    Thanks for the important information. I wanted to add that simply having a pacemaker doesn't mean that you can't have an MRI. A patient that is pacemaker dependent may have more difficulty tolerating an MRI scan, but with proper programming, many patients can receive a scan with their pacemaker representative present or a person trained to reprogram the pacemaker. I know that Penn has trained staff on-site to understand how to receive the MRI in an MRI-safe programming zone.
