!!!
Pokemon is a game series first, and a popular one too. I don't think the Pokemon anime lasting as long as it has, has to do with the anime's story telling. The anime feeds off the game's success and vice versa. Unfortunately Digimon doesn't have that back and forth.
+leaderwithoutaplan Sadly all/most digimon games were, let`s be nice and say, bad. If they had the same success as pokemon did, the landscape in this regard might look totally different. sadly the second season of digimon wasn`t all that great (even though season 3 tamers was awesome) and after frontier it kinda took a dumpster dive with the fifth season. Haven`t seen the first Digimon Tri yet so i hope they go back to season1/3 style. And btw totally agree with what you said
+DarkSun123456789 Really? I mean, I found that all Pokemon games were exactly the same, simplistic and got boring very quickly. I preferred games like Digimon world. The stories, Easter-eggs, puzzles, etc. was all great and it was a genuine challenge to upgrade and evolve your Digimon, and more fun too.
+DarkSun123456789 Honestly, having played a couple digimon games, I do not think that the issue is that they are bad. The issue is that a lot of people have always viewed digimon as a rip off series, therefore removing a lot of potential customers from the equation. If digimon had hit the US first, I have a feeling that pokemon would be the less popular one
nicholaswmitchell Fair enough, i only played 1 or 2 digimon games myself and they were not good, can`t remember which ones though, else i can agree to that. Storywise digimon was always better though, anime or game.
WTF are you talking about? LOL/ Pokemon was the one that kept rebooting their story with added little new things. Their format was suitbale for kids. And for simplistic minded-people, and casual anime watchers. Whilst in Digimon. Every season has different new characters. It has a better constructed story that CONCLUDES. Season 1 and 2 are continuation of each other. The movie was prequel and sequel. And Digimon Tri is the Sequel of the movie.
+Trinityk7s ikr? Everytime I watch pokemon I feel Im just watching the first season every season with better animation. lol And plus with digimon; they always introduce a different concept like card power ups in season 3 plus digi spirits and even cross digivolution in the newer seasons. While pokemon it's always just new faces, newer looking pokemon and another criminal organization.
ScarletLunacy_Trinityk7s not to mention season 3, Digimon Tamers, is kinda a continuation as well, with the previous 2 seasons being a TV show within Tamers' universe.
@@autumbreeze1129 No, Digimon Adventure is not a TV show in the Tamers universe. In fact, in Digimon Adventure 02 appears Ryo Akiyama, a character who later appeared also in Tamers because he was taken to that universe by ZeedMilleniumon. This was confirmed by the creators. Adventure and Tamers are connected, but it is not a continuation.
@@uriarte77 um... yes, it is. When Rika is introduced passing some boys they say she's like a fusion Kari and Yolie. Not to mention the trailer has Henry say and I quote "I used to watch the TV show". The previous 2 seasons are a fictional story within the Tamers Universe.
I don't know why people are getting mad over this fight, it didn't took me a second to know who gonna win as soon as they confirm they will use Digi-evolutions. And i am more familiar with Pokemon than Digimon.
I feel as though Pokemon should've stopped airing a LOOONG time ago. The "plot" of EVERY SINGLE SEASON, not counting orange island or battle frontier, was "collect 8 gym badges and participate in the league that Ash never beats". I feel like the digimon seasons had much better stories.
They give Charizard everything they could in order to make it a fair fight. Greymon is 40 ft while in the death battle he is about 12 ft.. twice bigger than charizard.. same goes to Wargreymon which is the same size with Charizard.. They also didn't give metalgreymon to fight since it will end the battle right away.. That chrome digizoid is the strongest metal in Digital World..
Yeah Charizard can melt boulders, but probably have a hard time with something stronger than tungsten and titanium and platinum, and whatever the frick else you can think of
The reason Pokemon is still going and digimon makes new shows instead is because each Digimon show stops when the creators are done with their story. Pokemon just says 'fuck it' and keeps going and doing the same thing, no matter how boring and repetetive it's getting.
Rubin Sapphiere I stopped watching sun and moon cause dammit ash you only aged like 1 year and you've already traveled how many continents before you turned 11...... That and XY and Z Ash is probably the Ash we wanted to win a league at least once

Comments for the reaction video... Ultra? Its Ultimate... but eh Ultra works... (JP is pretty much Baby -> Child -> Adult -> Perfect -> Ultimate -> Super Ultimate) In digimon... death for a digimon can mean 1 of few things. 1) Actual Death No more popping out from the ground. 2) Data is absorbed and assimilated by the opponent digimon to itself. 3) Death X Evolution - Basically where they reconstitute their own data to digivolve further the evolution line. 4) They return to Digitamas with or without their data (attacks, experiences, personality, abilities and whatnot.) (or basically a DigiEgg waiting to be hatched) 5) Time Travel + Waiting in the space between worlds... Did i just list all 6 seasons of digimon and manga... yeah i probably did. xD I happily suggest that you guys watch Digimon Tamers (season 3), Digimon Savers/Data Squad (Season 5) and Digimon xros wars (Season . The HD Version remake of Digimon Adventure is not a remake, its an extension of the first's story into highschool.
I'm glad you mentioned the crests, but you got it backwards. Each digidestined had their crest that was representative of their STRONGEST trait, Tai was Courage because well, he was bold and headstrong, Joe's was Responsibility because he was the most level-headed, careful, etc. and so on for all the rest of them.
+EpicNightShades While i agree on the gengar part, even though he could use psychic attacks, they were still weak against ghost/psychic attacks in the first generation so yeah great burn there dude -.-
EpicNightShades i haven`t either, for even longer, since i can`t find them anywhere :D But then again i`m a games/anime/manga nerd so this useless information stays in my brain for far longer than it is needed.
+DarkSun123456789 It's not that ghost was weak to ghost, the gengar line was all part poison type so that they would have a weakness. The poison type is the part that makes him weak to psychic. If in the first generation ghost was weak to psychic, gengar would have been 4x weak to psychic
Its amazing ppl wanted charizard y. Despite not realising wargrey can also become victorygrey which is similar. Or fuse to make omegamon or go ever further to omegamon x or zwart. Sadly digimon has kept evolving to this day. Pokemon only recently got megas. Edit: and now giant forms that digimon always had.
Psycho Doodle Now there are Z-Moves. As well as pokemon fusing with one another and forms, in addition to using the discarded shell of your dead bug that can steal people's souls.
AstralBronyCorp Maybe they might finally one day beat omegamon; the fusion of two megas :D But in all seriousness they should of chosen Porygon vs a digimon, they're both digital monsters; would of been a fair fight ^^
@@WakoDoodle I know this is a bit late but let's be honest here; Pokemon will never be as strong as Digimon. I'm not even that big of a Digimon fan myself but I played one game; Next Order where the final boss was Omegamon Alter B which could destroy both the physical and digital world either through one attack or just because of its very existence (I forget which it is but neither would surprise me considering the power-scaling in that series). Some Pokemon fans would say that Arceus could probably do it but Arceus has managed to be defeated by Pokemon that some Ultimate level Digimon would beat in one hit so I doubt even Arceus could do much against any Mega level Digimon.
@@lukasruston8618Omegamon Alter B with the BH Program made all Digimon in the Digital World evolve into Mugendramon. Basically he can make the Digital World evolve with himself. He would have absorbed all that energy wich would be akin to a Big Bang and use it to destroy the doors leading to all parallel worlds and fuse them. Take into account that Digimon has a proper world hierarchy. The Human World(your conventional infinite multiverse) is at the bottom of the totem pole. There are infinite universes,timelines,space-times branching infinitely for each possible possiblity. The Human World runs by the stochastic process in quantum mechanics where there are infinite outcomes for each action, and each outcome is real in one of the universes of the multiverse. It's basically the same as the Many Worlds Interpretation. Then there's the Network in-between the connection between the worlds. A multi-layered interdimensional space that connects the worlds(6 layers/dimensions). The Digital World is beyond the Human World and the Network as in,it's in a hierarchical position superior to them. Like a higher dimension(Digimon works with Neoplatonic Emanationism). The Digital World transcends and errodes reality, stands at a higher structural level and is a superior structure to the point it encompasses the Human World. Even if you'd use the world itself as a means to process the Digital World is not possible. All analog human worlds are scattered around in the middle of the Digital World. The Digital World is infinite and multi-layered(again the layers can encompas infinite multiverses) with inner worlds(universes arguably multiverses) within the layers called servers and these worlds can have worlds of their own. Each layer has its own laws of physics and time progression. Due to the Neoplatonic emanationism setting there's a physical-metaphysical difference between the layers. So the DW is also a collection of higher dimensions. Yggdrasill's Digital World has infinite/overwhelming possibilities of worlds through a bottomless abyss of information. Omegamon Alter B would have affected all possible(countless in the dialogue of Shoma) worlds and merge them all in a supersized structure where there would be no difference between the Digital and Human World.
@@theonewhoismany8072 Well, from what they said in the game (iirc) it wouldn't just fuse the worlds, all of them colliding together would literally obliterate them all at once... so yeah, theoretically Alter B is more powerful than even your reply let on.
First off not that I expected it. Ur thanks for understanding why the outcome was the way it was. Now then... Oh guys don't do this to me...."Pokémon has more variation" I'm sorry but WHAT?! UH, NOT EVEN CLOSE Just...just watch Digimon Tamers and Digimon Frontier...that oughta give you an example of how different the series vary. Also all d idence points to you only ever having seen seasons 1 and 2 of Digimon. Tamers (3) and Frontier (4) are when the show got REAY good. Yes Pokémon is still going (unfortunately. I think the redesigns are clue enough it should've ended after X and Y) but it's the same formula each time. Digimon was only that similar between season 1 and 2. Tamers, Frontier, Data Squad, and...cross? I think that's what it was called...anyways Digimon changes drastically between seasons compared to Pokémon. Mainly thematically though.
what was your fave season mine was tamers never really liked season 4 I MEAN ITS NOT BAD BUT ITS NOT AS GOOD IN MY OPINION AS THE ONES BEFORE IT MY LEAST FAVE WAS DEFINITELY xros wars
greninjoe 23 ....4 is my favorite. dont get me wrong Tamers is the best of them all, but Frontier is better than both season 1 and 2. as for xros wars i tried to give it a chance and barely survived about a dozen episodes. for me in terms of how good each season is IMO its like this: 3 > 4 > 5 > 1 > 2 and anything else i cant be bothered to care about. as for what my order is in terms of favorites just switch the 3 and the 4.
Well the really strength of pokemon are the games, the anime is just i capitilizing manouver by TvTokyo and yes i agree they should have ended by X and Y it was really the peak...i have to be honest i hated digimon season 1 because the structure was this like every arc, they found a very strong digimon menacing over other digimon, the protagonist finds what is needed and his/her digimon evolves and "kills" the "evil" digimon....S2 was worse the only thing good was mr edgy wargreymon who was a real fresh idea for the series at the time...and then Tamers and Frontier happened and those were amazing, i'm more fan of the two because designs really but i have to agree that Tamers had better plot. i still like more Pokemon in games and animated spin-offs like generation and origins, but digimon is just full of good moments from the show.
They skipped Metal Greymon because they wouldn't have needed War Greymon otherwise. Totally forgot it was a /death/ battle until the blood started flowing. Red's case is special, but most trainers in Pokemon don't rely on their Pokemon for survival. The DigiDestined relied on their Digimon against real monsters and evil every step of the way.
this was about the game but whatever, while I haven't read the pokemon manga so I'm probably wrong but it seems death in the manga is a rare thing while in digimon every opponent is killed then because they are data repackaged into another baby digimon being reborn so they are free to kill whomever
Guy on the left knows no shit about digimon. It's Rookie - Champion - Ultimate - Mega Tai has the crest of Courage. Megami tensei made the whole concept first, then Digimon came out in japan first, then pokemon. It's opposite in America. Digimon came out months after cause of publishing reasons. Digimon has better stories and more memorable. While pokemon has a better game, that and it's mostly famed.
Well.... This was unexpected (i always thought every poketard were stupid) Most pokemon fans just say "OH MAH GAWD TAI PUNCHED RED HE FREAKING CHEATED!","BULLSHIT! DIGIMON IS A RIPOFF OF POKEMON! or "DIGIMON IS TRASH! POKEMON IS BETTER!" But i can see some pokemon fans aren't like that...
I'm not a Pokétard. But, I can agree with you that some of us are overprotective... ._. I'm a fan of both series but I barely like Pokémon more. I don't immediately lash out at others when someone asks who would win in a battle. I base my response on statistics. I was a little mad about how Red started the battle and acted in it, because that's not like him, but I know it was for battle purposes.
+TheAbsol Sorry if i called you a poketard....I like both pokemon and digimon (Im playing leafgreen right now....) And about the red doing things he wouldn't do thing....That's just how deathbattle is,They can't make the character have the same personality that they usually have and maybe deathbattle will force characters that don't fight, fight each other (I will name some characters that usually don't fight:) Cream The Rabbit Calumon (From digimon tamers) Happiny And Chansey (The pokemon anime) (I know that you said that it was for battle purposes i was just sharing my opinion) my opinion that all digimon fans and some pokemon fans agree with: Digimon Anime>>>>>>>>>>>>Pokemon Anime Pokemon Games>>>>>>>>Digimon Games (Cyber sleuth,The world games and Adventure PSP was not too far behind)
Sandlax 9 i might have to disagree with that how big do you think metal greymon was? Charizard would have the advantage of mobility still so that still is just a charizard x vs a glorified greymon sorry yes hes a nuke but just like greymon its will be hard for him to accurately hit a small target (wargreymon gets the size right to be able to keep up with charizards mobility advantage) but yes power wise metal greymon is enough but accuracy still sucks being that big and targeting something with way more mobility than you
@@scarletrose8766No he wouldn't. Metalgreymon may be a behemoth but he is incredibly fast for his size. In the novel he was compared with a Harrier Jet in flight aka almost Mach 1.
Well they dont die on cam unless its the manga is what they are referring to plus even if pokemon is shown to be as dark as digimon it still dosent change the outcome of the battle origins red would still not go for a fist fight (we all know how that would end up) charizard without command is a dead charizard....... they would still meet the same fate regardless when agumon became wargreymon all of charizards advantages gets thrown out the window size, mobility, power on top of dramon claw on wargreymon and brave shield makes it hard to do any damage towards him not even a blast burn made any dent on wargreymons armor
That was the name of his ultimate form. They did however create a Digimon PSP game where he (and everyone else in the series who didn't receive a mega) got a mega evolution.
A better match-up might have been pokemon vs bakugan instead with red and charizard against dan and drago (As shown in the first season) seeing as how 1. Neither shows have that 'win or die' as much as digimon does. 2. Both pokemon and bakugan evolve over time and not only for just the battle duration. 3. They both need their trainers to bring them out and help them fight, going back to their ball form when the fight is over.
For things to watch... One: The World of Remnants you've yet to do(there's two) For another, a newgrounds series called VG Exiles(I think it only has three episodes), and a newgrounds series called Xionic Madness.
@27:00 Well... Digimon have a reincarnation cycle, since they are Zeros and Ones. This allows for death to come more freely and frequently than Pokemon, which only REFERENCES death, and only have certain areas dedicated to remind you, 'oh, death IS in here, despite the fact that you never encounter it barring Ghost Marowak.'
I like the Digimon series a lot more than Pokémon, the Pkmn series is repetitive, and childish in my eyes, with each new season it's like Ash forgets everything he ever learned and the it's always the same: beat the gyms, catch all the pokemon and defeat Team rocked+regional Team all this while he travels with 2 or 3 friends. And there's very little character development. While digimon has a far more interesting story line, or at least the first few seasons have, with each new season they introduce new stuff like new forms of evolution and new enemies whom themselves have an interesting backstory. But when the first season of Digimon was dubbed to english they tried to make it the "new pokemon", in the original version all characters are as important and you see they're development and how they grow, in the english dub they made it so Tai was the "leader" or the main character . I personally hate the English dub because of this and quality wise ( the opening i sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bad, sry to anyone whom likes it :p ). I still think the Pokemon games are better and the movies aren't bad but I stopped liking the tv series when i was 12-13.
+João Pedro Almeida I agree with you on pretty much everything you said. the pokemon anime was literally like the game at a certain point. you restarted the game, or started another edition but you had the same character and the same starting pokemon that somehow lost half of it`s abilities and levels to make it not op at the start of the new region, like what? Even though the games are awesome (even though they are more or less all the same, let`s be honest here) the series lost it`s appeal pretty quick, while even the bad seasons in digimon had their shining moments. and yeah the digimon opening for the english speaking people/population is so bad. so happy to live in germany for our version of the original and not repetitive digimon, digital monsters digimon are the champions crap. seriously if you have the name of the show 3 times in your refrain that only consists of 7 words it`s pretty pathetic
Leomon got absorbed on tamers, everyone who died in tamers died for good, they all got intense on that season absorbing everyone who was defeated, it took me a re watch to get the weight of leomons death in tamers, he didnt just get reset, he died.
88 expert Well, yeah but considering how many digimon die its surprising only a few stay dead, and its not like they got absorbed because they became kind of like spirits but not really XD
I'm a digimon fan through and through but they did kind of pocket off the original success (not being a bad thing, look at all the stuff we got from it)
Digimon tri is going to have mimi and joes digimon digivolve to mega in the next movie/episodes set, so I think the rest of the digimon partners will make it to mega as well
Ya it was the crests followed the kids emotional STRENGTHS not their weaknesses, and they had to do something TRULY in line with their crest to unlock it. so "True Courage", "True Friendship", "True Love", "True Wisdom", "True Reliability", "True Sincerity" and "True Hope". Doing so unlocked the Ultimate form and after words it became much easier to use. For Tai that was doing something even though he WAS scared, for Matt it meant not giving up on his friends no matter what, For Sora it meant trying to save some one even if they didnt want to be saved, for Izzy it meant gaining understanding not just knowledge, For Joe it meant being there for some one with out any though for himself, for Mimi it was being honest not just about what was going on, but to herself and how she felt, and for TK it was having Hope when all hope seemed lost.
you are half right on the digimon the crest lit up when there crest was at there strongest like joe was reliability meaning his activated when he was reliable for someones life, also they really didnt need the crest because they had their traits within them the whole time. (also im commenting before i watch the reaction part )
MetalGarurumon, you're thinking about. Anyway, what would be the point of MetalGreymon fighting? If Greymon hadn't reverted to Agumon from taking a lot of damage, then maybe he would've had the chance, but Agumon warp-digivolving into Wargreymon was basically matching Mega with Mega, if you think about it.
a Pokeball isnt a tiny prison, to Pokemon it is a seperate digital dimension for them to have their freedom until their trainer , also If you read the Pokedex entries it entails many pokemon eating and killing each other for survival in the wild. Also in Pokemon Origins it talks about pokemon like marowak being killed by team rocket and Red killing Blue's raticate on the ship in a battle.
In actuality the digimon also never really died (at least until season 5). They actually lose all their collected data (experience) and return to an egg form.
FYI, there is a new digimon series called Digimon tri which is basically the session after digimon adventures 1 and 2. In it the other digidestined's digimon end up mega evolving as well.
MetalGarurumon, it uses invisible laser sensors (including but not limited to infrared, ultraviolet and X-ray) on its snout to analyze its opponents, even before identifying it with its other senses.
In my opinion, the fact that they used a different cast in each digimon series makes it actually a lot better. Because digimon is a series about growing up. The characters learn their lessons and then the story ends, like everything in life. Like the summer through their adventure kept place. Doing another series z continuation centered at them would make the whole thing seem pointless. Whereas as you said, pokemon are more like self-insert but when it's going for so long and Ash is a forever young main character who acts exactly the same, never ends his journey, never grows up, never learns it for me personally looses the point. They also love to repeat some episodes in every series and well, it gets really boring. The games are good, and well the strength of pokemon comes from the fact it is just a fun game where you catch, train and battle monsters. It's entertaining because you take part in it. Digimon despite starting as tamagotchi (so no, they weren't exactly inspired by pokemon as much as a lot of people think, they were just tamagotchi for boys) in the series went for a different approach. They may not be as popular as pokemon, but they are still going strong, and they inspired a lot of people in their own unique way. Like, I probably wouldn't like them as much as I do if they were more like pokemon. For me personally pokemon are really meh when I try to come back. They kinda fun but I can't really find this excitement I had for than when I was 11. Whereas for digimon I can come back over and over again, endlessly, always feeling the same awe, the same spark that inspired me so much back when I first watched them.
Well technically he only owns half of omnimon/omegamon (and thier merciful mode counterpart) so going by full ownership yes wargreymon is tais strongest partner
Dude I was rooting for Charizard at first but when red just abused those two like an asshole I was rooting for the digimon I would have fought red fist fight wshh as soon as he hit the digimon if I was the kid 😂😂
Pokemon had better marketing and was on a more popular channel. Also Pokemon repeats the same story over and over, while Digimon had different characters and story each season.
Despite War Greymons Steel weakness he makes up for it in strength and kick-ass weaponry. Pokemon like Charizard, or any Non-God-Tier pokemon could ever defeat a final form Digimon. Not to mention that while War Greymon does get a Steel weakness he still maintains Dragon and Fire reisistance. I prefer pokemon, but this was an easy match to call.
I know this is an old comment but I don't get the persistence some Pokemon fans have to state that WarGreymon somehow gains a weakness to fire due to steel typing despite WarGreymon not being a steel type Pokemon.
Actually, Pokemon do die. Cuebone are wearing the skull of it's mother. (Who was killed by a Team Rocket member in the original games.) Ghost Pokemon exist for a reasons. People eat Pokemon in the games. Like slowpoke tails. One town from the original games is straight up a Pokemon graveyard.
Alonzo Tompkins yeah except none of them die on cam unless its stated or in the movie and manga ....... where as in digimon you literally see a digimon die for good or gets erased etc. In pokemon yes they die but limit them to words but never shown on cam and pokemon is still a sports to people heck we see pokemon racing each other like the ryhorn race
Have you ever read Pokemon Adventure Manga thats a true epic story of Red :P btw he picked Bulbasaur and his Rival Green picked Charmander so there team mate can resemble there rival in a symbolic sense. Btw you dont know a good Pokemon battle until you see Red's Venusaur vs Green's Charizard or Red's Snorlax vs Green's Machamp Red's fight with Bruno is epic as well and Yellow vs Lance is legendary.
+AxelMok4youReviews You mean the Pokemon adventure/specials manga series. yup that was epic and Red's Venusaur now has the ability to mege evolve with blue and green's blastoise and charizard too.
+Prominece Yeah xD and sorry I flipped the name with the Anime Movie they were talking about I guess it was in my head and I just wrote it down cause of that.
They said in post show Bayonetta would be in the first death battle next year, when you said sailor moon it got thinking maybe they should battle, they both represent the moon in some manner, and both have interesting outfits.
+Muzammil Baloch Omegamon (or Omnimon as you put it) is one of the most absurdly powered digimon in existence. The digidestined's version might be able to lose, but the actual Omegamon who guards the gate to Yggdrasil destroys entire continents with a flick, and he's not even a god..he's just the servant of one.
Digital Dragon yes, but when i said he was one of the most absurd i was speaking mroe in terms of not counting the god digimon, since his role is servant to a god. Compared to the normal mega levels, he's among the strongest.
That depends on which season you're talking about and the circumstances. In Adventure, digimon killed in the real world stayed, Tamers had them dying period and in Savers they revived but lost all memory of who they were.
Well. If it is from the first season. They don't technically die. For example. Angemon sacrificed himself and all his data reverted back to an egg 🔚 kept all his memories.
It clearly didn't or he wouldn't be a ghost in the real world. The same with Myotismon who outright said he couldn't get back to the Digital World on his own.
Actually, in Pokemon Red/Blue Garys Raticate dies on the ship, because there is no pokemon center on or nearby the ship and thus Gary goes to the tower in Lavender town to put him to rest, along with when you battle him he is MISSING his raticate.
i kinda think its ironic how tai punches red and says stop hurting my friend and call of your dragon and then fricking wargreymane comes and just impales the shit out of charizard and kills him and red
Leaving aside Death Battle being Death battle, not too ironic. Last time Tai saw WGM he blocked the Blast Burn and wouldn't have been able to see him. And then he saw a cut up Zard being flung towards Red. Keep in mind, Tai doesn't order Agumon around like Red orders Zard. WGM killing Red and Zard is WGM's decision.
I think Pokemon has been better at being consistent while Digimon has currently been better with resurgence with Digimon Tri, Cyber sleuth and the many other games there making.
prdprdprdprdprdel by that logic the whole lavender town would disagree having a cemetary tower ...... Butt no on screen death did they show cubones mother death on cam? I forgot I know ash turned into a ghost at one point (maybe pikachu) but they dint stay dead
Well I am more of a Digimon fan. But I only like Digimon 01, Digimon 02, Digimon Tamers. The season after that not so much. But after this 4th season it became to crazy for me. In term of story Digimon Tamers is easily my favourite season but the original characters are still my favourites
+Stefan Buruschkin that makes sense
Asmosis Jones well people dreams do change when they get older.
@@razkable sora did get some self care growth during tri though that explained that to a degree
One of my favourite things to hear is "Pokemon would have won if they used their legendaries!"
Oh, so, shall we pull in the Devas?
+John Richards
plus digimon has stuff like Shakamon, who is based on Chakravartin, the bestower of Chakra and the one who sits upon the throne of the universe.
.
Digimon characters, lorewise, are born from internet sites of such things as religious texts, ancient myths, and fables.
+Nakumare To be fair, most of the legendaries in Pokémon are based on legends and deities as well.
They just aren't as close as Digimon gets.
You forgot ZeedMillenmon, not sure if I wrote his name right
I actually really like her breakdown of the brutal killing and why it worked.
I think Pokemon is a better game, but Digimon is a better series.
Except for right now with Digimon games being far better.
@@khulmach9662 Many past Digimon games were good (like re-digitized)
@@JayRedGear Re-digitized is in the era of good Digimon games.
Honestly some digimon games are preety fun, far more than people give them credit for. I think I still enjoy Pokemon more but Digimon is preety close. Plus they actually shake things up instead of letting it stagnate
Cybersleuth are great games
What makes Pokemon more well known and liked than Digimon is the games. The Pokemon games is what drives the series. The show is fun, sure, but in terms of actual show quality, that's where Digimon shines. Digimon has a much more in depth story and isn't afraid to dive into more mature and deep content. Digimon season 3, Digimon Tamers, for example has a darker theme and tone; as well as touching upon various subjects that Pokemon hasn't really covered (or hasn't really pulled off that well).
Plus digimons characters actually evolve and have a movie that doesnt follow the same basic rules as the final of the shows season
in my opinion I'm more a digimon fan than a pokemon fan so when I saw this battle I knew digimon would win.
Same here. Especially since they chose one of the most OP Digimon to face a somewhat similar Pokémon that’s basically the Pokémon poster boy, albeit infinitely weaker than its Digimon counterpart.
Ok
Well on one hand you have a dragon that can melt boulders, and in the other hand you got a dragon that can Spirit bomb...
I think you know which would win
Yay same
To be honest Metal Greymon was more than enough, Wargreymon is simply overkill
LanaDelBae actually metal greymon still has the disadvantage of being too big of a target while charizard is still smaller and can still dance around metal greymon however with wargreymon all of charizards means of winning gets thrown out the window
@@scarletrose8766 I'm pretty sure having power equal to a nuclear warhead would be enough... Plus, MetalGreymon has absurdly strong defences.
@@scarletrose8766 yeah that's why in the show he can do any move and their partners don't get hurt huh
ahwoofe have you seen where they are standing?
No point in fighting something so big it could crush you like a ant and so tanky your attacks barely sting it
@@nabi7701 greymon could probably just bite charizard in two
@@cristalmewtwo4160 not too sure
@Scarlet Rose size isn't as important here as you seem to think it is.
+PropfetMisfit09
digimon is still going too. new season/movies to continue Tai's story, and their newest game might actually come to the states.
There are other portions that bug me and others i like, but like i said it's kinda hit and miss to me from a design standpoint.
the anime pokemon dont die, the manga they get murdered hard
+Vork88 the manga is not canon
+jeff blacklight Neither is the anime, the games are the true canon.
Jose Ayala i just say it because all the "pokemon die" thing
+jeff blacklight Pokémon (and humans) do die in the games, just because you don't see it doesn't mean it doesn't happen, heck it's also referenced in many a Pokedex entry, might I remind you about Team Rocket beating a Marowak to death in Lavander Town? or Alders starter having died? or Lookers Croagunk dying in a mission? or the three legendary beast of Jotho being the reincarnation of three Pokémon that died in fire? among many other fucked up things people seem to overlook about Pokémon regarding death.
Jose Ayala i say that you never see them die... of course they die... we all gonna die someday
Actually, Shin Megami Tensei came before Pokemon and Digimon.
The idea of talking to and making monsters your allies to fight other monsters. Not saying Pokemon and Digimon ripped it off, just saying Pokemon didn't invent that idea.
really! O_O
for the longest time I though that Pokemon was first to come with the idea of capturing monsters
+Jeno Rammstein Eh, didnt Digimon spawn from Tamogachis that predate both series? o.o
Fusions. Resetting to level 1. and now the frontier games for Digimon has SMT artists (Cybersleuth, Next Order AND Re Digitize)
ailehunter
TBH I haven't played much of SMT, I've been interested but never really got a chance to get into it so I can't say much on that front.
It truly hurts me seeing people who have no idea what their saying describe Digimon.
Joe's crest was that of reliability. Tai had the crest of courage.
+DarkSun123456789 Uuuuum what are you talking about? Digimon games kick ass. The Digimon World games are freaking amazing.

That is definitely not true.
Thepokeblader7777 joe never had the crest his was Reliability. And the crest courage it was Tai
in the Japanese dub he had mimi's crest.
WTF are you talking about? LOL/
Pokemon was the one that kept rebooting their story with added little new things.
Which doesnt make it a continuation
@@autumbreeze1129 No, Digimon Adventure is not a TV show in the Tamers universe. Who laughed when Tai started punching the heck out of Red?
YIEN ASEAN Nah even as wargreymon he should of been twice as taller then charizard since wargreymon is about 10ft while Charizard is about 5foot 7in
Digital Silver101 he's saying that, he's only twice as tall as Charizard when he should tower him
Greyjoy was 20ft metalgreymon was 40
Yeah Charizard can melt boulders, but probably have a hard time with something stronger than tungsten and titanium and platinum, and whatever the frick else you can think of
The reason Pokemon is still going and digimon makes new shows instead is because each Digimon show stops when the creators are done with their story. Pokemon just says 'fuck it' and keeps going and doing the same thing, no matter how boring and repetetive it's getting.

:)
no Omnimon's name in japan is omegamon, Alphamon is already taken

If you like digimon and you haven't seen the third season, you're missing out. It starts off pretty basic but I gets really mature by the end.
Poor Leomon, the Sean Bean of Digimon
Dude when Red threw that second pokeball at Greymon all I heard was "HAVE A BISCUIT!"

Comments for the reaction video...
Ultra? Its Ultimate... but eh Ultra works...
(JP is pretty much Baby -> Child -> Adult -> Perfect -> Ultimate -> Super Ultimate)
In digimon... death for a digimon can mean 1 of few things.
Did i just list all 6 seasons of digimon and manga... yeah i probably did. xD
I happily suggest that you guys watch Digimon Tamers (season 3), Digimon Savers/Data Squad (Season 5) and Digimon xros wars (Season . The HD Version remake of Digimon Adventure is not a remake, its an extension of the first's story into highschool.
Little late here, but whatever
Ultra is the English name usually used for the super ultimate level
I'm glad you mentioned the crests, but you got it backwards. Each digidestined had their crest that was representative of their STRONGEST trait, Tai was Courage because well, he was bold and headstrong, Joe's was Responsibility because he was the most level-headed, careful, etc. and so on for all the rest of them.
For the crests, it wasn't the weakest trait, it was the strongest trait. And Joe's crest was reliability, not courage. That was Tai's.
Crests were what trait they were best with when they became the digidestined.
He said that Gengar was a Psychic type and that Psychic was weak to one another lmao
+EpicNightShades While i agree on the gengar part, even though he could use psychic attacks, they were still weak against ghost/psychic attacks in the first generation so yeah great burn there dude -.-
+DarkSun123456789 Thanks bud 😉
I haven't played first gen in 5 years maybe xD
EpicNightShades i haven`t either, for even longer, since i can`t find them anywhere :D But then again i`m a games/anime/manga nerd so this useless information stays in my brain for far longer than it is needed.
+DarkSun123456789 If the guy really said that Psychic was weak to one another though, he'd be wrong. Psychic is not weak against itself.
AstralBronyCorp
Maybe they might finally one day beat omegamon; the fusion of two megas :D
But in all seriousness they should of chosen Porygon vs a digimon, they're both digital monsters; would of been a fair fight ^^
UH, NOT EVEN CLOSE
Just...just watch Digimon Tamers and Digimon Frontier...that oughta give you an example of how different the series vary.
Mainly thematically though.
what was your fave season mine was tamers never really liked season 4 I MEAN ITS NOT BAD BUT ITS NOT AS GOOD IN MY OPINION AS THE ONES BEFORE IT MY LEAST FAVE WAS DEFINITELY xros wars
greninjoe 23 ....4 is my favorite. dont get me wrong Tamers is the best of them all, but Frontier is better than both season 1 and 2.
as for xros wars i tried to give it a chance and barely survived about a dozen episodes.
for me in terms of how good each season is IMO its like this:
3 > 4 > 5 > 1 > 2 and anything else i cant be bothered to care about. as for what my order is in terms of favorites just switch the 3 and the 4.
okay cool i like hearing other peoples opinions on these kind of things
greninjoe 23 same.
The DigiDestined relied on their Digimon against real monsters and evil every step of the way.
marthdaeglin Except when you have to fight Groudon or Kyogre.
In digimon it's still way more constant and are constantly full on killing each other no know one back or knock one out
Dannie 826 The Pokemon Manga is the same way, except that pokemon usually can come back as ghosts sometimes. Not often but sometimes.
this was about the game but whatever, while I haven't read the pokemon manga so I'm probably wrong but it seems death in the manga is a rare thing while in digimon every opponent is killed then because they are data repackaged into another baby digimon being reborn so they are free to kill whomever
Looks like Red turn to... Ash
Booo
19:57 Greymon is so strong his tail whip does damage
Guy on the left knows no shit about digimon. It's Rookie - Champion - Ultimate - Mega
Tai has the crest of Courage. Megami tensei made the whole concept first, then Digimon came out in japan first, then pokemon. It's opposite in America. Digimon came out months after cause of publishing reasons.
Digimon has better stories and more memorable. While pokemon has a better game, that and it's mostly famed.
To be fair, Red was being a bit of a jerk to Tai. I think it was ok for Tai to punch him. Red was being absolutely brutal to Agumon.
Yeah,Red just attackts tai and agumon out of nowhere
Yes. He tried to capture Agumon twice despite it being obvious he had a partner. And, Tai never wanted a fight to begin with.
+TheAbsol Sorry if i called you a poketard....I like both pokemon and digimon (Im playing leafgreen right now....) And about the red doing things he wouldn't do thing....That's just how deathbattle is,They can't make the character have the same personality that they usually have and maybe deathbattle will force characters that don't fight, fight each other (I will name some characters that usually don't fight:)
Cream The Rabbit
Calumon (From digimon tamers)
Happiny And Chansey (The pokemon anime)
(I know that you said that it was for battle purposes i was just sharing my opinion)
my opinion that all digimon fans and some pokemon fans agree with:
Digimon Anime>>>>>>>>>>>>Pokemon Anime
Pokemon Games>>>>>>>>Digimon Games (Cyber sleuth,The world games and Adventure PSP was not too far behind)
lets be real here: agumon didn't need to digivolve to war greymon metal greymon would still trump charizard
Sandlax 9 i might have to disagree with that how big do you think metal greymon was? Charizard would have the advantage of mobility still so that still is just a charizard x vs a glorified greymon sorry yes hes a nuke but just like greymon its will be hard for him to accurately hit a small target (wargreymon gets the size right to be able to keep up with charizards mobility advantage) but yes power wise metal greymon is enough but accuracy still sucks being that big and targeting something with way more mobility than you
@@scarletrose8766 Metalgreymon can fly as well and has missiles.
@@tims1686 still probably not as agile as wargreymon but I guess while it wasn't necessary the dramon killer did some hellva lot of work
@@scarletrose8766No he wouldn't. Metalgreymon may be a behemoth but he is incredibly fast for his size. In the novel he was compared with a Harrier Jet in flight aka almost Mach 1.

Pokemon don't die? Someone hasn't been to Lavender Town
Or read the Manga. Jesus Christ, they show an Arbok's insides! Bones and all!
---or read the Manga
The crests weren't the aspects they lacked. It was what they were strongest in when they were kids.
i love your death battle reactions
What about Izzy?
There was definitely a Mega Kabuterimon.
That was the name of his ultimate form. They did however create a Digimon PSP game where he (and everyone else in the series who didn't receive a mega) got a mega evolution.
Ah, I see. Well that's a confusing choice on the creator's part lol. Giving an ultimate form a "Mega" in its name XD
Mega kabuterimon was actually his ultimate form, the mega is only in the name. I would have loved to see a mega form of that huge ass bug
Technically, the Japanese version is AtlurKabuterimon.
+Thomas Morato isn't HerculesKabuterimon his Mega form?
A better match-up might have been pokemon vs bakugan instead with red and charizard against dan and drago (As shown in the first season) seeing as how
1. Neither shows have that 'win or die' as much as digimon does.
2. Both pokemon and bakugan evolve over time and not only for just the battle duration.
3. They both need their trainers to bring them out and help them fight, going back to their ball form when the fight is over.
Bakugan Wrecks, their on the same level as Digimon u know
For things to watch... One: The World of Remnants you've yet to do(there's two)
For another, a newgrounds series called VG Exiles(I think it only has three episodes), and a newgrounds series called Xionic Madness.
@27:00
Well...
This aged
Digimon don't die they get reborn as brand new baby Digimon its shows this in digimon season 1
Only if their data is not absorved by other digimon. And, they wouldn't reborn either if they die in another place but digital world.
Leomon got absorbed on tamers, everyone who died in tamers died for good, they all got intense on that season absorbing everyone who was defeated, it took me a re watch to get the weight of leomons death in tamers, he didnt just get reset, he died.
88 expert how did he die exactly? cant remember, it`s interesting how he became a ghost
88 expert yes but isnt it weird that he is one of the few cases when a digimon actualy stays dead in the adventure universe?
88 expert Well, yeah but considering how many digimon die its surprising only a few stay dead, and its not like they got absorbed because they became kind of like spirits but not really XD
Digimon: frontier was one of favorite seasons. I mean this time YOU were the Digimon pretty much
digimon has a way better storyline than pokemon.... not a rip off at alll
16:14 now that's what i call a dead parrot. if you get that thank you.
That reaction when Charizard gets speared😂😂😂
Don't you love butterfly the song for digimon (Japanese) it's great
It is amazing
It's nice,
but I also like the English version so I can understand it like braveheart
a Pokeball isnt a tiny prison, to Pokemon it is a seperate digital dimension for them to have their freedom until their trainer , also If you read the Pokedex entries it entails many pokemon eating and killing each other for survival in the wild. Also in Pokemon Origins it talks about pokemon like marowak being killed by team rocket and Red killing Blue's raticate on the ship in a battle.
+The Alpha Wolf 06 ok but still it is like they are being imprisoned which is why heart gold and soul silver were my favs because some pokemon did not
Tai's Mega Digimon was WarGreymon (from Agumon by WarpDigivolution), Matt's Mega Digimon was MetalGarurumon (from Gabumon by WarpDigivolution).
Digimon, digital monsters, garlic CHAMPIONS!
In actuality the digimon also never really died (at least until season 5). They actually lose all their collected data (experience) and return to an egg form.
+pokemongranny1 In season 3 their data never came back. Those who died.....died for realz
+Epic-Fran! Oh yeah I forgot about them. Though back then their data technically got eaten by their killers.
Leomon…
The crest is shows their strongest trait. Tai had courage not joe. Joe had the crest of reliability.
There's over a 1000 digimon man
they have almost 0 knoledge of digimon. I can say most of the pokemon advantages metioned are non-existent.
in the digimon games ,the digimon battled without orders or commands
"Pokemon spawned this whole thing." That is incorrect sir. Pokemon was the first to get westernized, but digimon was released first in Japan.
+DragonRuler96 Actually it wasn't, Digimon came out in Japan roughly a year after Pokemon did, and before Pokemon was brought to the west.
Metalgarurumon is the name you were looking for.
For me the funiest part of this video is that Wargreymon isn't Taichis most powerful digimon partner
Death Battle needs an alter-ego series
Tai and VeeDramon vs Tai and Agumon
Well technically he only owns half of omnimon/omegamon (and thier merciful mode counterpart) so going by full ownership yes wargreymon is tais strongest partner
Dude I was rooting for Charizard at first but when red just abused those two like an asshole I was rooting for the digimon
I would have fought red fist fight wshh as soon as he hit the digimon if I was the kid 😂😂
You guys should react to "Starter Squad".
Leomon should go to the Pokemon world, maybe there he'll stop dying
I call bull crap, Charizard used fire blast more than five times!!!
Actually, Pokemon do die. Cuebone are wearing the skull of it's mother. (Who was killed by a Team Rocket member in the original games.)
Ghost Pokemon exist for a reasons.
Pokemon is the save story dough. Caught them all. LOL
ok that got bloodier that wolverine vs Raiden
Have you ever read Pokemon Adventure Manga thats a true epic story of Red :P btw he picked Bulbasaur and his Rival Green picked Charmander so there team mate can resemble there rival in a symbolic sense.
Btw you dont know a good Pokemon battle until you see Red's Venusaur vs Green's Charizard or Red's Snorlax vs Green's Machamp
Red's fight with Bruno is epic as well and Yellow vs Lance is legendary.
Yeah except they were a different cannon than the red origins cannon
"psychic types" "like gengar" are you freaking serious?
They said in post show Bayonetta would be in the first death battle next year, when you said sailor moon it got thinking maybe they should battle, they both represent the moon in some manner, and both have interesting outfits.
If you think MetalGreymon is a long name, try saying HerculesKabuterimon... yes that's real.
HerculesKabuterimon X-Antibody is funnier.

Omnimon X vs Arceus. Now that would be a great fight
+Muzammil Baloch That fight would be over in 10 seconds xD

Omegamon (or Omnimon as you put it) is one of the most absurdly powered digimon in existence. The digidestined's version might be able to lose, but the actual Omegamon who guards the gate to Yggdrasil destroys entire continents with a flick, and he's not even a god..he's just the servant of one.
+Nakumare Actually Omegamon or Omnimon isn't even in the top 10
Digital Dragon yes, but when i said he was one of the most absurd i was speaking mroe in terms of not counting the god digimon, since his role is servant to a god. Compared to the normal mega levels, he's among the strongest.
Red: Charzard, Return!
Also Red: Missing No., I choose you!
I watched this about 7 times, and that ending still makes scares me.
then you are weak. that isn't that gruesome. I could explain something more gruesome if you want.
This might be a little late info. Digimon don't technically die.
Yes but they could still die for good if they were killed in the real world, Wizardmon for example.
Well. We don't know about Wizardmon because his data could've gone back to the digital world.
It clearly didn't or he wouldn't be a ghost in the real world. The same with Myotismon who outright said he couldn't get back to the Digital World on his own.
It's Ultimate not Ultra. Just letting you know :)
+Vivien Ramirez - Or Perfect in the Japanese version.
+TDPNeji Exactly!
@@ThunderDragonRandy kinda funny how it's called perfect/ultimate when there is a higher level (sometimes even even another level after that)
Actually, in Pokemon Red/Blue Garys Raticate dies on the ship, because there is no pokemon center on or nearby the ship and thus Gary goes to the tower in Lavender town to put him to rest, along with when you battle him he is MISSING his raticate.
myths myths everywhere
i kinda think its ironic how tai punches red and says stop hurting my friend and call of your dragon and then fricking wargreymane comes and just impales the shit out of charizard and kills him and red
Cubones mom would disagree...

Well I am more of a Digimon fan. But I only like Digimon 01, Digimon 02, Digimon Tamers. The season after that not so much. But after this 4th season it became to crazy for me. In term of story Digimon Tamers is easily my favourite season but the original characters are still my favourites
