Si señor! Antes de comenzar a estudiar Armonía de Jazz ,etc mi mejor forma de entrar en situación era "calentar" oídos,dedos y sobretodo liberar mente y espíritu durante algo más de 1 hora .
Simplemente tocaba lo que sentía en el momento, y a menudo aparecía Manix them en 3/4 melodía+armonia por separado .

En 6ème j'écoute pour la première fois '' Un américain à Paris '' en cours de musique, et ce fut comme une révélation qui m'a très rapidement fait aimer le jazz. Autant dire que quand le feuilleton '' Mannix '' passait à la télévision, j'étais impatient d'entendre ce superbe titre. C'était mon enfance. ♥️🎶🥂

I love how TV composers of that era used the winds to punch through the small TV speaker. It's basically a big band arrangement with added strings.

That's right...because the tempo is too slow...there's none of the urgency of the original Mannix theme. A great orchestra, but the conductor is off the pace !!
