TVR Chimaera CHASSIS RESTO: Episode 11 - Build Up and Start up!

A few further tweaks, mods, fixes and repairs as we reconnect the body up with the chassis. By the end of this episode, we aim to get Noisy started again, but will it go according to plan?

I have just finished watching all of your episodes on the TVR and they have been very informative, thanks for doing them. I recently picked up a 1995 Chimaera that is in need of a restoration, so I will be rewatching these again soon I expect. I wasn’t planning on doing a full chassis restoration but having watched you do yours you have inspired me to do the same! I have been wondering whether I could fabricate my own replacement outriggers to save a few hundred pounds.

I see you have discovered my nickname by all my car mates "While I'm here..." and suddenly a one hour job lasts days and many fixes take place on vaguely related items.
I see on the board in your shopping list you have "Granny joints". What sort does she prefer? Skunk?
"Lubrication is your friend" - I tittered.
"DOT4 not DOT5." hope not, as DOT5 is silicone based but stupidly DOT5.1 is compatible with DOT4 and DOT3
Again, just be careful of overdoing the sealant or it may end up in your oil pickup strainer.

Almost there ! cool that you found what was leaking onto the valley gasket. So whats the leak at the front ???
