One of the prettiest boats I have seen. And, 22 horsepower Volda engine. It was not uncommon in the later years of the semidiesels that they used 190 grams of diesel fuel per horsepower hour. Which means 5..02 liter per hour for the engine at full load. And, when these engines gets warm and they use them there is almost no smoke from them either. Today the same boat would maybe have 10 times as big engine, 220 horsepower, and 180 gram per horsepower hour. With 220 horsepower it would use 50 liter per hour at full load, and maybe 40 liter at reduced load and perhaps 1 or 2 knotts more in speed. So, these boats and engines are very environmental friendly.
Someone please explain: in the pilot house, there's the normal wheel to turn the rudder. But, what is the horizontal wheel he's turning to maneuver the boat? I've noticed them on other boats (in videos only), but can't figure out what they do.
These engines and most of the boats that there fitted to use a variable pitch propeller with a direct drive propeller. One would start off in a fine pitch equivalent to a low gear and as speed was gained the pitch could be coursened equivalent to a high gear. If the wind was behind the boat and even greater pitch could be set. But when towing a net one would use a finer pitch. Verable pitch propellers never really caught on in the UK as we went in for higher reving engines. The horizontal wheel you as about is the pitch control.
it can be adjustet between full ahead to full astern, by adjusting the pitch, so the propeller is turning the same way all the time and you just adjust the blades, going forward or back.
Das ist ein toller Sound Danke für die schöne Aufnahme.
What an old beauty. Love that engine.
Barndoms minner i fleng :) Så flott båten var blitt! Lyden er helt magisk.

Hel høsten lå jeg på gutterommet og hørte på denne lyden før jeg skulle på skolen. Fantastisk gode minner, flott restaurert.

Beautiful kutter and engine
Beautiful ❤🎉
What a beauty, looks like you could fill it full of diesel and food and take it to the Bahamas...
If you knew nothing of this vessel you would think it was a new-build around a far older engine.
Absolute beauty
Den skøyta der er virkelig en drøm👍🏻 godt gjenomført👍🏻

For en nydelig båt!
Nostalgisk...
fantastisk fin kutter
