Andre The Giant stepping through the ropes instead of over them. Georgia's ropes were higher than WWWF's. Gordon was no doubt great but Freddie the announcer was great and a voice unequaled.
I'm still waiting to see an episode when Tony Atlas wore a mask and was billed as "Black Atlas". He refers to the era in his book with some pretty funny stories but, after scouring the web, I have yet to find an episode with any footage.
If they used the top 20 wrestlers I saw here in that battle royal….phew. Golden, Andre, rich,Hansen, Abdullah, Brody, Superstar,Wrestling 2, BACKLUND, Flair, Ladd…damn
I enjoy watching these videos, but I think it would be awesome to put the complete episodes of each wrestling shows,N.W.A.,G.C.W.,MID-ATLANTIC,AND C.W.F.!
Oh man Dr X gave us kids a thrill in the early 70s. Having said THAT, now that I’ve FINALLY seen these Ga. episodes…yeh, I can’t get enough. It took me hours and hours of footage before I realized who’s under the mask.
You can start a lot of arguments with that Statement when you think of all of The Great Wrestlers who have worn masks over the last 70 Years alone. Mil Mascaras, Rey Mysterio, Jr. Tiger Mask, Jushin Thunder Liger, Black Tiger, Wild Peaguss are among those that i have liked.
@@DRC-of2ci dude they are not two different guys : it's the same guy that was his ring name during that time frame in the late seventies : sterling golden before he was called Hulk Hogan

Sterling Golden, "Hulk Hogan", could never sell. His wrestling was extremely limited. Even as Hulk Hogan, every match was the same, (ring cross, high foot then following it up with the granny leg drop)
hey, does anybody know if that 'sterling golden' guy ever amounted to anything? i dunno, he looks kinda familiar... great physique, good 'look', limited wrestling skills, but seems young, so he's probably just 'green'. not sure about that name, though, eeesh. seems more like a 'tank thompson', or a 'bull bradley' to me.
IM DIGGING EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PRO WRESTLING THAT WAS SO MUCH A PART OF MY CHILDHOOD. THE WWE SHOULD WATCH THIS AND HANG THERE HEADS FROM THE SHIT THEY PRODUCE. THE WWE AND AEW DONT PRODUCE ANYTHING TODAY 2020 AS GOOD AS THIS WRESTLING FROM 41 YEARS AGO. THEY COULD RERMASTER THESE MATCHES PUT THEM IN AN ARENA AND STILL OUT SELL THAT SHIT FROM THE WWE AND AEW.
You do know WWE owns the Video Library? WWE owns more Video Libraries for more Professional Wrestling Promotions than anyone else i know. WWE looks down their nose at this and calls it "Wrasslin".
NWA allowing WWF champion to come and wrestle on their show is something you'd NEVER see today between WWE and anyone..... AEW TNA, NWA Powerr ect. Certainly not the same vive in wrestling today...
This was when Vince McMahon Sr. still owned and ran the then called World Wide Wrestling Federation. While he'd split his company from the NWA at an earlier time, Sr. still respected the territories an even remained on the NWA governing board.
@@MrXiphoid1 Yeah, it's too bad things had to change so drastically, due to Vince Jr's greed. Sterling Golden what kind of name is that...
A chance to see Paul Jones, the promoter rather than Paul Jones the mediocre wrestler and 3rd rate manager at 34:00.

No. Sterling Golden was from Georgia. Hulk Hogan hailed from Venice Beach, California. Two completely different dudes.
