Mate expert is brutal. It took me and a few mates months to complete the expert championship. We basically broke it down into taking some tracks each. Mine was Silverstone brands hatch and Snetterton. As a FYI, later in the championship you go back to Thruxton but it's pouring of rain. It's like racing on an ice rink. Something to look forward to 😂😂😂
Yea Thruxton in the rain was a nightmare. Like normal fast like long corner rights ended up like being fatal and the first right corner 😆 brands hatch i found hard not for the track but AI touches u, ur alnost spinning all over the place.

I've managed it back in the day. But you need the better car - Nissan. I always struggled at Thruxton which meant the first round was hard work.
Try a season with the "can't be fired" cheat on, perhaps? Would be interesting to see how you progress!
