you are a great teacher. it does not even bother me, as it usually does, that it's a video and i cannot ask any questions..because I don't have to because you explain everything very thoroughly. it helps a lot that you repeat everything 2-3 times in a row. thank you!

Awesome video! I have one Gripe. Zero chance of herniation effecting the sciatic nerve below L5 S1 IVD/ L5 Nerve. super common cause of sciatica is it being compressed by a hypertonic piriformis or in a subset of people where it actually runs through the belly of piriformis. Women during pregnancy is a super common time for women to get sciatica also.

The sciatic nerve divides into anterior and posterior, the anterior division will have the tibial nerve ?? Why my doctor said the revers ! Anterior division will be the common fibular n and posterior the tibial nerve.

  • @kjmd

What do you mean by anterior and posterior division? Do you mean the ventral and dorsal rami of those respective nerve roots? From what I've read on Wikipedia and TeachMeAnatomy, the lumbar and sacral plexuses don't receive any contribution from the dorsal/posterior rami?
