These battle reports are full of such good natured gaming. The back and forth between the two of you is so fun to watch (and the game looks cool too!).
This was great! I really enjoyed your enthusiasm and how much love you showed for the game. And you are totally right, The Drowned Earth is on of (if not) the best games out there! Already looking forward to see more from you!
Hi Peter! Again Jack NIGHTINGALE from Poland⚪🔴 fantastic gameplay and amazing terrain miniatures😀 You living in New Zealand like in paradise land!thanks and greeting👌
An awesome BatRep! So much work on it. Thank you very much. Peter, your TDE documents and cards are fantastic. Would be so cool to have the cards too at the download section. I hope to see more TDE Batreps in the future, as u guys said. The game is not played here yet, but me and a gaming mate starting it now. Just got my first stuff myself. Greetings Jan (Berlin, Germany)
Sorry Jan, I'm not providing the unit cards, as then I'd be stuck in an endless cycle of creating and keeping them updated for every release! I just make them for my own models. But if you're an EOG patron, I've just posted images over there on my Patreon page if you want to copy the designs.
Hi, Watching New Zealanders playing Drowned Earth, priceless. I really enjoyed the play by play which is somehow more engaging than a pro show from the U.K. I am not so likely to invest in Drowned Earth as the cost is exceptional if one gets into it but instead I am swimming around that dangerous plug hole having backed Ulaya Chronicles: Cooperative Wargame with all the miniatures! ...and with the new Army Painters Speed Paint Mega pack at Mighty Ape now I may even aspire to painting them Cheers and good gaming.
Actually I'm an Australian, though I've been here 10 years. :) Ulaya Chronicles looks amazing and you can look forward to lots of EOG coverage of it. And thanks for that lovely comment about 'more engaging than a pro show'. I may not have the budget, but I try to keep it entertaining! Cheers mate.
It looked like there were a lot of interruptions and slow-downs during the game due to the react system, and rules and stats checking. How would you rate the system of Drowned Earth versus other skirmishes like Urban War, LotR and Infinity?
That's really just the fact it's our second game, bit mainly because we're stopping to explain everything. As Andy mentions (and he's the Infinity player), it's actually a lot easier than Infinity, and when you're not filming a battle report, flows very smoothly!
I think that that's more an effect of how Peter and I roll when filming ;) Honestly though, I haven't played all the games you mentioned, but as a former Infinity player, TDE has a remarkably low cognitive load, given it's dynamic narrative and mechanical flow. It's simpler than Infinity, in that you only need to pay attention to reactions from models with AP tokens rather then every single model with LOS.
@@juderudd1711 oh. Ohhhh! I think I get it at last! So, if you roll a nailed it result, you can opt to use *either* the nailed it range or damage, but not both? That's... really quite ingenious. Thank you, sir, for finally enlightening me - no small feat! :D

Can I order those cards anywhere? Those are perfect. I think the original cards aren't clear at times and often damaged.
@@81Ephasian I'm afraid not - I designed them myself but they're not for sale for obvious reasons. Sorry!

Thanks Rodney! That's the best thing about gaming, it's such a sociable activity. :)
I’d love to see more of this
You will!

Fantastic, glad you liked it. More to come!
Single best skirmish system right now!! 🌴😍🦖
Interesting system. I've learned if you have a problem sic a dinosaur on it. Problem solved! Thanks Peter!
Certainly useful life advice.
Works on everything except meteors... ;P
Great looking board!

YEAH BATTLE REPORT!!!!
I know! More to come in the next few months, and we might even see the return of a familiar face ...
@@EsotericOrderGamers Excellent! Nothing quite like playing games with friends :)
Great report fellas! I love this game, though its been awhile since I've played.
So get back into it! :)

Epic Moment of the game: Your throw of 9 and 9. Ok, again: 9 and 9. ^^

Wonderful, thanks very much for the report. I'm really intrigued by DE... the mouse pointer has bee hovering over the "Buy" button for a while now!

Awesome, thank you both for the reply! I'll definitely will pick this up then. 👍🏻
Interesting game. 1st time seeing it... I think your terrain really sold it tho
You wouldn’t have taken the nailed it damage from the sniper because it was at the nailed it range
Oh man, Peter's tried explaining damages to me at least a dozen times, but brain just say no! 😪
@@oneofmanyAndyRobertsons trick is you can only use one of your nailed it values. So you could take the four damage only on someone within 9 inches
