Adrian, I wish you were located in the Northeast US. Your store would undoubtedly be my favorite place to shop. You have a knack for making everyone feel so comfortable with your consistently positive attitude. Great video!

It can be hard to take a lot of the pretense and... Um, artistic license in his descriptions but as a former Wilson owner, they are magic

I really like what Peter says about Adrians Work. I really like Wilson products, and I think that Mr. McGrath is an important part of the Success of the brand. But it is cruicial that dealers and "specialists of this industry" lay aside their pair of "bias glasses" and inform potential clients the way Adrian and his team are. No reason to hide your own preferences and products. But it is important to show the vast amount of possibilities to achieve a great sounding system. To me, only AE does that on that level of quality and consistency. Thank you.

I couldn't agree more with what Peter said. Adrian never changed. I'm a fan and always will be.

I just heard a demo of the Shasha V and they were incredible! I thought I was a Sonus Faber guy but that totally changed my mind! Will you guys be reviewing them??

I will need to listen to the new version of Wilsons again. I have found previous versions not that great. The treble was fatiguing and brittle and I found the drivers didn't blend well together (coherence). This was not just my opinion but others in our audio club that also listened. They were set up at a dealer with Peter. Of course these are just opinions and I will listen again at Pacific Audio Fest.

@jazzlouise . . . I have to agree with you . . . however I guess if I follow my own "advice" (the mind is like a parachute - works better when open :-) I'll have to give the new generation of Wilson's a listen . . . but in the past they have NOT impressed . . . there is one reviewer who replaced his Dynaudio Heritage Specials with a pair of small Wilsons (WTF?!) . . . I think the ONLY saving grace with his set-up is that he was driving them with a McIntosh which is probably VERY forgiving - thank God for THAT ! LOL

INTERESTING (as usual !) with your videos Adrian ! Ahhh the room . . . yes. . . . thousands of hours and money are spent on R&D with regard to enclosure configurations and how and where the drivers are placed within them . . . THEN we essentially place a "driver" (the loudspeaker) within a room (essentially an "enclosure") So NO WONDER loudspeaker placement is critical in a room! This analogy is by no means perfect but it may underline the importance of room treatment and speaker placement. AS MUCH aa I respect Wilson's efforts in sound reproduction I favour the loading of the room with open baffle speakers . . . a more natural listening experience (IMHO) and WAY less sensitive to placement of the speakers and where we sit . . . the idea of having the speakers dialled in to the last quarter of an inch, to me, is almost sad (unless we are hermits LOL) and we don't want to share the experience with others or even move around the room or sit off centre etc. . . . NEVERTHELESS I did enjoy this interview and many thanks for it! (P.S. nice running into you in Montreal!)

A note to the editor: the intro music is about 10 db louder than the rest of the video

Thank you. It’s been a long time since I have explored audio and I really appreciate your discussions and channel.
I wanted to ask you how Wilson Audio speakers play with Krell and Bryston 5 or 7 channel systems. In my younger years I’ve had good experience with Bryston, Krell, and Macintosh. I love stereo but but only having room for one system it has to handle both stereo and multi-channel and movies. But, sadly, you don’t carry two out of three of the high end brands I’ve had awesome experience with.
I have the utmost respect for Wilson Audio and would love to have their speakers.
Thank you for your videos and your manner in conversation.

Adrian's voice seems to have an echo in the video, much more than previous videos. Peter voice doesn't seem to have the same echo.

Amazing video Adrian and Peter! It was such a privilege to hear the XVX's and Alexia's: They are truly remarkable!
I do want to disagree with something that Adrian says in the video. He referred to his customers as clients and talks about how he treats them. Frankly, as an AE patron, it isn't really accurate what he says. Adrian more treats you as a friend than a client. He would give you the shirt off his back and always tries to offer you more than you expect. I really mean this: I am proud to call Adrian a friend, and he treats me as one. "Client" isn't accurate, "Friend" is much appropriate. This post is unsolicited and I am in no way affiliated with AE 😂

Adrian, sir, you’ve said in the past that you like the sound of Wilson speakers driven by Macintosh systems. Does that include their digital or class D amps? I’m looking to rebuild my audio system and would love to use Class D. Mac, legacy or ?
Thanks for what answer you can give!

I see the main problem is spending $100K on speakers that are so tunable that in the perfect spot the music is near perfection. That whole idea sucks. I would be much happier to have a pair of speakers that sound really good in a 6 to 10 ft sweet area not in a spot that might be 2 ft. Wide by 2 ft high. I'll take speakers that you can seat two to four people can really enjoy the sound at their seating location.

"a millionth of a second" - hmm.... let's see... speed of sound is 343 meter/second. In one microsecond that sound travels .34 millimeters. I don't know about anyone else, but my own *breathing* moves my head more than that. To say nothing of normal body movements and twitches.

This plays like a gigantic 40 minutes advertisement. And basically Wilson has nothing interesting to say with regards to pushing technological boundaries. Jesus, they're still using ferrite magnets for some drivers while others like Raidho, B&W Diamond, and Wilson Benesch have moved on to Neodymium magnets. Absolutely embarrassing. Even in the cheapest speaker you can hear the difference in Neodymium vs Ferrite.
