I love these videos Shawn. I rarely see these books at bookstores or maybe I'm not looking in the right place. I have a list going of SF reference books that I'm looking for and most all of them have come from you. Thanks.
I do have that first Encyclopedia of Science Fiction shown - I read it at the library, and simply HAD to buy my own copy of it. Also in my admittedly small encyclopedia collection is the one edited by Peter Nichols (mine is the paperback version with a Chris Foss cover) - I like the quote by Isaac Asimov: "It will become the Bible for all science fiction fans." It certainly proved to be my go-to reference book; as well as its unwieldy hardcover second edition, and Fantasy edition. And while it may not be an encyclopedia per se, "Vultures of the Void" by Philip Harbottle (Cosmos Books) goes into fascinating detail about British science fiction, both before and after the notorious postwar "mushroom" decade - complete with cover art galleries proceeding each chapter.
Great video, Shaun. I have several of those books myself including the Science-Fiction Encyclopedia.
What a wonderful collection!

Brilliant as always. I have the Clute SF, but still need his Fantasy one.
