I can't thank God, and you enough for this episode. I was so desperate for guidance on these matters and voila I found your podcast. I live alone and have been housebound for a year and half through illness. To have someone to share the spiritual life would be a great blessing along with a good confessor. May god Bless you both. Thankyou so much for this episode,a real eye opener for me. I have always thought that she would be too unapproachable and too difficult to understand. I now long to know more of her wisdom and real help with prayer. Thank you for all the hard work that you put into these episodes.
Know of our prayers, Pauline!

Thank you so much for these wonderful and helpful conversations.
I realized how much I have in common with Teresa and her struggles for prayer and life itself. My birthday is on October 15, her feast day. I usually do not pray to her, I just ask for her intercession. One day when I was praying the rosary I felt her presence next to me in a very vivid way and I wasn’t even thinking about her at all. This was many years ago.
After watching this episode I ordered the book right away. I want her to be my friend and my teacher.
Thank you for sharing! I'm glad that you've found a friend in Teresa. Know of our prayers for you, Margo.
Such an excellent discussion on a subject that really hits home. I actually love to pray. I hosted Liturgy of the Hours once a month all Sunday at a small mission church on a highway for 5 years because of the value of group prayer. What I found is it's very difficult to get people to stay and pray. Ironically, Native people were known for praying for hours and hours on end in their mission chapels because they have a long tradition of praying for hours on end. I just wanted to pray all 7 hours of the Liturgy of the Hours, with some personal prayer and meditation in between (and some fellowship on the grounds.) After 5 years of hoping people would come and pray or stay after mass there and pray, I gave up. It was heaven for me, but it took me a long time to realize that it wasn't appealing. People ask for prayer and are willing to participate in group prayer when something goes very wrong or they become ill. I am just a lay Catholic. My best days were the ones I committed to prayer.
This video, like the others you offer, is a blessing. May God be praised for your work and prayer.
God bless you, Jerome!
Thank you this has been so very helpful to me. ✝️🙏
St teresa of Avilla plesa pray for me . Thankyou dear fathers for sharing ...its very inspiring.
Please pray for me that I have strength to deal with the various sufferings that I'm going through right now and that I hold on. Thank you for a great video to help us understand how to endure more. And still stay so close to our Lord. I can't explain the feeling within me that I'm holding on but that it's really, really hard at times.. When you're in almost Constant discomfort everyday, and you don't really see a light at the end of the tunnel with some of the conditions you have to get better even though I'm under doctor's care. Of course being 81 it makes it more difficult being elderly. I live with my lovely daughter and I have all kinds of doctors. But I just offer everything up to our Lord and Lady with full trust. Even though at times I can't see you light at the end of the tunnel, but I don't want to give up. Even if I feel nothing I won't give up. God bless and love all of you 🙏👑🕊️🌹
The same thing here. I’m 78 years old with many health problems and it gets hard for me to pray, but I do… God made me realize that my suffering is helping my family members who are totally away from God. ✝️🙏
Yes, stay close to Jesus, and know of our prayers, Patricia!
We are very blessed every time Fr. Marc Foley makes an appearance. His perspective is always very realistic on the limitations and weaknesses of the human condition, and yet in that brings great encouragement that Gods grace will work through that and help make us saints. My favorite line of this podcast was when he stated that we usually only change when it hurts more not to change. Praying for him and everyone at ICS.
Thank you for your prayers! Know of ours for you as well, Grant!

Determined determination! Thank you! Enjoyed listening! 🙏🏻💕
Thanks father for this initiative, I've been seeking this kind of video on theresa
Thank you so much from Sweden. God bless.
Thank you for this production, this interview and this instruction! “CONFLICT!” The war I sense and the struggle that ensues leaves me feeling defeated. At the core is sin, but like St. Paul, I DO what I don’t want to do, and I FAIL to do what I willingly should. St. Faustina calls this state “misery”. Thank you for the insights to take small steps towards change. God bless you all for the work you do. 🙏✝️🔥
This is really inspiring and interesting for a new convert. Thank you and God bless everyone ❤️
Learned so much I did not know about her. Thank you
Excellent video 🎉
I can totally relate to this.
I have listened to this many times.. Holy Mother St Teresa.. Ora pro nobis!! 🙏🏽❤️🔥🙏🏽
Life can become so unbearable in pain and sorrow all we can do is be still. Be still and know he is God. In the silence the feelings of our heart cry out day and night for His Mercy and Peace and leaving all the personal and cosmic WHYS ??? of life in his Hands. In the end it is the cross if silence. RIP. Eternal Rest. Only his will maters in the end. Nov, Christmas Winter 2024,2025....???
What is discursive meditation?
Hi Ann. Discursive meditation is really any sort of prayer that involves reasoning or reflecting, whether that be analyzing scripture or specific truths of the faith, or even reciting memorized prayers. This is often contrasted with more contemplative forms of prayer which are more still, passive, and quiet.
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
CHRIST IS KING🙏In reparation for the evil publicity towards our Lord
May the most holy, most sacred, most adorable, most incomprehensible, and unutterable Name of God be always praised, blessed, loved, adored, and glorified, in Heaven, on earth, and under the earth, by all the creatures of God, and by the Sacred Heart of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar. Amen
WE MUST NOT TOLERATE THIS!!!!
Why are we not doing masses and prayers of reparation for the evil from Democrats are we that weak, or are we part of them?
