one of my greatest memories is from the night Andrea Pirlo retired (the "notte del Maestro") and Clarence scored an amazing header, we could only say OOOOOH and that reaction from San Siro was absolute wild...Pirlo-Gattuso-Seedorf is the greatest midfield ever and nobody can change my mind

I'm a Netherlands fan, and this episode warms my heart as Seedorf was one of my childhood heroes and one of the reasons I got into becoming a staunch Oranje fan(also family on mom's side are Dutch).

Just one agonising detail that I never knew before, as a chelsea fan... I would have Loved it if he'd played for us, god. But so it goes. Also... funny that we'll be playing against the Dutch in the semi-final next week, so this was a well timed episode too lol

Can't believe Seedorf got to work with the legend that is Ellis. What a lucky guy.
Clarence was and is still a class act. One of my favourite midfielders of all-time. He basically had no weaknesses and had an incredible right foot. I think if he would've won a major international tournament with the Netherlands, he'd be considered their version of Bobby Charlton.
