    Very resourcefully information Darwin. My questions are; 1. is it cheaper to make your own hollow blocks before construction or it's better to buy? 2. How many pieces of blocks can 1 bag of cement produce (standard) if I am to make own blocks rather than buying? Awaiting your feedback. Thank you.

    Good job. Labour rates per sm are quite high though. That fine tuned, would even illustrate the point better. Wish you could also team up with an engineer to illustrate strength and other factors comparison.

    Thanks Darwin for the information. Its very useful. Please make a video on interlocking bricks. They are actually cheaper than both clay and hollow blocks plus you dont need mortar.

    just watched this video and also for steel beam, wondering are hollow blocks better if you constructing with steel beam technology. How can check for the build integrity of a hollow block while buying because as you know Uganda's love short cuts esp now that cement is so expensive

      Tough question....
      If both a well made and of good quality and protected from extreme moisture conditions...they're both very durable even to more than 100Years.....as compared to Mud bricks.

      Clay bricks are generally strong. The strength of Hollow blocks varies depending on the mix ratios of Cement, sand and stone-dust used....
