St Albans Cathedral | Easter Vigil 2020

The Easter Vigil is a service of watching and waiting. As darkness falls on Holy Saturday we hear readings from scripture and then celebrate the light of Christ's resurrection by kindling the first light of Easter in holy fire and the Paschal Candle. As we celebrate the coming of the Easter feast, we sing the Gloria together and rejoice in the dawning of our salvation.

Like for many, this is a challenging time for the Cathedral financially. With our doors currently closed to visitors, much of our income has fallen away. We are grateful to those who are able to support us. Donations can be made at www.stalbanscathedral.org/donate. Thank you.
