I started with LM caviar sticks but I actually prefer the BB eyeshadow stick formula (bought nude beach and heather steel yesterday). The only LM shade equivalent that’s missing from BB is Cobblestone, which I use for my eyebrows (I wish BB would come up with an equivalent). I also tried By Terry cream shadow stick in Bronze Moon but it’s way too shimmery for me (but good for just a pop of shimmer). My favourite budget eyeshadow sticks are the Kiko ones, they only mostly have shimmer and pearl shades with just a couple of matte ones. Thanks to you, I just use cream eyeshadow sticks now they’re just much easier and effortless to use (and easier to travel with). My powder eyeshadow palettes are sitting unused and I’m thinking of getting rid of them for good. Thank you for the shade combo suggestions, I can mix and match my eyeshadow sticks with the closest shade matches.

Reckon used to have two versions of a two ended cream shadow stick…my fave was eggplant/khaki comb. Eggplant was not as dark as mulberry, and the khaki looks almost a twin of Forrest. I loved it because the khaki brought out the gold green flecks in my eyes..but as much as I wore that combo I never know what to put on my upper lid…neither looked right so . But I’m thinking of a taupe

Would love to see these on the eyes if you ever get the chance! I always love your eye makeup. You inspired me to start trying to wear eye makeup. So it helps me to see how you wear them. But I do understand. I tried to do a mascara video and a concealer video and all of the makeup removal on sensitive, dry skin is NOT fun! Lol!

I watched this video several times and now again. Love Bobbie Brown and I own some but they are so darned expensive in my country. Could you recommend a good dupe maker for this item? Own also some Kiko but the do not stock all shades. Have fair skin' green eyes and greyish hair. Somehow both thee above mentioned do not pop my eyes. Ypu are very beautiful and a master blender and your choices are always on the spot for me

Just from owning khaki, it looks like forest is much lighter. I agree that forest is beautiful. I feel like I need that one, too. 💚

Shelley, please help me! I love both the BB and LM shadow sticks. Colors are beautiful and easy to work with. Perhaps it’s my technique, but I cannot get the colors to dry down - so my lid and my hood sticks together. It bothers me. Do you have any suggestions?
I prefer matte shadow sticks or satin. My favs are Bark, Cinnamon, and Dusty Mauve. Looks like I need to get my hands on Forest and Mulberry.

I ordered Forest a few weeks ago when Macy's had it BB shadow sticks 30%. I sent it back. It was not a neutral green. It was more like an aged bronze. It was so warm it was gold. it was a stretch to call it green. If it looked more like the closeup and less like the arm swatch in the picture, I would have kept it.
Honestly I notice this with a lot of eyeshadows - they’re described as green but they’re really more like bronze or gold. I figured I just didn’t have a good color sense.

As a warm tone..espresso does work for me and not bark. I was confused with the rest of the colors of being warm tones or not. Please tell me which other colors are warm tone?

An old staple of mine is a MAC 217 - use it to do a full eye look :)
I’m shocked Moonstone has bad reviews for sparkle fall out - it falls out on me too. Can’t decide if I like Smoky Topaz but wish I got Espresso instead. Is it similar to anything you can think of? To me Mica seems green on my eyes - very weird.

Malted pink will definitely show up more pink where nude beach keeps somewhat of a beige undertone!

Hi Shelby I have a question and hopefully I didn’t miss you answering it in the video. Do they work well if you have a tendency to have oily eyelids? I’ve tried a number of eyeshadow primers as well as trying concealers and setting them with powder but more often than not my eyeshadows whether they’re powder or cream or crease. Do you think the Bobbi brown ones crease?
I have super oily eyelids but the bobby brown eyeshadow stick in Golden pink creased so bad on my eyes and what made me more mad was that the color wasn't even a slightly pinky peach color. It was a flaky shimmer with less base pigment then anticipated so it didnt show up on my fair toned eyelids
Jen Vo, I found that both the Bobbi brown Long wear cream shadow stick and the Laura Mercier one both crease terribly on my oily eyelids. I’m sorry I bought them. I have had a real struggle with eyelid primer. The urban decay and the mark Jacobs seem to be better than most. Good luck oh and don’t even try the Mac paint pot they don’t work either

Hi Shelby, do you use any lid primer before the shadow sticks? Or a light shadow stick as a lid primer?
I never prime but some people like using a transparent primer with these if they have oily lids (urban decay primer potion or nars eye primer are good examples)

Honestly, I preferred when you showed the combos on the eye even if it is just an insterted photo not a video of application.
Totally understand. It really does take a toll on my skin to apply, wipe away, and re-apply a dozen combinations to my eyes. I filmed the Laura Mercier video before I had a child so I had all the time to film for several days to break up the looks. Due to illness and the daily needs of caring for my 1 year old, I just couldn’t get all of these eye looks together. Hope you’ll understand!
