I Build and Animate a LEGO Goat Knight ARMY MOC!

- In this Video I'll attempt to create a brand new Lego Castle faction to rival the likes of the Lion Knights, Black Falcons, and even the Fright Knights.
My submission?
The Goat Knights!
I hope you enjoy this Video. It's got custom Army Building, a Time-Lapse MOC, as well as a Stop Motion Movie at the end. Thanks for watching! - บันเทิง
I really like the idea of animal themed knights. You should definitely create more animal themed armies.
Thanks, I’ve got a few more animal knight faction videos in the works!
I betcha he's gonna build something great with those reindeer/elk animals. I saw the Easter egg he put in the video with that PickaBrick order...
just not another lion knight, there’s at least 3 of those
@@whitechainreview 😅🤫
I second this idea!
This might be the best MOC army I've seen. Just pure creativity and no flips given how much sense it makes.
Wow, thank you I’m glad you liked it! 😄 I’m glad the goat knights were well received, because my other factions I’m planning are starting to look way weirder in comparison
Love the goat army idea! I enjoy it when people build unique armies/factions rather than just sticking with already established ones.
I’m glad you liked it! I already have a few more animal knight factions I’d like to build now
It is weird, but isn't it what Lego is about ? Being creative, sometimes goofy, to create your own world
I really like the goat army! To me, it gives off the impression of shepherds recently pushed into war by circumstance instead of a traditional kingdom, which I think is a very cool sort of flavor. They also that green nature vibe of the Forest Men while still feeling plenty distinct from them.
Thanks and I really like that backstory! I definitely took some inspiration from the forest men and wanted them to have a similar feel
I also like it it was hilarious😂
I love these little guys
The Goat Knights are canon now!
Great ideas, creative alternative to the Vampire Knights, well done.
They are! Glad you liked them 😄
That short video at the end was glorious!! Got me chuckling good!
Thank you for sharing, this was very enjoyable, and a nice bright spot in the normally mundane work day.
Thanks so much, I’m glad you liked it! 😄
Awesome video! The build was great and the stop motion at the end was fantastic! I love the way you used close up shots to make the most of the limited space!
Thanks! I had to make due with what I had on hand, but I think it forced me to be more creative than I would have been otherwise
This was pretty cool. A cleaver use of pieces.
We have the opposite problem, I was wanting to get more of the goatherd figures to make a medieval village and got Basil instead.
Thanks! Looks like you’re going to have to make a medieval bat farm now lol
I love the stop motion video it was hilarious fierce king runs away from a bunch of scary goats
Thank you, glad you liked it! 😄
Maybye Lego is thinking of a goat themed faction and the minifigure from the blind bag series is just foreshadowing.
I would love that!
I think you were creative and did a good job on the Goat army.
I also emailed Lego about the lack of Vampire knights and that it would make a lot more sense to sell them with transparancy directly from their online store thus still allowing for the myster box to be a fun thing for kids (if they really enjoy that). To have a store only getting in two boxes of CMF means that there are only 6 knights avaliable for an entire community to vie for.
More people need to speak out about how they market these CMF.
Thanks!
Yes it would be great if they sold the figures individually. I get why they do it, but it’s really annoying, especially when cmf figures shoot up in value so quickly on the secondary market
This makes me want to get Satyr pieces and to do more fun stuff with my little animals. I love this! Glad the algorithm randomly showed me this
Do it! I’m glad you liked it 😄
They say the legendary goat herder stopped the lion knights with only his goat herd
Like the ingenuity. #Go Goat knights
Haha this is one of the best Lego videos I've ever seen. I was sceptical when you said you wanted to make a goat army, but they came out really great and the fort really establishes them as a proper faction! The stop motion video made me laugh out loud several times.
Wow thank you so much! I’m really glad you liked it 😄
Goat as dragon 😂😂😅, goat as soldiers 😂😂, . Nice
Thanks!
Thank you for sharing. I enjoyed seeing the characters and stop motion video
Glad you enjoyed it!
I really like the idea with the animal army, would love to see a wolf army like something similar to the ones in the lord of the rings 😊
I may or may not be planning a canine themed faction right now 😎
Amazing Video! Great presentation, creative ideas and a relaxing athmosphere. Liked and subscribed👍
Thanks for the sub!
I loved the part where the goat was breathing fire during the stop motion. Great Job!
Thanks! That whole scene ended up being my favorite part of making this video lol
Awesome faction and display piece.
Thanks!
Perhaps some of your other animal-themed knights could incorporate old Chima pieces. The Lion Knights would be a good place to start.
That’s a good idea, I know I have a few chima figures I might be able to use 🤔
@@DingoBricks Thanks. Also, what are they?
That fortress looks incredible!!! I love the idea of goat themed knights!
Thanks!
That was awesome! The custom builds are fantastic, I love the idea of the goat kingdom is super cool. The stop motion is amazing
Glad you liked it!!
I like 'em! They've got lots of character!
Thanks! 😄
Love the stop motion Kingdom and battle
Thank you for always supporting my Lego-ing!!! 😄😄😄
Really cool video! I am looking forward to more episodes on the trash kingdom but I also really enjoyed this. Keep up the great work!
Thanks! Next video will definitely be about the Trash Kingdom, but I plan on making more videos like this from time to time 😃
Definitely continue it
Practice makes man perfect. This is what you are doing ❤
lmao the tornado goat!
This was my absolute favorite part to make lol 😂
That is interesting, I really enjoy this. Please make more Goat Knight series, and thank you for sharing.
Glad you liked it! The Goat Knights will return
You should make a kingdom for your dog I feel like that would be awesome
That would be really cool! I’m going to have to start planning one for him 🤔
Man thats amazing! Would love to see bat lords army !!
Thanks! As soon as I find some 👍
I think a neat bit of lore would be, if one of them had lost a goat in battle they took the fallen goats horns and then wear them in honor of the fallen goat.
Oh I really like that, kind of dark though lol
Great video you’re calm voice is very fitting 💯
Thank you! 🙂
Okay this was amazing. Your stop motion thing just put a huge smile on my face and I even liked the custom goat army and MOC quite a bit, despite it being a bit silly for a normally relatively serious Castle theme.
Thanks for making this, I'm very much looking forward to what you are cooking up next!
Thanks, I’m glad you liked it! I had originally planned to make this faction a bit more realistic, but as soon as I put a helmet on one of the goats I knew there was no turning back and I just decided to lean into the goofiness lol
@@DingoBricks The goats can't be denied!
Don't worry about leaning into the goofyness, I made a viking with a carrot helmet a few days ago. Lego should be fun and playful, adult or not.
I don’t remember Sensei Wu ever mentioning Goat-jitzu, but it seems these knights are masters of it 12:20
They definitely are! I’m glad you noticed, this was my favorite part of the entire video 😂
I really liked this video, very creative! Well done 😊 And the last part was hilarious 😂
Thanks! I really had fun making this one 😄
Wouw ! 😯 The MOC looks great 😊🫶🏼 I liked the stopmotion at the end 😅
Thank you so much 😀
@@DingoBricks You are so very welcome 😊🙏🏻
You should try to do it for different animals. One idea that would be very easy since Lego has made so many minifigures variants would be dinosaurs!
That would be so cool!
You could have different factions for t-Rex, triceratops, raptors, etc. I might have to try it out
Exactly, it would make for an awesome video, that would get you even more audiences.
Amazing stop motion, it was really funny lol
Thanks!
That Goat Knight Army idea is brilliant, i live it t
The sop-motion might have taken "too much of your time"... but well worth it ! Very fun ! Thanks a lot !
Thanks! It’s a lot of work animating, but really rewarding seeing the figures come to life
Yeah actually Yeah they look cool and can give us some lore
Glad you like them! I’ve been thinking up som backstories for the characters I might incorporate into future videos
Great job with your MOC and with the stop-motion! It's nice to see someone with a decent Lego collection and a love for the imagination it can spark, yet who also sympathizes with the plight of many: the crazy cost of the hobby. Thank you for making great content anyway! I have always collected Lego SW, but I am enjoying the medieval theme a lot right now. I only have a handful of figs and an assortment of pieces, but I am excited for what I will build in the future. This was my first video of yours, but I am subscribing!
Thanks so much! 😄 yeah, this hobby can get super expensive if you’re not careful. I feel like having limited pieces definitely forces me to think outside of the box. Castle is such a fun theme, if you have a lot of Star Wars maybe make a storm trooper castle!
incredible, per usual!!
Thanks, glad you like it!
I like your building love to see a slow growth of a moc you make
Thanks! I wasn’t sure if posting the entire build, set backs and all, would be interested or not but I’m glad you liked it!
I liked your moc and that the "commander ?" of the Lion Knight is a bully and not a pure knight with a big heart like Lego portrayed the Lion Knights
Thanks, and you’re the first person to mention this! my head canon is that this is the grandson of the current ruler of the Lion Knights and the faction is no longer as altruistic as they once were.
So cool ! The bravest army ! :D
Incredibly creative army building, keep up the good work with these, subscribed!
Thanks! 😄
This looks friggin' sweet dude!
Thanks!
Very enjoyable video! Animation is slick too
Thanks, glad you liked it!
Really enjoyed this video reminds me of late 2000s lego vids. Can tell alot of effort went into it great work.
Thank you, it’s probably because I’m a bit out of touch lol. Yes lots of work, but it’s really rewarding watching the animation come together 😄
@@DingoBricks eh its a good thing lol
The neck piece you said came from the penguin figure actually comes from the ice warier cmf. Nice vid btw
Thanks and good catch! I didn’t know the ice warrior had a different piece. I wish I realized before I made the video 😅
They are very similar so i think iether one would work for the minifigure.
Not weird just a funny but awesome idea.
Glad you think so!
The technic on the side isn't super bad, you can now connect other mocs to that one! XD
Good point!
You did a “GREAT JOB” 🥳🥳🥳
Thanks!
This is awesome! Very relaxing to watch and the stop motion is so great 💯
Thank you so much 😁
Really fun, but I think Hun Legs would suit Goat King more ;)
Thanks! That could work, I’ll try swapping them. I think I’d have to find another green / olive green piece to add to him though so that he matches the other Goat Knights though 🤔
Super creative idea, and really well made
Thank you very much!
Great job on the MOC and video
Thanks!
Awesome animation but i must say it would be cool if those figures
Cool build and it make sense for an goat army but i will say you should make that roof bigger
Thanks, and noted! Maybe I’ll expand their fort one day. I feel like the interior of the goat fort would be pretty fun to build
One of the best part this hobby is how it forces you to think with the pieces you have in your collection and this vid was fantastic showcasing it!
I think this might have been the lesson Basil was trying to teach me all along. Making this video has definitely unlocked something, I have so many weird things I want to build now lol
these videos are so crazy quality. Im inspired to start making lego videos now lol
Thanks! You should do it!
Loved it.
Very cool !
Thanks! 😄
Amazing video man! I am definitely inspired to start my own channel after watching this.
Go for it!
That was AWESOME🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you!
This was brilliant!
Thanks!
Love it! I wish I have your imagination!
Thank you! 😊
Goat king Schlatt!
Who’s that? 😅
The massacre of goatkeep.
I think an army that honors goats probably kills a lot of trolls. I have an idea in the back of my head for a troll-slaying knight that chooses a goat for his heraldry, in honor of the Three Billygoats Gruff.
That fits so well, I can’t believe I didn’t think about that story before building these guys!
Come to think of it, I’m actually surprised LEGO hasn’t made an official Goat Knight CMF, considering how popular goats are with Medieval Lego builders
@@DingoBricks Hopefully they will. Cheers, mate! Great video!
Thanks!
that was awesome, funny idea! :D
and i totally get the struggle with finding the cmf figs. i was lucky enough to find six vampire knights after a good amount of scanning and weighing.
please continue making videos of custom figs and little mocs. i find and very inspiring to see what builds other people come up with and the stories they tell with them or about them.
cheers!
Thanks so much! 😄
I’m glad you were able to find some vampire knights. I’ll keep searching, I know there has to be some out there somewhere
@@DingoBricks good luck!
Awesome video! I had the exact opposite experience with the new series. I got Basil on my very first box but now i cant for the life of me find any goatherds xD
Thanks! Sending goat luck your way!
Best of luck on finding your missing minifigs to both of you. I opened 2, got one figure I wanted (the female barbarian) and then decided to just buy the goat herder from the secondhand market instead. Lego takes up a lot of space and minifigs I don't need are really not something I want taking up more of it. ;)
@@pinobluevogel6458 yeah at this point its better to buy it off a seller for a few more bucks than scour every shop in town and get frustrated lol
This was a fun video
Thanks!
7:19 Goats in helmets are the best. You should buy more goats if there will in lego PAB online
Don’t worry, if they do stock them in pick a brick I’m going to build a goat armada lol
That Was super awesome
Thanks 😄
I loved this video! Maybe make wolf knights?
😅🤫
Not furries tho
Awesome
quite an extraordinary build. I love the idea and its realization very much. The moc fortress does not open it's doors ... so what? :D I figure it's more of a display piece than a play set so that's perfectly fine i'd say. Looks very cute and lively!!
Thank you, I’m glad you liked it!
this could be followed up by a group that for no reason at all dresses like fruit and is a weird faction on their own. i honestly don't know of other fruit related suits for mini figures, other then the banana, so that could be hilarious, in it's own right. a bunch of random banana themed warriors could be, hilarious.
I like it! It would be fun building banana knights a tropical castle to live in too
Very cool video !
Thank you very much!
This is a great idea keep going
Thanks, will do!
Looks great!
Thanks!
You have a very original and unusual faction of Lego medieval warriors, and such a cool diorama to boot! If you add a little smoothness and a higher frame rate to your animations, it will be really cool! A well-deserved like😉👍
Thanks! Yes I’m still working on improving the stop motion, I’m trying to find a frame rate that balances how long it takes to make with looking smooth
@@DingoBricks, if you don't mind, I can suggest you to start with 15 - 17 frames per second, because that's what I'm currently using in my animations and it creates a pretty smooth video effect😉 Also, if you shoot in Stop Motion Studio, removing transparent elements can make the animation even better - this is a very good option🙂
@legokazka
Thanks for the tip! I’ll try it out. Right now I think I was animating at 8fps. Mostly to reduce the number of photos I had to take. I think I’ll try 15, but I want to still be able to put out videos fairly quickly
@@DingoBricks I believe that everything will work out for you, I wish you success and a large number of subscribers😉
Thank you! 😄
I love your videos!! They are always so enjoyable
Thank you!
Cape madness is a great place for capes, hoods, and flags.
Thanks! I’ll definitely check them out, the prices on pick-a-brick are insane right now. I think I saw one on there for around $7 the other day
Nice job. Keep it up
Thanks, will do!
loved the video!!
Thank you!!
The hobo army? 🤣
Thing is I see you had fun. Which is the most important thing about lego all the time. And you were creative. I only managed to get 1 Basil from a pack at the local toy store. Which already was heavily dug in to. Already had 1 goat from my online order and another from the same store. I feel 1 is enough since I don't moc away with mix and match, and Basil should always be unique in my opinion. So if there will be fright knights again, I hope so. But then I will increase the ranks.
As for soldiers of other factions, I got both the Lion knights castle and the medieval village center. Also have the blacksmith and the 2 gwp sets. I got 8 additional soldiers both lion and falcon. To boost my forces. And with a variety of older CMF figures really make the entire scene come to life.
The period specific CMF figures I own are the magician, bard, knight girl with the stick horse, 2x goat herder, Basil, Barbarian girl, falconer and the Jester. I really am glad I got a few more civilian figures because that is where the castle theme lacks severely.
Sounds like you have a great collection of castle figures!
@@DingoBricks Thanks I think so too. Some just out of luck from the past.
goated
Love it
Thanks!
Amazing video man
Appreciate it!
Such an awesome video
Thanks!
worthy
Thanks!
My local grocery store actually has the CMF boxes so I buy one every time I go grocery shopping to... microdose my lego addiction. lol
lol, I think I’m a fan of “microdosing” as well now that I think about it.
I’m much more likely to buy several $20 sets over the course of a few months than buying one big $100 set.
Thanks, now I suddenly feel a compulsion to add a Goat Faction to my setup...
Do it!
