I don't mind the occasional story type video, with all the special effects and all that. But definitely, there is no argument that videos like this are top-notch. What i hate are videos that show nothing about the band or anything, like some of Slipknots' later videos. Not all but some of them. Or A Night In Texas' video for Flesh Kingdom. All it shows is the singer all dressed up in a costume and some special effects in the background, and that's it. Nothing else. Gotta show off your band members. They're the ones making the music.
Every decade, a new band emerges on this level. You can historically look at it. They are the chosen ones. I will happily continue to spend 100s of dollars on their merch. I love this band.

They fall in the 2020-2030 chosen ones with DT and several more. Filth is meh... just my unbiased opinion. I know CM ep was prior, but "Black Lotus" put them on the map.
