@@willierepairone5389 Yep, zakilly my thought too: already there, already changing up the genres, evolving jam music, elevating other musicians, and writing songs people will sing decades from now. Roll on Billy Strings, good God almighty roll on.
this is was where I truly discovered him I was laying in my tent which was near the stage. it was a late night set and i was really tired and sleepy but hearing his music drew me out of my tent to dance with all the beautiful souls that were in that crowd
Caught Billy Goat first time at the 420 fest this year and then the next night at terminal west...blown the fuck away. Bringing back blue grass yall!!!
I grew up with 10-12 pickers in our front room least 2-3 times a month..Damn they were good..still have family that plays like hell, hard to beat...but Billy is 1 excellent picker..I listen to them all, from Watson , Rice , who ever and he is above most that has, and probably ever will play..takes a lot of talent to play as he does..!!..

Reminds me of YMSB circa 1999 to 2003. That is a compliment of the highest order BTW. Billy's band is probably each more technically talented but the spirit to take traditional bluegrass out there is the same. No one had done that quite like YMSB at the time.
@@ogs1mpson609 They have one on tour with them this year. Just saw them in Detroit last weekend. Their fiddle player I believe is just filling in, but he is damn good and you're right, it adds such a good sound. They also brought out a lap steel guitar player as well. Played love like me with him, and did a cover of Ballad of Curtis Lowe. Great show
I want Billy to start playing with Dead and Co. sometimes - if John leaves or when Bobby retires, he could step up and then some! Dead forever grateful ...
Fantastic cover of Greensky Bluegrass's Reverend , no wonder Biily was smiling at the end of his solo.
My hometown. This was a such a great night!!!

This is pretty great. They embrace the traditional side and also get into psychedelic jams and I like it.

There’s literally no weak link in this band.
Its hard to realize how good Royal is on the bass as well from just the video. This performance you could feel
Zack Shier They could use a fiddle tho, just to round the sound out

Zack Shier very nice. I love Billy’s choice of covers, very eclectic.
@@ogs1mpson609 he did half of Another Brick in the Wall with a wild guitar intro as well. Such a great group of musicians.
