Really awesome trip and video as always Sue. Love your passion for the strays and I appreciate the heads up on the surf. I will need to add a day for that. Thanks for sharing about this beautiful UNESCO SIte, Essaouira is the very first stop on our drive around the World in a solar equipt plug-in hybrid. As park rangers and anthropologists, we appreciate when people share culture, history, and nature on social media. I hope you enjoy your adventures and thank you for supporting our channel. - Turtle

For hair and shave we only pay like 50 dh.. it could reach 100 at some barbers like in touristic areas.

Not the first or even last time it happened but I was literally at my boil over point with this one. Everyone tells you to just stand firm and threaten to call the police, but this guy just wouldn’t back down until it got nasty.

I'm feeling so sorry for you guys.. But yes bad people exist.. Next time just call the police and they will help you immediately.. Just a few weeks ago i heard that a taxi driver in Marrakech tried to charge a tourist 300dh for just a 30min drive.. The tourist called the police.. he paid nothing and they took the driving license from the taxi driver. Once you agreed on a price.. he or she could not change it

I prefer those parking and car's guards work in guarding rather than stealing hurt and injuring people. This is temporary until the industries in Morocco take off as they should. On the contrary, you should be happy about it

Parking guards no problem. Except one time we were giving a parking guard a few US dollars everyday to watch our car because we stayed in the same parking for 5 days and on the last day when we were leaving he asked for double because the size of our van was large. We gave such a generous tip, and in the end he takes our kindness for weakness. When you try to take advantage of tourist it creates a bad reputation for the country and future visitors. I love morocco but like every country there are some bad apples there. I’m just not afraid to be 100% real and honest in these videos. Regardless, it is an incredible country and the good people outweigh the bad people.

Yes i'see, listen to me. Me too i hate sellers and fake beggars specialy begars becaus they earn more than the director of a bank in Morocco. I' have one advice for you :learn to tell no a big no. It's the solution or tell them i call the police and live your life max as you can lool 🙂😊

If you wish to hand out money to the poor, you could give 2 dirhams (20 cents). It won’t break your bank and you are helping those truly who need it… Thanks for your generosity.

We gave a lot more than 2 dirhams to those in need!

You have to understand that the only thing that is not available in Morocco in abundance is money, and if illiteracy combines with fear of poverty, it gives love of money. It is in the genes of some regions, because Morocco was exposed to drought every ten years. Especially in the last 1000 years before dams were built. so understood ? 😉 lool

one word of advice... don't do anything to get the police involved cause some cops are crooked too.... especially in poorer countries! so just pay the bill 200DH is not the end of the world. it sucks but that's how the tourist traps are and you are dealing with liars and crooks sometimes and mix that with a bad cop and now you are looking at possible more costs and trouble and you are not in your country!!! cheers
