Aaron Kyro being involved in Scientology is the absolute deal breaker for me wanting to have any involvement in watching their videos. That sealed the deal for me in terms of my understanding of what he is about and where his headspace is at. Anyone involved with Scientology is not a person you wanna involve yourself with imo. ESPECIALLY if theyre *actually really giving money time and energy to it. Aarons involvement with that outright cult in spite of all the evidence and scandalous shit they are involved with solidifies the fact that i cannot possibly see him as someone to be taken seriously. Hes about his money and thats that, Scientology is a scam, a cult, and something that once people are involved i lose respect for their ability to make good choices and decisions in their life. You gotta be blind, naive, ignorant among other things to possibly take Scientology seriously and want to participate on such a thing........... Hes got blinders on .

I’m in the exact same boat. Haven’t watched in years since I found out about the Scientology ties. Glad to find out that it wasn’t the entire crew. When I found out I honestly thought the entire setup was a Scientology psyop. Glad to find out that the skaters I actually liked from the channel didn’t actually have anything to do with Scientology.
Crazy how the og Braille team is what got me into skating, very grateful y’all lit that light under me again. Been skating for about 4 years now and I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon

Agree. I rarely listen to podcasts like this, but this one was interesting to me. Kinda nice to see him outside of braille setting. His channel can be hit or miss at times, but he seems to be real as fuck.

Man I really want to know the Carlos scenario. Dude seemed like such a chill person. Almost felt similar to how Nigel felt. He was getting destroyed daily and driving long distances just to film for Braille and I’m sure he wasn’t compensated very well either. I remember when Fetty got dropped and that super bummed me out, but that had a little more to it so that actually made sense. Same with the Lamont/Louis Mora situation definitely would like to hear more on that one day. Stoked to see you posting Lamont I’ve been watching since wayyyyy way back. Yeah I do want to maybe hear his side on that. It really isn't a good look after hearing what Nigel said. It could be money saved over time but who knows. It was a thing I did hate about my old workplace. I had a coworker in his 60s asking me if I had health benefits. He was worried because he was reaching the age of retirement and didn't have any. Man was working there since the company was small and here is the owner just not even bothering to take care of his people. Hell even my dad now after complaining about how stressful his job is as an IT manager there, and the guy tells him he will find solutions... Never does. I don't think Braille will be the same as that work place but it could end up if what I am hearing is true. People who originally give a shit and have a love for what they do just not finding meaning working at that company. When I left my old job, I realized I still love what I do, it's just doing it for that person was not meaningful at all when I was miserable there.
When I read Kyro was in that science fiction cult I knew most of that money was going to Xenu. Possibly the lamest fucking thing you could do not just as a skateboarder, but as a human being.

I agree with Nigel about braille being repetitive and not letting certain people on to do videos..they have potential to grow more..but it’s more directed to beginners so I get it.but I’m on Nigel’s side with that one

I don't watch podcasts much, but this was awesome. Nigel and Lamont, you are very down to earth, real dudes and I loved watching your skating. I'm about a year younger than Nigel and I want to thank you for your service. That sucks the VA is doing that to you. It's awesome though that you can still create something beautiful with skateboarding and still be real with what's going on around you. I like metal and skateboarding, so I've always like Thrasher and their vids, but I had a feeling they were like the popular kids in high school; or gatekeepers that decide who to watch and who's cool. Kickflips for me were the fastest trick i have learned. Usualy all other tricks took a month or so, later on alot less, but i landed my first flip the first day i started learning them.. still my fav trick.. always strugled with treflips tho.. never figured out how to do em easy

Braille kind of got me back into skateboarding. I never was a skater, but I went into Rollerblading, although I never got good at rollerblading.
But now I am trying out my skateboards again, because I have two of them still.

Chris is a pretty smart dude and has a degree in botany or biology and just took a job in his field of study.

its kinda sad, I love braille, at least I love what they have done for the skate industry. BUT they have such an opportunity to be EVEN BIGGER and do some REALLY awesome things and I really feel like they fr fumblin the bag rn. Nigel a real one, if he ran braille they could be bigger now than their 2015-2017 era

I have been enjoying braille more than ever recently... You try coming up with a new video EVERY single day. And that's only 1 of their channels.
@@7scrib that’s great, I’m glad you enjoy it. For those of us who have been watching for 10 years. It gets old. I think that’s their exact problem. They don’t need a video EVERY DAY. Make even like 2-3 a week, and spend more money and more time on the video ideas. It’s almost the same thing over and over now. It was great for a while but after basically repeating the same 5 video ideas everyday for years and years. It’s just old now. And you can tell the way the members have lost passion for it and are tired of it, and so are the viewers. Ever since they started uploading everyday, the viewership has drastically declined. They were at their PEAK when it was one or 2 videos a week. The numbers are right there to show them what works and they just ignore it.

The flags origins aren’t racist but much like the swatzika it’s been used by radical groups and used by groups of hate. It’s a complex topic but the flag had beeen removed from many many places of work including a fire station BEFORE he got black balled because of how people of color were treated in regards to the flag being around or present. Idk Cody at alll to speak on his personal character so take this information as you like.
