Problem is we don’t have enough money to maintain it and repair and and most of all we can’t spend so much money on just a few helicopters which is so expensive to fly for an hour
I sure hope you guys got the Huey 2. That upgrade makes the original Huey a true heavyweight. I sometimes wonder how my old Hueys that I flew for 27 years ended up spraying thistle in New Zealand.....procurement processes are always suspect. Hope you got the upgraded version for your money! Great aircraft...

But the Duterte admin ruined the project by altering what was already finalized and putting the country's best interest at stake by allowing HHI the upper hand over the PN in the project.

You don't know how military purchase military equipment yes pnoy did but old uh 1 over new build helicopter but remember buying new helicopters takes years over buying second hand helicopters and also before pnoy left offices he purchased 24 bell 412 epr that are same as the uh1v of the us marines but because of the human rights violation of the durterte administration the purchase was cancelled and even the blackhawks were a multi year process from getting dod clearance from the us to funding the program
@@christiandalefrias8482 yes buying new equipment is much more better than buying second hand helicopters but there is a different between capability now or later remember the time of pnoy the helicopters of the afp were lacking spare parts now you have 2 choices ground all of the helicopters for years until6the new helicopters come to services remember for new equipment you need train pilots maintenance equipment also the personal that is needed to be train in new system or buy the same equipment as a buffer for the new equipment
