Hi Scott :) You Helped me out of a bind Again :) I Was Able to fix my Bosh Dishwasher twice :) First time the washer would not fill with water, It looked like a bad water valve, but it was the wire corroded inside the plastic connector , ok, I changed the water valve any way and used wire butt connectors to repair the wire after i cut out the bad wire connector assy. 2nd time the magnetic reed switch on the door got stuck, I tapped the door area where the reed switch was at and used a strong magnet to cycle the switch, got it working again :) Now my Bosh oven was not lighting up, I checked the Igniter as per your video and found that it was bad, I ordered another Igniter on Amazon and replaced it, Works great now, I had a heck of a time trying to replace the oven Door it heavy for me, I called my son over to install it for me, next month i will turn 70 Years old :) but I still look 35 :) THANK YOU SCOTT For all the Valuable FIX IT INFO you put on TH-cam, Chellie, I am A Retired Female Industrial Operation Engineer. My range is only 6 yrs old and we've replaced the igniter once (warranty was still in place), but it's gone again and now out of warranty. It is truly frustrating for such an expensive range.
I have this exact model and neither the bake or the broil option is working. I already replaced the bake igniter two years ago. Could this be something different? or if one igniter is broken does it shut the gas down until it’s replaced?
Hi great video, I think I have the exact same oven, and I can’t get the door back on. It’s driving me crazy. I can’t tell if the hinges are in the same position as yours
Make sure the hinges are closer to the oven before you try to put it back on..if it makes it any easy, try to hold the door like you would hold a window…and make sure the door is only a few inches from the oven…slide the door hinges where it should be and it should be easy from there
Fixed my oven following these steps. Super easy! But…. The igniter died again in less than a year. Thinking it’s because my oven runs on propane which burns hotter and can burn out the igniter faster, or so I understand. Anyone know anything about this?
If you can pull the stove away from the wall it is much easier to make the connections as the gas valve and control box are right out in the open. When I replaced my igniter I just mounted the new one, fed the wires through the hole, and made the connections in the back away from the oven heat. My old igniter also had ceramic sleaves aver the wires which I simply slid over the wires on the new one before connecting. Doing it this way could probably be done without removing the door which can be a real challenge to reinstall.

No problem, doing it yourself you’re only out about 30.00 for a new igniter 👍

I’ve got the feeling that the bake igniter from 2 years ago is already bad.
Replacing it should fix it.

Can you send me a video of you putting the door back on to: scottthefixitguy@yahoo.com

I recommend using an authentic Bosch igniter. I used the one in the video to save money, and it didn't work properly.
Thanks Max,
Good info.

Reinstalling the door is pretty easy. Just make sure your door hinges are closer to the oven
did you have to take the back panel off to make the connection?
I followed this video step by step and for some reason my range/oven cannot turn on now. Please help anyone.
