I told my younger sister idk why exactly but you’d absolutely love Briston Maroney. This song played in the car, broke both are hearts, and was the moment she knew; I was right. Has our whole hearts ❤️
my biggest flex is that he liked my story 💞😭 Briston you're literally one of my favorite artists, and you're so amazing and talented. I love you so much!
Bro you help me through so many times with your music. Keep doing what you do man cause a song like this is the only thing I need sometimes. Lets all be free together my man!
[Verse 1] Did you pass out that night When the band drove you home? Heard I missed the stage dive I was crying alone And I thought I'd lose it When you all hit Broadway Even good friends fuck up Sometimes you learn the hard way [Pre-Chorus] Discoveries of these twenty-somethings There ain't been nothin' ain't been said before There is that voice in the back of my head Saying, "If you don't like it, there's the door" I can't take it anymore [Chorus] If I go, would I be Someone's anything? Somehow everything? Could I settle for less? I feel blessed, I feel cursed That everything hurts But at least I'm free To get it off of my chest [Verse 2] Remember that drive When the AC went out? Couldn't hear the music Screaming and sweating it out And summer won't end If we don't let it But I need you here to kill this fear That when the sunburn fades we'll all forget this [Pre-Chorus] Discoveries of these twenty-somethings You never quite forget the first letdown There is that voice in the back of my head Saying, "Hold on to those who stick around" And you'll make it out [Chorus] If I go, would I be Someone's anything? Somehow everything? Could I settle for less? I feel blessed, I feel cursed That everything hurts But at least I'm free To get it off of my chest [Outro] Does it get better than this? It will or it won't And we'll just get used to it Does it get better than this? It will or it won't And we'll just get used to it Does it get better than this? It will or it won't And we'll just get used to it
i was at my grandparents house the other day and my grandma has this old record player with all her vinyls she would play when my mom was a kid. she was showing me her collection (which consisted mostly of 70’s/80’s rock records) and halfway through the stack she pulls out Ultrapure and is like, (in grandma voice) “Oh yes, this is one of my favorite albums! It’s a little newer, though.” and i was in pure shock. at that moment she gained 100 street cred points. it BLEW MY MIND that she even knows who briston is. moral of the story my grandma is cooler than your grandma
I was hopeful that he would carry on with the ethereal sound of his previous works. But sadly, this is very dry studio sounding of everything that has come before. Glimmers of experimentation. But nothing like his previous works. This is produced to be a hit record. Each to their own though. Best of luck!

My favorite song of yours ♥ I hope you'll play it in 3 days when I come to Leeds :)
[Verse 1]
Did you pass out that night
When the band drove you home?
Heard I missed the stage dive
I was crying alone
And I thought I'd lose it
When you all hit Broadway
Even good friends fuck up
Sometimes you learn the hard way
[Pre-Chorus]
Discoveries of these twenty-somethings
There ain't been nothin' ain't been said before
There is that voice in the back of my head
Saying, "If you don't like it, there's the door"
I can't take it anymore
[Chorus]
If I go, would I be
Someone's anything?
Somehow everything?
Could I settle for less?
I feel blessed, I feel cursed
That everything hurts
But at least I'm free
To get it off of my chest
[Verse 2]
Remember that drive
When the AC went out?
Couldn't hear the music
Screaming and sweating it out
And summer won't end
If we don't let it
But I need you here to kill this fear
That when the sunburn fades we'll all forget this
[Pre-Chorus]
Discoveries of these twenty-somethings
You never quite forget the first letdown
There is that voice in the back of my head
Saying, "Hold on to those who stick around"
And you'll make it out
[Chorus]
If I go, would I be
Someone's anything?
Somehow everything?
Could I settle for less?
I feel blessed, I feel cursed
That everything hurts
But at least I'm free
To get it off of my chest
[Outro]
Does it get better than this?
It will or it won't
And we'll just get used to it
Does it get better than this?
It will or it won't
And we'll just get used to it
Does it get better than this?
It will or it won't
And we'll just get used to it
