In the Japanese version of the game, R.O.B. and his karts are colored to match the Super Famicom (Japanese counterpart of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System) and he was instead named HVC-012 (his product identification number).

Most of the time whenever I play this, I would usually choose from any of the following 5 Characters.
1: Luigi
2: Princess Peach
3: Daisy
4: Waluigi
5: Dry Bones
Dry Bones + Tank = wins
Daisy will be unlocked after getting 1st place in the 50cc Special Cup, and Dry Bones will be unlocked too after getting 1st place in the 50cc Lightning Cup. Your player's racer name is Alyssa May. (You are P1!)
