I remember seeing Rozalla regularly on ZBC tv as a rising star in Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 back in the 80s. At the time, little did we know she would later be an international superstar 😊.
I consider Everybody's Free To Feel Good as one of the greatest songs of the 90s. It stands out after all these years. A timeless classic. Thank you Ms. Rozalla.
Met this lovely lady several times in Antwerp and London, booked her a few times. Big star but soo down to earth. She's part of the holy trinity of the 90's house female vocalists together with CeCe Peniston and Kristine W. 😍

AmeyahOfficial I started a bit over 2 years ago, took me about 1 year to get 750 subscribers and now (just 1 year later) I have 5560+ subscribers already. It obviously takes time to grow a channel. I’m promoting a lot on social media and most artists share the interviews as well, so I’m very happy with the way it goes. This is just a hobby and I’m doing everything myself, but I’m not a famous person or whatever, so you can’t expect 100.000 subscribers in 1 year. Things like this take time (and effort, I don’t want to buy fake followers). So, patience 😉
She's charming, humble, and very talented. Definitely one of the best dance vocalists we've ever had. I'm glad she's still around and still active even if the mass-market popularity has faded, as it always does. The stuff she did in the 90s really defined the sound of an era. Her and Heather Small are the two voices I think of when I think of the UK dance scene in the 90s. Happy times, wish we could go back do it all again!
Probably had one of the most iconic piano riffs that just made you not only want to smile, but dance with no care in the world. Music like this actually made you feel free from everything, and it did make you feel good inside and made you feel good about life.

What a lovely lady behind that amazing voice. I didnt expect that she would still be performing all these years later having not heard about her since the early 90s. I have been listening to Everybody's Free on a regular basis since it first came out. The track still has a very uplifting positive vibe and sounds as good as the day it came out even though its now a classic.
Loved this interview. I saw Rozalla in the early 90s a few times in Manchester (Picadilly 21s, anyone remember that place? Lol). She seems so humble, down to earth and genuinely grateful to be still doing what she loves.
Btw, I still play Faith and Are you ready to fly on a regularly basis...Everybody's free is on the radio literally every day (Absolute 90s) so I get to hear that too...

I don't remember the debut of Everybody's Free because I was a child and I wasn't interested in music very much. I became seriously interested in music in 1995 and it was obviously Eurodance. But I remember one cover Rozalla song and it was made by Dune. This song was Ready To Fly. But of course I didn' know it was a cover. The most famous remix of Everybody's Free that I know is Aquagen from 2002. Still have original album Aquagen Weekender on CD.

So that means I can only do interviews with people that live close to me, or people that visit The Netherlands for shows etc. And of course those people need to say "yes" and be available (And I need to have time as well of course haha) But.... lots of stuff is coming up in the next few months, so I'm sure there will be new interviews that you will like ;-)

If I remember correctly her music got a lot of play time on a radio station in South Africa (5FM) by Derek 'The Bandit' Richardson. I may be wrong but her accent sounds like she spent some time in South Africa.

But I don’t have a travel budget for these vlogs (this is a hobby and I don’t really make any money), so a trip to Frankfurt (where Jam El Mar lives) will only happen when I get enough donations to make this happen. Hopefully somewhere in 2020; there’s a lot of interesting producers living in / around Frankfurt. There was a rather weird (but I did like it myself) bootleg of the vocal with DJ Jean The Launch, possibly released on DMC. I'm also sure there were some new versions around 2001 / 2002 which were more trancey than the original but can't remember who by.

It's one of the best examples of a song featuring the famous Italian electronic piano sound.
Rozalla absolutely achieved her goal of creating uplifting and positive music. Her voice is literal joy.

If I remember correctly her music got a lot of play time on a radio station in South Africa (5FM) by Derek 'The Bandit' Richardson. I may be wrong but her accent sounds like she spent some time in South Africa.

But I don’t have a travel budget for these vlogs (this is a hobby and I don’t really make any money), so a trip to Frankfurt (where Jam El Mar lives) will only happen when I get enough donations to make this happen. Hopefully somewhere in 2020; there’s a lot of interesting producers living in / around Frankfurt. BTW, I’m actually not really looking for suggestions at the moment; I still have a wish list with over 50 people / tracks on it that I’m working on for 2020.

Somehow, this track reminds me of Trance, must be the vocal.
There was a rather weird (but I did like it myself) bootleg of the vocal with DJ Jean The Launch, possibly released on DMC. I'm also sure there were some new versions around 2001 / 2002 which were more trancey than the original but can't remember who by.
