The first example is more a matter of battery type. Lithium iron phosphate batteries are fine if the temperature never goes below freezing.

I believe that most batteries in the USA are made by Johnson Controls.
I will soon need a battery. My research has convinced me to buy the least expensive one (that is designed for my car) from Walmart.
Supposedly, the more expensive batteries will likely not last any longer than the lower cost batteries. It seems to be a crap shoot, where any of their batteries, regardless of price, might last 18 months, or 60 months, or anything else. The more expensive batteries simply have a longer warranty period.
So two of the least expensive batteries will give you approximately the same combined warranty period of a more expensive battery, at less than ½ the price. And the least expensive battery might last as long as the more expensive battery.
Also, when you bring in a car battery to Walmart for a warranty replacement, they will first hook up your battery to a charger, and to fully charge it, to see if it will hold a charge. That can take hours. So that more expensive battery with the longer warranty will mean you having to deal with the above wait time to get a replacement.
Whereas, if you purchased the inexpensive battery, and it was out of warranty, you just purchase it, again. No waiting. And you still paid approximately the same as the higher cost battery.
You are in-and-out of Walmart with your new battery, whereas the person with the longer warranty is waiting around for hours, and hoping that their warranty gets honored.
So use Walmart's on-line battery tool, to match which batteries will fit your car, and purchase the least expensive one.
They all have similar cold cranking amps.
Lastly, check the manufacturing date on the batteries. Do not purchase anything over 3 months old (or you pick how old is satisfactory with you).
No matter how perfectly you care for your car's battery, it has a limited lifespan. That lifespan starts the day it was manufactured.
So if it was sitting on the shelf for months, then you will lose out on those months. If it sat on the shelf for 6 months, then it will need to be replaced 6 months sooner.
Walmart likely has a fast turnover, and so your new battery will probably be no more than a few weeks old. But check its manufacturing date.

    American Origins:
    • Founded in 1888 in the United States, Exide Technologies is one of the oldest battery manufacturers in the world.
    • The company started out manufacturing lead-acid batteries and later became a major player in the global battery industry.
    2. The Indian Connection:
    • A separate company called Exide Industries Limited operates in India, which was originally a licensing partner of Exide USA.
    • Exide Industries started in 1947 as a local manufacturer of lead-acid batteries and grew to be one of the largest battery manufacturers in India and the region.
    3. The Separation:
    • In the 1990s, Exide USA acquired its ownership rights to the Exide name in India.
    • Combined, Exide Industries in India operates completely independently of Exide Technologies USA, although they share the same name.

Only 3 Battery manufacturers in the US.
Johnson controls- over 50% of batteries in the US are made by them.
East Penn- is second and the other is not worth mentioning.
Lithium iron phosphate batteries do not have cranking amps and are for Marine/RV use only.

I run a fleet of trucks and heavy equipment and Centennial is worst brand I’ve ever run across. Hobbs is best but not sure if they’re still in business

We product batteries for many brands. All are same but the brand would pay less, Us products with defects.

I currently have a Bosch battery on my Volvo, and it's the second one of its clan. Neither have been particularly good. Self discharge rate is abysmal. Cold starting performance is atrocious. Lifespan has been about two years each - I've had better batteries from obscure brands. I had a Moura battery on my Ford Sierra, which lived twelve years. I doubt that the manufacturer would have expected it to last that long!
One thing I can say, is when you buy a new battery, get it from a place with a high turnover - That way, the stock doesn't sit around on a shelf for months before you get it. The fresher the battery when you buy it, the better it will perform, and the longer it should last.

That's a good question! While both the Noco GB40 and Genius 2D are great products, their cables are not interchangeable. Unfortunately, the GB40 has a built-in charging cable specific to its jump start functionality, while the Genius 2D comes with separate AC and DC cables for connecting to the wall outlet and battery terminals, respectively.
