This reminds me of the way Korean dramas that have supernatural entities and gods, always show heaven/spirit-realm/grim-reapers as some sort of bureaucratic institution the regulate life on Earth, it seems to be ingrained in Korean folklore.
Yes. In a lot of Asian fictions, God is often portrayed as the head of a bureaucratic organization working behind his desk regulating life and death. He sends out the shinigami (the Grim Reaper in Japanese folklore) or Jeosung Saja (the Grim Reaper in Korean folklore) to help guide and cleanse spirits before they enter his spiritual realm for judgment. I've seen this in various Japanese movies, TV shows, animes, and Korean dramas/TV shows. So, this might also be the inspiration behind the lore in InZoi. The game has a Karma system, and I think I spotted a tab labeled "souls" in one of the UI menus during a let's play. So, it seems like we will also get to have the role of the grim reaper ourselves, deciding whether to revive a Zoi soul or send it off to the game's version of Heaven and Hell.
@@steven-r7c Yeah, you said what I meant but more thoroughly and with no spelling mistakes like I did hahahah. I grew up with a lot of Asian folklore books, always found the way they portrait the dynamics of life and death and the in-between to be quite interesting and I love that they integrated this into the game, and you even have a cat as some sort of guardian/guide which reminds me of the Japanese kaibyo stories. People in the comments saying they found it off-putting but I think its very meta of them, 'cause in real life you pretty much is 'playing god' with a life simulation game, but now you're playing god IN the game as well lol.

Im sure there will be. I can see lots of small dots on the world, which probably means they are currently locked. I also suggested in their discord to have a rural area for each country.
How interesting.."you are part of zoi care team".. i think the suggestion is you are your zoi's spirit guide. The library refering to akashic record, first floor being 3rd dimention our physical world that we are aware of, second floor being a higher dimension that a zoi would be able to access after death. Each book is a book of life of every zoi that lived. Karma being mentioned i am wondering if zois will be able to reincarnate? That would be too much wouldnt it? Do i sound crazy? Its past midnight and i cant tell if im having some kind of enlightnment or falling asleep..
Love it.. and as someone who follows the new age philosophy, I'm here for it! Also love how they have tarot cafe's in the game. I hope at some point zoi's can work there.
In the sims 4 when you interact with someone they have specific categories, but inzoi makes it more unpredictable. I think that brings a lot of realism into the game

@@acottonsock okay thanks, will it be a live session and what time ? Really love your videos and please can you be like a ceo or manager in the game you know like be the boss ?
The usage of "gods" makes me a little uncomfortable too, mainly because I'm a Christian and have just had some classes regarding the "weird" parts of the Bible that aren't talked about much in church. Specifically how at the Towel of Babel, God (with a big G aka Yahweh) caused humans to start speaking different languages and scattering to all corners of the world, then he assigned the different nations (Deuteronomy 32: 8-9) to what we in western civilization would equate to arch-angels, many of whom didn't carry out His wishes and corrupted the nations, convincing the people to worship the arch angels (little g gods) instead of Yahweh. Then if you read Psalm 82, boy-howdy, you think twice before removing pool ladders or the InZoi equivalent.
Well, it's not dystopia, but these games are already a simulation in themselves, and by adding another layer they simulate a simulation within a simulation, which I find quite redundant and unnecessary.
So far just the three are confirmed for release, Dowon (based on Seoul), Bliss Bay (based on Santa Monica), and Cahaya (an Indonesian coastal city). I agree and hope that a European-inspired city will come in the future!
Hmm, so there's no real lore, just background stories and tutorials. When we talk about lore, including Plumbella, we mean actual stories of the townies-not just written backstories like in The Sims 4, but real situations that play out in the game.
As there is cleaning in this game, do homes get dirty with time if your Zoi neglects cleaning? Can Zoi's get ill if their homes are left dirty for a fortnight or a month? I feel homes should get dirty within a week, like in real-life, and Zoi's should use Saturdays or Sundays to dust, polish, vacuum, wipe kitchen countertops and oven tops, clean bathrooms, maybe spray and wipe mirrors, wash and dry clothes, and empty rubbish bins. If they can have pets in this game, they should have to clean the pet bowls and change litter trays. This could be sooooo satisfying. The sparkles that appear after the vacuuming are beautiful and reminded me of classic Disney Cinderella magic sparkles.
@@SevenEllen Zois' houses actually do get dirty and they do have to clean them. Clothes as well. You have to clean and wash your clothes from time to time. Pets haven't been added yet, but it would be nice to have to clean for them as well when they get introduced.

this game looks so amazing, but the lack of communication regarding monetization is a bit frightening. when you were showing off the messages with Henri, there was a grayed out button labeled "Meow Store", implying that we can purchase Meow (the in game currency of inZOI). i don't know if it's going to be there for release but i hope that it won't be, as playing in a sandbox fashion where you can have as little or as much money as you want is vital without having to spare more real-life money.
I was disappointed that the girl in the Inzoi video with the white hat, white crop top, and torn jeans was not available in the CAZ Character Studio for download. I didn't see her or her clothing anywhere.
Thanks for explaining! The frequent pushing of being a 'God' and the game tapping into spiritual elements is very off-putting for me personally as I feel that intertwines with sacred beliefs that I don't feel are necessary to include in the game, but it was helpful for you to talk it through!
The idea of being a ‘God’ is kinda not a 100% new concept. Theres litterally a subgenra of simulation games called god games where you have basically a birds eye view and you make a series of decisions that affect a ‘world’ population without ever being or living in that population. Games like SimCity play it down by like making you the “mayor” but in SimCity 4 starting your city litterally starts at creation with teraforming and such before you get into the modern day city management aspects of your city. mayors don’t do that, its god-like powers.
concept of gods, heaven and hell are very different in Korean culture. good drama for these are Tale of the nine tailed and goblin. you accumulate karma and get ready to be born again. if you have more bad karma, you get a punishment for certain number of years before you get to reincarnate and correct yourself
