Goldikova will always be remembered for the being the best mare ever, she did it on 3 turfs (usa/eng/fra). Now get her sorted with Frankel. ;)

To be such a tiny, little race-mare. Goldikova's turn of foot is just incredible. When Peslier ask her to go, it's almost like she's got a rocket strapped on her back. I'll admit that I've bet against Goldikova in the 2009 and 2010 Breeders Cup Mile, Not because I didn't think she couldn't win the race. But because her odd's were so short. But now that she's coming back in 2011 for a fourth crack, I'm certainly going to bet for her to win the race this time.

Nice tribute. Would be great if the Wertheimer's keep her going for one more season to try for 4, but she has nothing left to prove. Maybe now, and injury free, would be right.

@dessiesdoneit the reason why zenyatta is getting more views is she is from america and goldikova isnt. people really havent heard much of her when she is not in the states but i do believe that goldikova is up there with the best of the best when it comes to turf

They're both great race Mares but Zenyatta was a dirt specialist and she was the classic distance specialist goldikova won on dirt but her main surface was grass and going a mile not a mile and a quarter

@dessiesdoneit i have heard of her and thats not it there are alot of people who are not interested in horse raceing. i think she is a wonderful horse and people in the united states don't look into other countries for horses. and its not the united states of ignorance some of them just dont understand. like my self i just started to look into horses out side the us just a few years ago so dont say that
