Im amazed with the blue on the white boats at the beginning. it's something i can't get right. I was genuinely nervous when you did that and said to myself, "That's way too dark." When looking at the overall painting at the end, did i see the magic white boats appearing and said to myself, "she's done it again"!!!!

I thought at the beginning the composition looked far too complicated so it was fascinating to watch how you handled it by just painting the shapes and then suddenly it all started to pull together. I loved the muted colours too. You did a grand job. Thank you for sharing it with us.

I have been to Mt. Pleasant, there are some good restaurants there. It’s beautiful a long the coast of South Carolina. I once lived about 2 hrs from there in SC. 🦩🌴🌊🛥️

Hi Lori, you can take oil paints. Put them in a sealed container and and label them artists colours not oil paint. I don’t take linseed / turps I buy it there.

do you ever use a View Catcher? I love mine for setting up my composition.
Hi Barbara I do use a view Catcher and a homemade viewfinder. They are so helpful for simplifying a busy subject and honing in what’s important! 👍💫😊
