    Frozen Fields is now natively built into Anki’s newest version and appears as a pin at the top right hand corner of each box! Functions exactly the same!
    Also at 6:16, I talk about managing screenshot files and putting them in a folder. You dont even have to do this!! In order to save more time, screenshot with the keyboard "command crtl+shift+cmd+4" on Mac. Then we you go back to the anki card, paste the pic with "cmd+V" My mistake!!

      I am not seeing a pin in the top right hand corner. I am using a PC, does it matter?

    Dear Mr. Dr. Stephen,
    I have a question for you.
    Do you know how to do in Inki, To always hide the back cards and always show the fronts cards for review?
    I've seen most of your TH-cam Videos but I didn't see any to explain at the top of my question.
    Thank you for your support

    • @stephenraydentist
      @stephenraydentist  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the question! I'm not entirely sure what you're asking! Are you saying how to take the cards at the end of a deck and put them up front for studying or are you saying flip the sides of the cards so that the reverse sides of the cards show up first while you're studying?

      Thank you so much for your response 😇😇😇😇
      When I study or review all my cards I usually use the front and back cards which fill in all the cards with questions and answers and I like to show the front cards at all times because I use the questions on the front cards and the answers on the back cards.
      This is a test for myself to make sure I get the correct answers to all my questions.
      That is, text you here 😇😇😇😇

    Whats the benefit of making one large exam deck with tags instead of sub-decks for each lecture/topic?

    • @AI-PhotographyGeek
      @AI-PhotographyGeek 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Nicolas, there is one advantage. For any question, you can assign two or more tags, for example, "chapter-1" and "chapter-10." So any topic is common for both the chapters; you can refer to it during your review. However, I'm not sure that this method is helpful in your study.

    • @Lking123
      @Lking123 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Let's say a topic in something such as Clinical Chemistry is Non-protien Nitrogens, which includes Urea, Uric acid, Ammonia and Creatintine. All of these have diseases, and you could theoretically make a sub-deck of all the diseases assocaited. However, when you click custom study, you would only study those diseases for the specific Non-protien Nitrogens listed above. Yet, when you make a tag, and click which ones you want to focus on, Anki allows you to obtain a more comprehensive review, instead of one-by-one individual subdecks.

    Alternatively, you can hit Command-Control-Shift-3 and your screen shots are just saved to your clipboard.
    After that you can paste anywhere. When you paste in Anki, it will save it in the anki image folder vs a regular screen sot being saved to your desktop (or wherever you have them set to save).
    Thanks for the video.

    Amazing video! I am a 3th year dental student myself and tried Anki but through the year i can just study using Anki but what do you do when you are 1 week before your exam to review all your cards made through the year because the spaced repition sheme I don’t know how i can still review all my cards.

    • @stephenraydentist
      @stephenraydentist  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah thanks for the question!! So it really just depends on the type of exam. Most of my exams cover about a month of material so I can spend that month making cards and reviewing them. I don’t ever really look at cards from more than a month back even though technically I probably should. It just depends on how much time you have before each exam but of course Anki can help cram too!

    Question: Is there anyway I can change the amount of time that Anki waits to show me a flashcard.
    For example: After studying a flash card I mark it as "easy". In that case Anki will ask me it again in 4 days!
    How can I switch those 4 days to for example 2 hours.

    • @stephenraydentist
      @stephenraydentist  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes there is!! Go to the options in the deck you are working on. The options are found on the right of the deck in your deck list next to the number of cards due! Then on that first page within options, you'll see "steps (in minutes)" the first number is how many minutes anki will wait to show you a card that you just got wrong. Add a space after that number and that second number is how many minutes it will take anki to show you a card you get right! My current setup is 10 minutes for a wrong card and 1440 minutes (1 day) for a correct card! So my "steps (in minutes)" simply reads 10 1440

    What is the benefit of saving screenshots to a folder as opposed to directly onto the clipboard?

    • @stephenraydentist
      @stephenraydentist  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The cool thing about making these videos is that I often end up learning a ton myself!! 😂😂 I didnt even realize that you could just save to clipboard and save time that way so that is something I will definitely be doing now. I still have a need to save screenshots on my computer because I take a ton of them for my video creation but as far as anki is concerned, the clipboard is definitely the best option! I'm pumped I now know that!

      @@stephenraydentist hi stephen i am studying maths and say there are 3 chapters :algebra,trigonometry and compound interest.and say there are 5 types of questions each from those 3 chapters which i want to practise every day.So what i do is i make decks for the chapters and under those chapter decks i make 5 decks each for those chapters and in the type decks i put all the cards of the particular type .Now i have tpe1,2,3,4,5 decks for all the 3 chapter decks .and i tag the cards in the type deck numerically so that i can use filter deck based on tag.on day 1 i filter using tag 1.then i will have a filtered deck which have 1 cards each from all the chapters from all the types .Hence in this way i can practice one question from all types every day.Thank you
