Absolutely brave of Deli to have come out with his problems, I wish him all the best, and hope this is the turning point in his life

I for one, have lambasted Dele Alli over the years for his wasted potential, and i know he wont see this but I am sorry that I did that and I hope everyone else who did the same is sorry. Football is not important enough to be that cruel to someone you dont know and we all need to learn to stop and think about what we say before we say it.
Mate, you weren't to know. Underneath every troubled character is a story. We're all blank slates from birth, usually there's a cause for the effect.

Just found out ail dele was sexually assulted when he was 6 so have a think every 1 who has a dig at him poor guy has had to carry that with him

It was nice to hear from an expert on TalkSPORT for once😅 Joking aside, the therapist spoke really well and it is clear that this is just the first step in a long road of recovery for Dele. I wish him all the best.

Giving football players highly addictive sleeping tablets is terrible. I was addicted to valium and they should never be given to young people so they can play better football . This is what is wrong with the beautiful game . They dont stand a chance poor boys 😪

All the thing said about Deli over the last few years I can tell you I never lost faith in him... Brilliant player a d can be again if He wants..
Everyday people suffer much worse. Yet on 100k a week and we gotta get emotional about it. Get real.
The fact Jordan and Co tearing strips off him in April should not be forgotten in all of this. Adding credence and lending weight to that "lazy" persona that was cultivated around him post- Mourhino's comments and how Dele had wasted his career in general. Now Talksport are tripping over themselves to be seen to be lauding "brave" Dele for speaking out. Bloody hypocrites and a key component of the toxic clickbait culture that exists in football.

they eluded too it, but the reality is professional sport and winning at all costs is a toxic environment that is extremely hard to be vulnerable in out of fear of being cast aside, building friendships and loyalty almost impossible, show weakness and you are removed quickly. he might find that he actually cant get happy playing football and being around that because people will now try and use this against him to get an edge... sounds dark but that is the reality.
I noticed the video where Rory Jennings slates Dele as being the problem was removed....good move TalkSport.

I so wanted to watch this then saw Alex Crook and couldn’t go through with it. Talksport, that’s how deeply some of us listeners feel.
I had to have a friend summarise the conversation for me.
Tell Dele his (all) addiction is in the gym lifting weights and getting stronger every second he is clean. And if he slips, it's back stronger than ever. One day at a time, young bro. Identify and Keep away from your triggers.
talksport have done nothing but had in in for this guy, ok so his career has not gone where he thought it would but the non stop calling him out etc was wrong . done for clicks . now you lot are trying to play the good guys
