You probably realized by now, but one of those shorter metal piece is not missing a plastic top, it is meant to stick your barbell in there for storage.
@@eminentdog a land mine attachment would move. What he is talking about is the static piece on the back that holds your barbell. It cannot be used as a land mine.
Hey man, I got this setup and the trx bands after watching this vid, but I had trouble keeping balance. What tips do you recommend for counterbalance to make sure it’s solid outside of bolting. I saw you put your legs on the actual back of the rack, I did the same and it prevented it tipping for chest press, what else can I learn?
Which tool do you recommend for this? I read that a 11/16 is fine, but I was thinking about an adjustable. I don't know much about tools, and I tried to assemble with only the tools in the box with no luck. Thank you for the video!
Sorry I missed this. I just used a socket wrench and the wrench that came with it. I'd have to check which socket size it was. You also just use another basic wrench to hold the other bold in place while you crank with their wrench but it will just take a little longer.
I am having the same problem, I’m not great with tools but didn’t know if was gonna be this difficult, I am using what came with the box, and have a adjustable wrench but not having any luck, what tools do you use and what’s the best place to buy them
How tall are you? I noticed you had to bend your knees while doing the pull-ups and that's a pet peeve of mine. I am looking for a bar that is tall enough so I can just hang straight.
I was thinking about your question as I was working yesterday on it. I'm 6 ft so based on what I was sizing up I think the biggest detriment for you would be for pullups. You would pretty much have to bend your knees. Otherwise, you could still bench, squat, and use the rack no problem for other things. Depending on how much weight your laying into for things like TRX stuff, you really would have to weigh it down / bolt it down. So basically it depend on what you're thinking about using it for. Hope that helps
Would you happen to know what the diameter of the j cup peg is? I'm wondering if these j cups would fit into some squat stands I have which are 11mm in diameter. Cheers!
What is the maximum outer width of the rack? I have a nook that is 47 inches wide and I wasn't sure if it was going to fit inside that nook. Some places say the squat rack is 46 inches wide, other places say it is 50 inches wide? Thanks!
@@hybridresistance Oh, that's awesome, thank you for doing a follow up! Something I saw in another review of a different rack was that they did all the measurements of the rack (showing it with a measuring tape): th-cam.com/video/Pf1GRyyC9HU/w-d-xo.html which I hadn't seen before.
Yes and actually I realize that I never mentioned the weight limits. It can handle up 500lbs maximum weight. I'd definitely get a pair of safety bars with it though.
I still use it to this day and have recently been using it a lot on recent workouts with new weights. It's fine for what it is, but it can't handle stress pulling from the side say from TRX bands.
@@hybridresistance thanks! mainly planning on using it for pullups, gymanstic rings dips and rows. I think since the rings are pretty balanced it should be ok right?
I do and have used them, just need to make sure it's weight down. Mine holds up good with two 45lb plates on the back holders, however there can be a slight give with enough band tension. Doing vertical pulls on the pull up bar also works really well.
It can handle a max of 500lbs from what I read. So yes you can load up a barbell for whatever you like. I'd just make sure you have some safety bars in if you ever bench with it.
hey, what tools did you use to assemble this? every time i try to screw a bolt in, the other side rotates alongside with it. its making me very confused.
@@hybridresistance should I get an adjustable wrench or the regular ones with the holes at the end? Also for the socket wrench, I'm not sure about the sizes and which one to get. I just wanna make sure it fits

Yes, I have had few people who let me know this already. Thanks for watching and catching that though!
Landmine attachment

This is the best budget option no question, I got mine for like 110 used, good price during quarantine.
Crazy its $154 in the video, i got mine for 100 flat off amazon.
Thank you for this review....I will definitely be ordering this! 👍🏾
I just bought this yesterday at my local Walmart for $50. I just need plates for squats
Wow, that's a steal

I dont remember but me and my Dad assembled this without any extra tools besides the ones from the box.

Can you trx row on it? Not ust do up and down movement? I’m wondering about the stability. Thanks!
Yes, you just have to weight it down with something on the back frame. I simply just set my dumbbells on top of it and I can do any TRX move.
Great Thanks!!
What is the weight capacity to pull ups?
Want to get it for barbell training
How tall are you? I noticed you had to bend your knees while doing the pull-ups and that's a pet peeve of mine. I am looking for a bar that is tall enough so I can just hang straight.
I'm 6ft.
Can you add safety bars to it jus for if you are squatting?
Yes I'm sure you could. You'd just have to find bars that fit this machine.
can you add lat attachment?
Great video
Just wanted to ask you, do you recommend having this for a tall guy (6'4 f - 193cm) ?

Hi. What is the height fully built? What kind of bar fits the J-cups?
7ft
Would it fit a 5 foot barbell
No only 7ft
I was swinging on mine and it feels like it’s going to snap, should I stop? I have a 30 day warranty
If it's not working for what you want it for, I would.
Hi can you get a bench for this rack thanks

I've have to go out and check. I'm going to do a follow up "update" on this very soon. So when I do I can come back and address this comment later.

Correct me if I’m wrong but that piece that missing isn’t that where the barbell would go? Standing up?
Yes you're right. I was dumb in not realizing that when I first made this.
If one were to use this rack outside or in their garage could it be good for muscle ups?
I'd say you could, but for long term, I'd get a different one.
Ring dips should be nice for dips
Can you bench using this 🤔
Yes and actually I realize that I never mentioned the weight limits. It can handle up 500lbs maximum weight. I'd definitely get a pair of safety bars with it though.
what length barbell do i need for this?
Just a standard barbell length 5-6ft.
After some time would you still recommend?
I still use it to this day and have recently been using it a lot on recent workouts with new weights. It's fine for what it is, but it can't handle stress pulling from the side say from TRX bands.

The left pole standing up isn't supposed to have a cap it holds bars upright.
Yes, people have commented that. Can't believe I didn't think of that.

You need a socket wrench on one end and another wrench on the other end to brace it from rotating.

The piece is for Land mine attachments not for barbell storage lol
Yes, don't know why I didn't think of it at the time.
It’s $260 now lmao
It definitely rises in price when stock is low. It'll come down I believe.
How can I be safe while bench pressing?
I've picked these up and these are a good option to stay safe. amzn.to/3rFflJN
