Unnu siddung n mek di white man tell unnu stories suh weh unnu expect. Kmt!
Did you stand when they were telling you the story? Just asking for my fellow Jamaicans
@@EliteJamaica My Ancestors didn’t. But best believe I would if I had the chance. Can’t have the mindset like most Jamaican’s who accept anyone to invade. Mi know weh mi seh would fly ova nuff heads though.
A TRUE they should restore this historic building what a shame on the government
This is a horror story
@@patrickblair2536And that is only the beginning. It was atrocious, it was so bad.....I literally had to stop watching for quite a while.......
A
SO much history in Jamaica that is left to decay and ROT AWAY. SHAME.
No Jamaican historical property should not be demolished.🙏
Your statement makes no sense. What you're saying is that it should be demolished. Is that what you mean to say?
That is the most inhumane jail cell! Thanks for sharing this history.. this is crazy!
Wow this is insanity. Our ancestors went through so much. Never forget all of what our ancestors went through.. I left Jamaica young and didn't learn anything...
Mighty God, what was an injustice. Can one imagine locked in this tomb for months. 😭😭😭.
But our people still worship their useless Jesus and SOCIOPATH God. Their God has always served their interest not ours, we are not the same
This vlog is an eye-opener. So much of our history remains locked in vaults.
God will keep protect of the things that we need to see
They will not teach this history in school or in museums, they don't want people to see the extent of their wickedness, as they continue. Most High Bless.👍🙏🔥
Same exact thing " African Americans " faced and still today. WICKEDNESS
A de fus mi a know and hear dis . That’s y we should canvass for Alex to get a contract from the education ministry to give history lessons to our children in schools.
No didn't even knew Paul bogul had his own jail cell I can't imagine how they suffocated him so sad .
This video brought tears to my eyes also. Our ancestors went through some of the most brutal treatment under the British. Too many of us try to pretend that they were good to us.
And we now pick up what those Satan's have done to us..
White people did this to us And Jamaicans still love and worship white people
Great work family, I have been telling ppl to stop live based on the white man history, be careful as well family, blessings and guidance
Blessings Family and thanks for watching
Them wicked nuh blurt naught. No, sir, I don't recall them telling us about the prison they built for Paul Bogle
Sick and tired of our government who do noodles to persevere our history and to make sure our children get taught and to be inspired by the fight our ancestors had to go through to make us be free to of the struggles they went through this is so heartbreaking to see how those monuments are being neglected please Alex make sure you highlight this to the max watching from London uk and nuh worry mi deya thanks for this important video
They invented a another type of slavery it appears.
Thanks, Alex, for this post. You made me cry because this is what our ancestors went through. The Government of Jamaica should be preserving these places instead of selling out the country to the slave masters. Alex, my parents are Jamaicans. I appreciate you. ❤
Thank you so much for watching, and I really appreciate your feedback
@EliteJamaica, why are the old churches in jamaica kept up and refurbished but not the other buildings, including courthouses?
@taharka3897 That's a long answer, please contact me
@@EliteJamaica 👍🏾
Not even our political representation is honest. They continue to rape our history, mental slavery thats what it is. Thanks for informing those who are interested in knowing.
Thank you for this educational video. I've spent my early years in St, Thomas, and had no idea about most of the information you have given. I agree with you, that every effort should have been made to document and preserve this history of St, Thomas, Paul Bogle and all those who fought for Freedom.
Wow amazing video.wondering where the rastaman at now.
I am an older Jamaican born the end of the forties to my recollection history as we know it was not taught , if it was taught it was very sketchy and as you are now enlightening us totally in accurate. The Morant Bay (massacre) rebellion was only spoken of in passing.
Here thanks brother lots of love us didn’t know of this thanks for showcasing this beautiful history of Jamaica 🇯🇲 this should be on world 🌎 news watching from New York 🇱🇷 born Jamaican 🇯🇲 god bless you many thanks for showing us a part of our history ❤❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏
Good work Alex! The Jamaica heritage trust should preserve these buildings as part of Jamaica history. Hope you are doing ok from that nail injury. Please invest in construction hard boots and helmet to keep you safe on these tours.
May be we Reggae Musicians and everyone involved in this Powerful Lucrative sector of the Music industry could put together the Funds to PURCHAES one of these Properties that overlooks the seacost in St Thomas and transform it into a Hotel Meseum entertainment complex that is self sustaining and caters to a National and International Audience. Is this feasible??? The Band "CIMARONS"
Shame on our governments over the years to have not secured theses historical buildings
All they do is stealing from the people’s purse and never securing anything from slavery All the other islands secured their buildings but not our stupid governments 😊
I agree and these entertainers are a joke they just get rich to show off on their people.
Make sure you take care of your foot dat was guk by dat nail
Way to go the Cimarons did many hits out of Jamaica. Morning Sun, big girls don’t cry. Talking blues and many many more
Preserving historical buildings is indeed a valuable way to honour a nation’s heritage and educate future generations. In Jamaica, there are efforts to protect and maintain historical sites, particularly those associated with national heroes like Paul Bogle. These sites are significant not only for their historical value but also for their potential to attract tourists interested in Jamaica’s rich history.
That's our heritage and must be preserved for future generations. We must not forget nor reject our past. The government should step up and invest in securing our history and heritage. Thank you for a very informative and helpful video.
Thank you for watching
@@EliteJamaica i hope you went and get a tetanus shot when that nail stuck you. Nail has rust and you can get lock jaw from it. Please go and get a tatinus shot anyway because you are going into these places. Please wear Timberland shoes in those places. The bottom protects your feet.
@@eileenwatt8283 I agree
The Jamaican political class allows all this history to ROT AWAY. They need to preserve these artifacts and historical sites. What a BIG SHAME. All they care about is eating a food.
They are part of the boulé like garvey and sellasie all covert missions played out on Jamaicans from decades ago and still the same
Heritage sites should be protected
Thanks Alex for informing me about all these historical building in Jamaica. I’m a Jamaican and didn’t know anything about such history. Thank u again for educating me about this historical lesson
I glad for this history lesson, because I wanted to do a historical tour of the Morant Bay Rebellion and track to Spanish Town.
Reggae music said o what a wicked situations right yah now I starved for revelation thanks 👏
Good day Alex and others on this platform ..It is good to preserve heritage sites .. They can be used for students to know a lot about their history
Great job my brother honestly respect 🙏 greatness out there 💯
You’re highlighting things that should have never been allowed to fall into such disarray and dilapidation. There should be directions to these sites along roads and highways. The sites should be maintained and accessible to all with the history documented on plaques with links to QR codes for further study. I’ve been watching the channel for a few years now, you should be getting grants from the government for your research and documentation. Bless up.
Awesome work you are doing brother. Jamaican has so rich of history that many of us are unaware.
Love, Honor and Respect to Paul Bogle and all the Black Freedom Fighters who fought for our freedom so we can be here today. Also, the jail cell is terrible and nobody should live in that. Yes, even the vault looks bigger than the jail cell. However, love you and that you so much for bring this great documentary of Jamaican Past and Black History.
Just came across your channel and I subscribed. Thanks sharing this important part of our history.I was never taught this history while attending school as kid or teenager growing in Jamaica.🙏🏾🙏🏾
The secretary manager for the Parish Council office other parts of the council was housed on the ground floor to the back. The entrance to that office faced east and the accounts department was under courts office. Hence, the courts department didn't occupy the entire building.
This could be a tourist attraction. Come on Jamaica Govt.
It's ashamed how our historical buildings abd sites are treated. Even the building that housed the the first tax office should've been preserved. This building was adjacent to the old court house.
Some are not restorrable. There are several that are restored but Jamaicans are not into their history .
I loving this video
Keep on revealing.
All these historical buildings should be preserved This is the first Iam seeing any such building You are doing a great job
Not even for dogs, wow! Wickedness.
This should be preserved as a historic site for St. Thomas.
U r a good man just keep up the good work god bless
Alex, thank you for your investigative reporting. Your content is an eye-opener. Continue the good work! Blessings.
96 degrees....in the shade...real hot, in the sahde....entertainment for you ...martyrdom for me. Is anyone else here feeling this pain of the past becasue it is present today in a ll the destruction they have left in their quest, evil quest to control the worlds resources. Look at that cell..... eeeh? Thank you guys. Link up here most def. big up
Alex you should submit your findings to the institute of Jamaica
They already know these area. The person who restores old building there is from St. Thomas.
Many buildings are restored but these dont have solid structures to restore them.
Aren’t those places historical and to be preserved as a treasure if it’s connected to Jamaica’s national heroes why it’s looking like that!! We should protect it like other protected landscape for history and maybe for authentic movie making
Good work Alex. Big up to you and your team ❤❤😊
Thank you for this message. These premises need to preserve heritage
I started learning the truth behind jamaica's history by reading the journals of the plantation owners & their families that would visit. Also, doctors and authors that visited in the colonial years. You learn so much.
You can't count on school to teach you the true history of any country, you have to look for it yourself.
Jamaica's planter class were guilty of a lot, but there was also a mixed- black upper class that was complicit also.
Thank you for bringing these important stories to our attention.
Alex thank you so much for imparting your knowledge with us it would have seems like our history is slowly slipping away I did an collage exam today and it was your channel that help me to study. I went at a college library and there was nothing on our history the only one one small book the a lecture wrote and it didnt had mutch its sad I could even barrow the book because it was on reserve. Marcus Garvy said that without knowledge, our people suffer. Why has our history been eliminated and what is happening in our country? Thanks to you for keeping it alive and sharing the things we never or hardly hear about. You have done well. You have placed St Thomas on the map. During Covid me and my kids and I watched you every time u uploaded. I would watch until I fell asleep and couldn't wait for u to upload. Keep up the good job. Well done.
Thanks for sharing and these sites should be preserved
THIS IS like the door of no returned .
You sir are a credit to the nation, for this one video

Thank you so much .
Never seen it. Most of what we learn we have to search for
aAllthese historical heritage should be preserved by the government in Ghana they preserve the ship as s historian heritage that carry our ancestors to the west indes thanks elite for learning us more history
Watching
Good afternoon Alex just becareful, 😮
Thank God for social media
Big up mi bredda for this video yaa. for lack of knowledge the people perish
We must preserve by any means necessary OR ELSE THIS WILL HAPPEN AGAIN JAH BLISS YOU MY DEAR BROTHER
Wow, noticed most of the Jamaican historical buildings have been rotted away and the Jamaican government selling out Jamaica to overseas investors. As for the Rastaman, his lawyer daughter and daughter in JDF should find somewhere for him to live. That place is not safe for even wild animals. Great information!!
Jamaica need to restore all the historical buildings
Great video as usual. This should have been restored and not allowed to fall into ruins so we the decendants can see what our ancestors had to go through with the colonizers. “If you do not know where you come from you will not know where you’re going.” The government should restore these heritage for the people and even add it as heritage tourism. SMH
This building should have been kept clean and tidy for visitors and locals alike, but typical Jamaica they don't preserve history such a shame😢😢
Great video bro, Im happy you took on the research.
Yea bro, thanks for watching, more to come.
No brother we never herd of this information in school
@@EliteJamaica I have lots more information to send you. I have been advocating the development of St. Thomas since 2015.. and things and happening.. and lots more to come. The stone the builder refuse will be the head corner stone” "St .Thomas Rising"
@@EliteJamaica Get a book called Jewish Pirates of the Caribbean by Edward Kritzler
Love your channel time here...no never learn this in school
Hope you are OK, bro be careful 🙏🏾
Is there a historical /heritage society anywhere in Jamaica ? The University of the West Indies teacher's colleges, Member of Parliament for St Thomas and the citizens both locally and overseas should be interested in this topic.
Many people like myself have never seen or heard about these places in St.Thomas even after living there for many years. Some of these places could be restored and put in use today to keep them. In foreign lands the laws are structured to protect their history and they are used to earn enough for the upkeep. These are the things that some of us travel overseas and pay to see other people's stories while ours is ignored.
A huge shame on the Jamaican Government! If Paul Bogle had been a white man, those buildings would have been perfectly preserved and kept as shrines!
Brother continue doing this work, what persons don't understand is that the history in school is from the white man's view
We are learning that true freedom, liberating our people, comes at a price - often our lives.

My father is a maroon from Moore town, I was born in Moore Town, my father told me that is 3 black Men dress up in woman clothes waited for him to pass by,they offer him the cane and as soon as he begin eating the cane they captured him and hand him over to the white men.
I am surprised that the complex was not secured by the government and turned into a money making tourist attraction
Alex keep up the good work you're doing real good work because I'm learning some things from you about Jamaican History my parents are Jamaican I'm from England but I've been living here over 20 years I just like to say about the monument World War 1 was 1914 to 1918 World War II was from 1939 to 19 45 you're the researcher so I'm sure you will research what I'm saying but I just like to say keep up the good work what you're doing people are learning a lot from what you do as well as I am.
lots of history - ta
Why is this placed not protected?😢...so much questions to ask here
no me still a go school and me not learning this in history
I worked that temp for a short while after leaving high school.
