What an RTP in Nagaswaravali and in the ragamaligai portion he takes up Chalanattai followed by Koteeeswaraiyer kriti Edayyagati. To my mind and which is indisputable he is the only musician who has sung RTP in close to 60 ragams including Chitrambari in which it is difficult even to render a krithi. Likewise he has sung more than 60 varnams in different ragas including in Jyothiswaroopini and Balahamsa. Rare feat. He has also made it a point to popularise a number of Tamil songs and hymns. Appropriate to be conferred with a National Award so that the Award does not lose its sheen. Fondly hope and pray God.

There is nothing called high time for an award. Conferring an award or not on Sanjay is not a measure of his skill, prowess and hard work. On the same note did Balamuralikrishna deserve a Bharath Ratna or not comes to my mind. Anyway award is given to persons who have a lobby and pressure groups. Yes Sanjay does deserve, no doubt.
