ya know, for as grand and fun as a live gig is there's something to just jamming over some trashtalk and beers that the big moments can't really touch like when you keep repeating that same annoying riff you can't finish until something comes through, or having a shit week and laying it all on the strings and amp until it's all out of your system. That's where the magic is for me, and this captures that feeling perfectly.

Holy Jesus, I'm currently saving to get a epiphone thunderbird and a orange terror bass 500 (with a orange 1 12 cab) and this has got me fucking pumped. Obviously it's not all in the gear but that tone man. Still, would not sound so good without a bloody legend behind the bass👍

Invested over $2000 in my first kit (worth every penny). Then I thought, "well I've gone this far why not shoot for the home studio?" So I got a 2000s Mexican made fender strat that I love, with a surprisingly adequate obscure-brand amp. Now I'm starting a project with a friend and I'm focused on getting more recording gear to record my drums mainly. So sadly the bass gear always seems to take last priority but for the reason that I already have something to use, even if not satisfactory. But one day when I upgrade, if I remember to I'll fill you in on it👍(ampeg svt with fridge?🤞) Hope you're doing good these days as well!

Well played good sir. Love the groove. Natural rhythm and great tone. What pedal are you using for the dirt? The amp sounds righteous before it kicks in. Pure 70s rock fury. Then bam. Always love watching other bass players jam the slow and heavy. I'm currently lucky enough to have a usa made pre pro svt 2 and a barefaced 6x10. Using a mountain king megalith or samsamp bass driver for some dirt. Also got a GK fusion head for lazy times and a hartke kilo (great amp tone but blew up inside 4 uses out of warranty too as it was a backup amp) All the gear and no idea with me though. But necessary as I used to tour a lot. Not so much now.

I play an epiphone embassy bass in my sludge band and I cannot recommend a danelectro French toast fuzz enough! The gnarliest, punchiest, tightest and fuzziest fuzz I’ve ever played with on bass. Try one with your thunderbird, if you can!
