Watch this video as I demonstrate a particular vocal exercise that has worked for me and my students to get rid of pesky glitches that appear in particular parts of the vocal range for various reasons.
If this does NOT work for you, either get a vocal lesson with an intuitive coach or get an appointment with a laryngologist who can check your vocal cords for possible damage.
These, as all vocal exercises, should leave your voice feeling good, though your brain may be a little stressed because form is extremely important. They are deceptively simple, but demand a lot of control to really make them work the wonders they can for your voice.

This exercise works even better than the straw and the balloon!
Why did this bring my voice completely forward?! AND I got higher than I’ve gotten in a long time!! Anybody who doesn’t know, I had vocal damage and suffered MTD. Judy you’re a genius.

Really solid! I reached out to you via your website.
Great exercises! I’m in a hotel room with Hearphones on and nobody’s banging on the wall for a change!😁
HAHA... love those HearFones, and love that you're practicing, Ronny!
I like it. Thanks, Judy!
Glad you notice that it works for you!!
This is awesome: thank you. I will do this with and without the Hearfones.
But I already do this when I wake up in the morning, yawning. 😜
Great idea to do with and w/o HearFones... and you're right... there is a ton of yawning involved!!
Is this the only exercise I would need before a concert, or would I need to warm-up more?
It really depends on the condition of your voice, and the vocal stamina you've built up. Have you considered booking a lesson with targetted vocal exercises you can record and use for gigs?
@@JudyRodmanvoice no I haven't thought of booking a lesson. How do I do this?
