Calling people is scary - whether it's family, the dentist to make an appointment, whoever... I get nervous every time. Don't really know why, it's been like that forever Same for picking up the phone if I don't know who is calling. Mel-- I can't tell you how much the 5 second rule is helping me be mindful of my food choices to help me lose weight. I use it to eat what is on my eating plan instead of asking myself what I "feel" like eating. i 5-4-3-2-1 myself to follow my healthy eating. IT IS WORKING LIKE MAGIC to make me automatically eat healthy and not stray from what I know I am supposed to eat. :-)
My brother-in-law had an industrial accident several days ago, was told that they may have to amputate his hand & the prognosis was grim. Tonight's surgery has restored feeling in his thumb and forefinger. Another surgery on the remaining fingers is necessary. GREAT NEWS!!! HE KEEPS HIS HAND!!!
I can tell you are a firm but loving, fun but also serious parent, just the kind of combo I try to be with my kids. I told my 4 year old recently (after I told her "no" about something she wanted) that parents are not just there to love you, but also to tell you what you can and what you cannot do or have, in order to teach you and protect you. She was very impressed with that and I started to cry just after because I grew up in a very chaotic household and I tell my child what I wish i had been given when I was little. It's so important to provide that security frame for your kids♥
I am going to call my dad... been putting it off-since Christmas... I will do it even though I put it off too long, even though we probably won’t have a meaningful convo... I will do it anyway because it matters. I will do it because this is the first time he initiated a holiday call.
I just paused this and "did it anyway" and completed my workout and now I'm continuing listening while I get ready for work. LOL. You've already helped me so much. I have not done the morning routine like I should, but I think I will start over so I can be completely on board.

I did what I didn't want to do before I even watched the video this morning. First I addressed a family issue that I had been avoiding and like an earlier video I am not stressing about when my cousin will respond. Secondly, I really didn't to make phone calls but in order to get my birth certificate I needed to call the Health department in the county I was born in to find out the fastest way I need to do this.. I need my passport and have been avoiding the steps for over a year. I now know all the steps I need to take and have a deadline. Didn't want to do it...did it anyway.
I will do it anyway..... my top project for today is to study for exam, which i'm resisting because i repeat it all the time and i feel tired of it, its really complex and hard.. i failed few times... and when i think about do it today i make excuses not to... and im doing it for last few days... so today im gonna do it anyway.. thanks Mel. :D

My Father who had Huntington's disease the doctors told him he could not do it. We did it to prove them wrong. He did it and it felt so good he even did more and learn never to allow people to tell him he could not do it and did things he was told he could not do being happy to his last breath

As Marshall Rosenberg of the Center for Nonviolent Communication used to say, don't say I should, say I shall. That fits right in with saying 54321 I choose to do it anyway and not procrastinate till I feel like it. Don't say I should, must, have to, because no one likes to be told what to do, even if it yourself trying to boss yourself. You'll resist. Do it because you CHOOSE to do it anyway for whatever good reasons.
I didn't want to go to a spin class with my cousin (I had never gone and was feeling very intimidated) and almost cancelled, but then I saw this and I did it anyway, and I'm glad I did!
Working out at home with inspiring work out videos is the way to go for me because if I had to drive somewhere first I would feel like loosing time unnecessarily.

I am totally going to work out because I have been putting it off for months and I know how it makes me feel afterward. A complete do it anyway game changer for me was taking my shower routine and making sure I shaved and I felt good for myself at Night vs trying to rush all those steps in the morning and stressing out and running late.

Definitely noticing how easily I trigger. It all comes from not taking care of things that I should. So the worry isn't far under the surface.

Penny says: Ok - this is how I am going to 'Do It Anyway' tomorrow...Despite having other things I have to do that I want to do, tomorrow I am also going to spend 1 hour doing the garden, no matter what the weather is like. This is huge for me - I hate gardening but I love to have a nice garden. Currently it looks unkempt and I have blamed the heat of the weather in New Zealand for why I have not done it. But I simply don't like doing it, even though I know it needs doing. Bex says: I never find time to do this, but tomorrow I will find time and do my bass practice for at least half an hour.

I am a substitute teacher and many days I don't take an available assignment because I don't feel like working. I can basically work when I want to. I plan on using Do It Anyway to take more assignments next.
I'm gonna use it to wake up for Salah and finally start studying when I should InShaAllah.

Today I am going to use #doitanyway to work on my past due homework for my class that I actually really enjoy. I have a lot of anxiety surrounding school and assignments and professors, etc, because of past experiences… which causes me to procrastinate.
I’m kind of sad I’m almost done the mindset reset program, I might even rewatch the entire thing… 😅

7+ months pregnant so my "do it anyway" involves keeping my body moving even when I am tired and don't feel like it. So walking to and from work, walking the dog, prenatal yoga.

I am totally going to work out because I have been putting it off for months and I know how it makes me feel afterward. It is simply just waking up and changing into my workout clothes that seem so daunting at 5:30 in the freaking morning. I am not a morning person. Since this mindset reset I have been putting the morning routine in place that you talk about and seem to do ok for the first part of the week and come Wednesday or Thursday I am completely exhausted and hit the snooze button :( I am going to #doitanyway

I’ve realised from doing this course ( Thankyou ) that I’m filled with dread around going back to work in my old job ( which I’ve been “ stuck” in for 36 years ) in the future because I’m scared of doing something new in case no one believes in me or thinks I’m qualified to help them ! A complete do it anyway game changer for me was taking my shower routine and making sure I shaved and I felt good for myself at Night vs trying to rush all those steps in the morning and stressing out and running late.
