    Great video. Ive just downloaded the the Artist software and really needed that beginner tutorial.
    I've recorded my Edrums via midi the other day but I'm not very happy with the sound so I'll get Ezdrummer 3 and upload it in Studio one eventually.
    Am i able to keep and use the existing midi drum tracks and just change the sounds from ezdrummer afterwards? That would mean i don't need to record the whole drum track again.

    • @quantaaudio
      @quantaaudio  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Glad you appreciate the tutorial, thanks for watching. Absolutely, you can keep the same MIDI recording and just send it to a different VST instrument. This is done within the track header where you see the name of its associated VST instrument.

    Absolutely, a terrific video (which I haven't finished). But a basic question--involving connections (not really mentioned in the video). I'm connected via an AudioBox USB 96 with a PC (USB directly, not thru a hub) and a Roland keyboard (TSR from keyboard to input 2). I have not connected any speakers, but I've connected HD7 headphones into the AudioBox. I can record it seems, but I hear nothing thru my headphones. I hear the keyboard only. My Windows Sound settings, for both record and playback, show the AudioBox. Any thoughts?

    Hello....as far as you know, does one have to pay to upgrade from Studio One 6 pro to 6.5. or is the paid upgrade only from 6 to 6.6......their change in policy is a REAL bummer !!! I cannot find the info on their site. I bought 6 pro last year, but then became ill and have just got things back together enough to install and start using....then I heard about this ridiculous subscription model....!!....thanks

    • @quantaaudio
      @quantaaudio  13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I'm not sure if you have the option to upgrade to version 6.5 for free. If you purchased a perpetual license then I believe you can. Just try it and see. I think it would be when version 7 arrives that you would need to pay for that upgrade. Nothing really changes for perpetual license owners, it's just that they've added the new "hybrid" thing.
      The ridiculous thing that HAS changed is that they now hide all of their addons behind the subscription plan and professional users also do not get the new synthesizer either. All of this is really crappy and devious in my opinion. But I can't switch DAWs because I'm too invested in S1. Sucks.

    • @eggsclusive12
      @eggsclusive12 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@quantaaudio Ok..thankyou for your reply. I will try it and see. I too, think this new subscription thing sucks.....loads of companies are trying to do it. Some new twerp either buys or takes over the company and comes up with these stupid ideas out of greed and laziness.....all they end up doing is pissing of loyal customers.....a real shame because IMHO Presonus have been a very good company till now.

    Great vid bro! This is completly unrelated but Im having troubles recoring my instuments. I press record and the outline that shows I'm recording appears but the keys from the instrument don't register into the recording and and it doesn't save the recording after i end it. there is also a delay on the keys when i try to spam a certain key(like building momentum for the beat drop). Any idea on how to fix these issues? Thanks! ( I'm on studio one 6, the most updated version).

      If you just want to track guitars and "nothing fancy". Get Studio One Prime. It's free. There's some drama surrounding Presonus and Studio One at the moment, but if I'll be honest, Prime would be the way to go for you, in my opinion. Even though I'm disliking their tactics for license owners, at the moment.

    I downloaded this and loaded it up and the second I loaded a VST and pressed my midi. No sound. I had to watch a tutorial and followed the exact steps. Still, No sound. Loaded up 2 of my other DAWS to test and perfect. Automatic midi. Studio one is not needed.

      Did you install the software drive for the Scarlett Solo? That's what I use as well, and it shows up for me in S1.

    Why did the trial studio 6version screw up my songs that I had in my studio 4.
    It was just a trial now it has screwed up my stuff I would never try a trial again

      When you try to open a song that was written in an older version of Studio One in a newer version , you are presented with a message stating something along the lines of: "The song you are opening was created with an older version of Studio One, if you continue to open it will no longer work in the older version". So, if you disregarded this message and opened the songs anyway, your songs will be "screwed up" as you say, and you can no longer open them in your older version.
      In the future I would pay attention to the message and don't open the song if you don't want to lose it, or save entirely new duplicate versions of your songs and open those, so you still have the originals that you can go back to.

    How can I make a stereo track on channel 1 ..it's mono 😢

    • @quantaaudio
      @quantaaudio  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      On the left-hand side of Studio One you will see the track column. Look in the track header for "channel one" and you will see a white circle with a hollow center. Click it once and this will change to two circles. The track is now in stereo.

      @quantaaudio I am using artist v5...I don't see that circle anywhere

    It's a nice looking DAW but crashes too often.

    • @quantaaudio
      @quantaaudio  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I never have crashes. It could be a 3rd-party plugin that you have installed.

    • @abolit
      @abolit 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, it's not. It crashes w/o 3rd-party plugins. Go to forums where musicians talk about SO and you will see for yourself. Very unstable DAW.

    • @quantaaudio
      @quantaaudio  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@abolit You can go to the forums of most any DAW and you will find people complaining of instability. For most people who are not having problems, they don't post comments on YT or in forums. Until you poll every single user of any given DAW, you cannot make such a broad claim as you have. If it was as bad as you say, it would not be as popular as it is.
