Back in the day, we had an old hockey arena that before being torn down, was utilized as an indoor flea market. You were rewarded for providing some great memories with the deals you got on the comics you brought home. Enjoy them.
Very nice pick ups. This week I am in St. Louis Missouri visiting my daughter and grandchildren and decided to look up antique malls near me and discovered in amazing antique mall that had everything you would ever want to find. I was lucky to find cards comics, and other collectibles. The best best pick up I gotwas a CGC 9.8 Thor, #1 with the first appearance of Jane Foster as Thor for $50. I also got a 1948 Bowman Robin Roberts rookie card for $27. It was called the St. Louis antique mall, and the best thing was that this was only the second antique mall I had ever been to. if not for your channel, I would never have thought to go to an antique mall. Thank you so much for the idea.
Awesome find, I totally agree with you that Gene Colan did amazing work on Daredevil and stilt man is the best. One of my favorite comics I own is Daredevil 8
Fantastic pick ups! The Heroic Comics line of books has some amazing art and stories. The painted covers, etc. are often examples of now famous artists and writers perfect pick up at that price...you should never ignore when the "Comic Gods" drop a book in your lap! 😁
8:00. Shows books. I've never seen any of those "New Heroic comics" ever and saw another copy, different cover, the other night sold on whatnot and it also was in great condition. People were asking if it was a real golden age comic because the cover art looked very modern compared to 75 years ago just like the one you have here.
Good evening Michael A great hunting video, looks like a great place to loose yourself. I still can't believe that Dell and Gold Key are always in the dollar bins in the US, right here in the land downunder they are greatly loved and approach the Holy Grail status. Anyway great buying. Keeo up the great work. Cheers Al The Goldkeyfourcolorkidownunda
I agree that’s another candidate and I forgot to mention it in the video. I like ST 49 and 50 more because you have more characters including most notably Constantine who is a JLD staple in my mind.
That heroic comic looked very interesting. We tend to get into the fantastic fiction of our comic book characters and sometimes we can forget that there are real life heroes that have done remarkable things , selfless acts of courage for their fellow man.
I bought the same swamp thing today for $8 in NM-. I was very happy with the price and condition. Yes, it is still considered the 1st app of JL Dark team by many if not the majority.
Dang I miss Swap Meets ! Always Love that Daredevil and that Swamp Thing cover ! PS Very cool to find out theres a n early Toth story in that Heroic....I'll keep my eyes peeled for it in the future !
I have that DareDevil comic. I sent mine off to get graded, it came back a 9.2 but I didn't have it pressed and thinking it's a 9.6 or 9.8 easy. Might break it open and have it pressed to resub. It's a nice cover.
@@lunchmoneycomics My friend owned a comic book shop for years and when he retired he sold me alot of his personal collection. I have quite a few of the same ones you have on your wall.
The ol’ “ jack up the prices to twice what they should be then stick 50% off” trick!!!!😂😂😂😂 these vendors know how to play the game. Glad you had fun, but you’re paying full blown retail still!!!
Jason buddy, I truly appreciate you watching my videos and always commenting, but I think you worry too much about the printed prices. Yeah we all know the pricing tricks but at the end of the day all that matters is what you pay for them in the end. Trust me I know exactly what all these comics are really worth and I paid what I was comfortable with to not only add to my collection but also the cost to make a video for all of you. I had a fun time and hopefully people enjoy watching the video, so I’m happy paying retail! Thanks as usual for watching!
Hey Mike, that's one cool flea market. My favorite pick is the swamp thing. Just the overall detail of the cover and of course the first "justice league dark appearance". Cool finds all under 100. I got two comics yesterday Amazing Spider-man #344 and Amazing Spider-man #654.1. Still on the look out for Uncanny X-men #130. Hopefully today I might be able to find that box in my travels. Keep on making great videos and keep up the good hunt.
Amazing finds.. super jealous of that swamp thing 49! My jaw dropped when I saw the price , been looking to add that to my collection for a while now (big JL Dark fan myself) however the prices of this book in Canada and online are just more than I want to spend.. nicely done lol
Hi Mike, I have my original copy of Daredevil 27, bought when I was a boy, and yes not a key but one of my all time favourites. Spider-Man, Stilt-man and that cover, what’s not to like? Undervalued in my opinion, but a great pickup for you😊
Mike, great to see you do another Great Flea market video!! I was pretty impressed with the 1944 ten center, although at first thought you'd picked up a pulp! My favorite grab of yours was SWAMP THING # 49. Just neat! Not a big fan of mid-era DD but dug the cover. Have you come across # 20 with the mammoth at the Tar Pits? That one caught me, always loved the dino-covers!! Great vid!! Always fun and informative!!
I've been to Raynham flea market multiple times. The guy with the booth in the middle is awesome, always has a sale on books and if you buy i think 4 or 5 books he throws one in for free. Nice picks ups. I need to go back and spend more time at sensational comics. They have so many boxes on the floor that I need to go through. Lol. 👊🏼
Cool pickups Mike. I'm concentrating on Kirby FF 44-67 and I still need 48-50,52 and what do I end up doing? Picking up half of Kirby and Chic Stone run. Been looking at a VG tales of suspense 49 first X-Men crossover but eBay can be a little high. Have you tried hipcomic? It's an app for pretty much just comics. Was wondering if you had any luck with that one. No I am not affiliated with them💯 like I said cool pick ups I mean that golden age book is pretty sweet.
Mike - it's neat where you find comics. I would be interested in knowing how you keep track of what you own. Do you use a computer inventory program or just hand-written tracking?
I actually don’t track them. I used to use go collect but couldn’t keep it up to date. So if it’s a run or something I just keep a list on my phone, otherwise I just have a good memory for what I own
Great video. I've been to Raynham and sensational is definitely the best vendor for comics there. You go to the same places I do in pretty much every vid lol. I'm in Connecticut, where are you from?, just curious
Like they originated in the silver age? Any of the cosmic beings, Eternity, Libing Tribunal, Galactus etc, though if strictly superhero Silver surfer is up there. I’m sure there are some DC I’m not thinking about
Silver Age Dells at 50% off? Yes please! Dell was king of the movie and tv show adaptation for decades. Swamp Thing #49 is most definitely NOT the first appearance of JL Dark - the team is never called by that title, rather it's a gathering of supernatural characters because who else would you call on if you need to go to hell to rescue your love. Only dealers are pushing the notion that Swampy has assembled a JL Dark team in this issue because they want to justify their ultra-inflated prices. By their logic, Orpheus from ancient Greek mythology was the first JL Dark member because he too went to hell to bring back his love Eurydice. I could not pass up that issue of New Heroic Comics even at full price knowing that it has Toth art, let alone for half price.
Mike really? Wrinkling your nose at Dell. Gold Key and Westerns? You just don’t realize what you are missing. They may not be as popular as all the wall books you have but they are good. I hope some day you will appreciate them. PS. The really early Heroic comics have some great heroes like Hydro Man. They can be pricey but if you ever see them and they say Reglar Fellas on the front cover pick them up. Actually I am glad Tarzan westerns etc are not as popular. Keeps. The price down. So yeah keep wrinkling your nose when you say Gold key. 😊
Oh don’t get me wrong I wasn’t being dismissive of them, I just don’t collect them. There are actually lots of westerns I keep an eye out for, but this guy didn’t have anything worth picking up in that department.
Back in the day, we had an old hockey arena that before being torn down, was utilized as an indoor flea market. You were rewarded for providing some great memories with the deals you got on the comics you brought home. Enjoy them.
I love the yellow and red covers also.
Loving the Shirt Mike 👍

That’s a great story, I’m thrilled to have had a small part in it, thanks for sharing!
I would have grabbed that DD book too! That's a clean yellow cover, even with the writing on it!
Like the Daredevil shirt. Nice golden age book.
Awesome find, I totally agree with you that Gene Colan did amazing work on Daredevil and stilt man is the best. One of my favorite comics I own is Daredevil 8
Nice flea market finds! Loved hunting for the early JL Dark appearances!
fantastic DD comic Mike 👍
1947 with that condition is amazing!
Fantastic pick ups! The Heroic Comics line of books has some amazing art and stories. The painted covers, etc. are often examples of now famous artists and writers perfect pick up at that price...you should never ignore when the "Comic Gods" drop a book in your lap! 😁
Good pickup’s Mike. I see more people collecting Golden Age books now. Can’t blame them. Great cover art!
What a fun looking show! Always nice to tag along. Thanks!❤
Honest to gosh those are some good deals!
8:00. Shows books.

People were asking if it was a real golden age comic because the cover art looked very modern compared to 75 years ago just like the one you have here.
That 1947 New Heroic Comic was so clean looking! So fun sometimes just hunting and finding books you weren't looking for. Nice video Mike!
Good evening Michael

That heroic comic looks very nice., you should see if comic spa can take that spine roll out. Great video !!
swamp thing annual #2 - check it out. That is your cameo for JLD. Not sure why you think 49 is first. Very cool heroic comics.
I agree that’s another candidate and I forgot to mention it in the video. I like ST 49 and 50 more because you have more characters including most notably Constantine who is a JLD staple in my mind.
I know the older superman issues are not super valuable, but i love those covers. Nice Daredevil tee.
Agreed!
You have the best flea markets
Those are great comics
I really like the golden age comics
Golden Age Alex Toth! Super jealous.
Enjoyed the video...almost makes me want to take the road trip. Some day.
Would be all over Those Superman comics
That heroic comic looked very interesting. We tend to get into the fantastic fiction of our comic book characters and sometimes we can forget that there are real life heroes that have done remarkable things , selfless acts of courage for their fellow man.
Great books but this song has a killer New Order vibe going on.
The Swamp Thing and Daredevil books were definitely my favorites, hoping to get something similar myself very soon!
Very cool golden age book.
I bought the same swamp thing today for $8 in NM-. I was very happy with the price and condition.
Yes, it is still considered the 1st app of JL Dark team by many if not the majority.
Nice😮
I like the Daredevil the best. 😊 Thanks again for such great information and videos. 😁👍
That is a beautiful book considering it is from 1947. Love it!
There are several "1st appearances" of Justice League Dark which are mostly overpriced, if you can get them under $10 it's probably worth it.
Dang I miss Swap Meets ! Always Love that Daredevil and that Swamp Thing cover ! PS Very cool to find out theres a n early Toth story in that Heroic....I'll keep my eyes peeled for it in the future !

Wow, must look beautiful!

Yeah because he marks them twice what they should be to start!!😂😂 oldest trick in the book, but it still works!
That's some good lunch money, The comic gods are playing with me
This place looks exactly like a place we have here in So. California called “Frank and Son.” lol
Cool pickups Mike. I'm concentrating on Kirby FF 44-67 and I still need 48-50,52 and what do I end up doing? Picking up half of Kirby and Chic Stone run. Massachusetts, but I’m in CT a lot
What is the most powerful hero form the silver age I want to know all of your opinions
Like they originated in the silver age? Any of the cosmic beings, Eternity, Libing Tribunal, Galactus etc, though if strictly superhero Silver surfer is up there. I’m sure there are some DC I’m not thinking about
Where do you get the background music?
Just free music on iTunes
