That's a great looking knife. I have a couple of knives inspired by the Navaja myself. If course the Espada and I have a Pinkerton/Byond edc Nighthorse. 👍
Small for a Navaja. The ones carried in the 1700's by people in Spain where much longer. Since peasants where not allowed to carry a sword. The Navaja, was first seen in the mid 1600's, and kept on through to the 1800's, if I'm not mistaken. Blade's got longer and the locking mechanism got stronger. Plus, when a Navaja was opened it made a ratcheting sound. So if you where on the wrong side of a Spanish Town, back in the 1700's, and you heard that ratcheting sound, well, you best bet was to RUN! I have the Cold Steel Espada XL. Lynn Thompson's version of a Navaja. Its okay, but the blade is to deep of belly, and not long enough :) Stay sharp.

Now this is made in a part of Spain that I'd like to visit.
