- Z-BLUE arrives on the planet of the Angels which has had all life (including all bacteria) absorbed by the Angels to fuel their power. Asakim intends to settle things with Z-BLUE on this dead planet once and for all and take their spheres so that he may have the power to defeat the Angels.
Using his new powers, Asakim summons multiple Shurougas and each are powered by the Black Knowledge. While Z-BLUE is fighting with Asakim, Sacrifi is at a safe distance observing the fight.
After a long fight and with the power of the 4 spheres and the Solarian, Z-BLUE finally defeats Asakim. With the battle over, Sacrifi, the only benevolent Angel that the team has met so far, reveals herself. Before she can reveal more about Asakim's past, Advent shows up and absorbs Sacrifi.
Advent then sets his sights on Asakim and reveals that the Shurouga was a parallel version of the Superme God Sol made to control the Akashic Record. It has absorbed memories and information from countless deaths and rebirths of the universe and has changed over time, to the point that it no longer resembles its original form.
Asakim is a copy of the original pilot of the Shurouga that had died a long time ago. Asakim was created by the Shurouga itself, but because the Shurouga has changed over time, it probably also affected Asakim in the process in terms of his looks and characteristics.
After revealing the truth, Advent absorbs Asakim as well and soon leaves with Z-BLUE giving chase. Meanwhile on Earth, the world leaders are preparing something big as there are only 5 days to go before the barrier surrounding the Earth disappears.

I can't help but smile when I hear that line.
Bonus points in that it's the only instance in the Z series where a character from a licensed series refers to an original protagonist by their name in a voiced line.

It Warms my heart that you gave Setsuko the last hit. She Deserves it after the shiiiit that walking hot topic put her though, with all the mind games and killing all her friends, etc.
you know I rather feel sorry for shurouga, its like a soldier that has seem so much suffering in its life that its become irreversibly warped it can't remember its closest ally correct anymore or even its original name.
ZAFT combination + Setsuko, that is a really fitting way to finish him off

+DarkmanDS254 Yeah, that is true, and I if I'm not mistaken, Shinn (and probably the rest of ZAFT) are also pretty close to Setsuko, so having them finished Asakim together makes me smile, haha

From the bits I gathered, I think the Glory Stars left the Titans early in the game, I am not overly familiar with the story myself though

the shurouga looks like a lot to the cybuster, I think thats why you choice this BGM in particular

Any idea on what the music that plays after the whole fight, with Hibiki trying to take on Asakim and then Rand, Setsuko, and Crowe join in with the Solarian and everyone powers up is called? Not Neppu! Shippu! Cybuster, the one that plays right after it.

ktvoid 27106 welp probably cybuster will turn to shurouga :(
Apparently the Shurouga is based on a concept of a third OG mech that was supposed to be introduced with the Cybuster and Granzon, intervening in the battle between the two. If they don't go for the "Asakim is a version of Masaki" route, its likely they'll go for the original plan instead, and have Asakim play a third wheel to the dynamic between Shu and Masaki.

Hikaru Midorikawa is primarily known as Heero Yuy's voice-actor, if I recall correctly.

+OverNerd03 From what I can make out, Masaki is Masaki. Asakim never existed as anything other than a hologram-cum-personality construct that the corrupted Cybuster used to converse with sentient lifeforms after its pilot died.
