Something they fail to tell a customer. The idiots there offered me 10% off, What a joke, seeing they already had my $1,000 drone for parts. All I needed was 3 small parts, and they wanted $800 to send me another drone. What a rip off. I believe these idiots don't even repair drones, they swap them out. This is like Tesla in the early days, not selling parts. Total BS. If I had known this deceptive practice, I would have never purchased a Autel product.
Man I want Autel to succeed so badly every time they bring out something new it doesn’t seem to work. I wanted that nano to work so badly but it has just let me down. I actually got rid of it I’m glad I did but I still want it to succeed so DJI has serious competition. For the moment I will just stick to my air 2s. Well that was a serious pucker moment! I still think it's camera is probably one of the best out there. At least things like tracking are not dependent on hardware, and firmware updates can fix the issues.
The tracking feature has some real issues, I hope they can get it sorted out and issue a new firmware update in the near future. Active track is beloved feature of many DJI drones such as the Air 2S and Mavic 3, so for Autel to compete they will need to get this feature working trouble free. Great job on the testing the new tracking feature, and thanks for sharing my friend.

Have you noticed that your bottom vision position sensors are not activated i’ve seen other people‘s reviews of the active track and it looks like it works pretty good not sure what’s going on with your unit very strange have you tried to do a cold Imu calibration
This rollout has been a lil rough. First drone I got had a broken battery clip. Got it replaced... but new drone couldn't get Autel Care applied. They had to refund and buy new Autel Care to add NEW undamaged drone... but I think they applied my NEW Autel Care to OLD damaged drone!!! Been trying to contact them for weeks to get all this resolved, but getting through to agents is INCREDIBLY difficult. Still have not even been able to take my Lite+ for first flight for a month now because of all the hassle!! As an insurance claims adjustors associate, I was really hoping to use this as my new tool, but for now thank goodness I can still work with my DJI.
Nevermind. They said I won a DJI Mavic 3 for the monthly giveaway but had to pay for international shipping. I have screenshots. Flypath is outta California, number was outta IL. I'd have to send money for international shipping, and the link with picture had no subscribers. And all at 2am when Aldrin should be asleep. Guessing it was too good to be true... it was. They deleted all their comments as soon as I confronted them with these concerns. Please be careful of scammers all. They're everywhere!!!

For the drone fly to the ground problem, did you calibrate something(like magnetometer or IMU or others)? seems the problem is flight control and vision time is not consensus. Flight control still receive an old time(before calibration), and vision time is new. I guess they have a conflict hence.
@@FlytPath Don't make it wrong. I just want to figure it out why this nose dive happens. So if this is the case, for the current version(v1.2) if you calibrate these things, don't try dynamic tracking directly, or you may want to turn off and on again the robot. That is why the next following test are successful (because you must turn off the robot)
Wanting to try Waypoints with my Mavic Air 2. I tried going into Hyperlaps and then Waypoints...and I get a message that I need to be flying first. Is there a way to preset my flight plan in Waypoints before launching my drone? FYI - I'm new at this just got my Basic license a year ago...and now getting in my flying hours. Real Estate is my goal. A professional photographer since 1985 turned high school teacher. I'm retiring in 4 years and will need something to keep me occupied.
I don't know why everyone was hoping to get tracking with no side sensors. Can they please keep the gimble from wandering around so we can make a usable video and hyperlapse
I got that same abnormal gimbal position message when I did the firmware update. It never happened before that and was fine afterward. But weird for sure! I haven't had an issue with the tracking. When I tested it, it worked just fine with no hiccups. I wonder if the strange gimbal message you got that caused the drop to the ground is the same message I got during the upgrade? I wonder if I had gotten it in flight if it would have dropped as yours did. Did you shut the drone down after that gimbal message and drop? Also, you'd think somebody at Autel would have realized by now that the word gimbal starts with a hard 'g' and not a soft 'g' or 'j'. C'mon guys!

Just noticed the date. D'you think this is an Autel April Fool gag? or do you think that the firmware has more bugs than an ant farm. I was seriously considering the Evo Nano+ to upgrade from my DJI birds - I shoot a lot of interior architectural detailing and even inside a building: the DJI geofencing plays hell with quite a bit of my work (a lot of the heritage buildings I survey are close to or within airport NFZ's) so the Autel drones were a real no-brainer... but I am noticing that there are more and more serious reviews showing big gaps in the features and some really worrying glitches. Just imagine your Evo Lite freaking out like it did in this video in a 17th century Grade 1 building! So, I'll err on the side of caution.
One thousand and more $$$ and this thing does that?? I'm sorry to say, but DJI can sleep good nights if this is what the market will give out as competition...
Can you now tap to focus while in Pro video mode on the Evo Lite+? Pro mode gives you manual control of most variables, but I cannot find a way to focus. It does, however, focus itself pretty perfectly while in Pro mode. Still, in a mode where I can supposedly control all variables, I should be able to focus it myself. No?
@@ycchen5521 I agree that Pro mode needs a lot of work. But I can’t use Video mode for much, I like to decide when to use f/11 and/or choose all the other settings. In Video mode you can only guess what choices are being made for you.
5:50 OA is still off and it worked. OA on or off doesn't explain the nose dive and issues I still had. Second half of the video I had OA on and the OA didn't give me any warnings.
AUTEL tracking sucks. It sucked with the Evo2Pro and it sucks with this one too. I tried out mine yesterday for my video and it came so fast at me that I almost punched it out the air hahahaha . It really radical flying.

Autel lite is very sensitive. If the IMU or compass is not ready, it won't even let you take off.

Mine also failed after the update, boxes it and sent back to dealer. Mine did the exact same issues flying like that.

Autel may have a good camera drone but will never be at the same level of DJI quality control

And, in PRO mode, you can't zoom, you can't take picture while taking video. So I use only VIDEO mode and the variable aperture is a useless.

My Parrot Anafi without obstacle avoidance does much better tracking than Autel's latest and greatest.

AUTEL communicated that is BASIC Tracking, not the full code. This is stil cooking.
You have a yellow box around you. Does this mean something? Suspect you maybe doing something wrong.
