The explanation is very clear. As the saying goes "with out data you are someone with an opinion" This has made me make a decision based on facts. Thx alot.
Very resourcefully information Darwin. My questions are; 1. is it cheaper to make your own hollow blocks before construction or it's better to buy? 2. How many pieces of blocks can 1 bag of cement produce (standard) if I am to make own blocks rather than buying? Awaiting your feedback. Thank you.
Thank you very much for that information and pliz bring us more and also tell us about the cost of paint for a 5 bedroom house and how much paint is required
Thumbs up Mr.Darwin. I have the all the episodes of 3 bedroom house and i couldnt be more informed, this video makes more sense, i love all these videos
Thx mr. Darwin... am getting edified on my research as i plan to put up my family house so soon. And really i hv realised alot from ur videos. Thx bro.
I'm glad that i finally came across such a Vlog. It will definitely help me making a right decisions. Thank you for this. If you know where to buy 9*9 blocks between lukaya and Masaka pleace share it with me. Best regards.
Hi Darwin, love your content. Please keep it up and do also cover I-section construction cost benefits vs the conventional approach. Love your flow and love your vibe. Big up Bro, God bless!
Hi Darwin, i came across your channel very informative thanks very much. Have you done comparison on interlocking bricks and Hollow bricks please. Keep up the job Thanks.
Good job. Labour rates per sm are quite high though. That fine tuned, would even illustrate the point better. Wish you could also team up with an engineer to illustrate strength and other factors comparison.
Thanks Darwin for the information. Its very useful. Please make a video on interlocking bricks. They are actually cheaper than both clay and hollow blocks plus you dont need mortar.
I think I love your work, thanks for all the efforts!! You have demystified many myths for me this earned a subscriber. Can you do bio digesters vs the traditional ones🙏🏾
This guy is a Professor Engineer, this is so elaborate and articulate. Thanks, me i have no question for i have understood everything. Let me subscribe yiven🤩
just watched this video and also for steel beam, wondering are hollow blocks better if you constructing with steel beam technology. How can check for the build integrity of a hollow block while buying because as you know Uganda's love short cuts esp now that cement is so expensive
Thank you, Darwin, for the useful information. Well, my question is: Which type of bricks do you recommend in terms of durability, clay bricks or hollow blocks?
Tough question.... If both a well made and of good quality and protected from extreme moisture conditions...they're both very durable even to more than 100Years.....as compared to Mud bricks.
@@mukizadarwin, thank you for your timely reply. How do I protect protect them from extreme moisture conditions and how do distinguish good from bad quality? Thanks!
Thanks you very much ssebo. Can u provide ur number pliz. Some ppl ask me for good engineers in Uganda. The fact that u are able to provide this information free means ur do care about ur client's pockets. I will pass on ur number to ppl in UK looking for ppl like you .most engineers when asked about such information, they ask for huge amounts first
The best analysis ever

Just watched this in October 2023 and information is still very relevant as I plan my building project. Thank you!
You're welcome

Clay bricks are generally strong. The strength of Hollow blocks varies depending on the mix ratios of Cement, sand and stone-dust used....

Thank u sir
That's why the rich excel in real estate because most of the construction is done in hollow bricks
