Nah, just get an old 16v71 Detroit Diesel and slap on some big ol turbos and you'll make the same power. As a plus, those engines are so stupidly large and inefficient that you might even find people giving them to anyone willing to haul it away
1:21 i had one of those gdi engines in an accent. It blew a rod at 130k miles from no oil. Ive gotten a new one since but you basically have to check the oil after every time you go 70mph+/every few days.
Should be easy to find the person. Go round to the local technical college and look up who failed the Exhaust System module. Yeah, I know, he probably never went to school.
@@csjrogerson2377 I never went to any formal mechanical training either, but I can tell the difference between a cat converter and a muffler on most vehicles by look, if not by position on the exhaust. For shame on that person, lmao
I have been watching a fair number of these types of videos. It is evident there are so many vehicles out on the roads that by far are not properly maintained. Most of the vehicles shown should be in the scrap yard and not on the roads! No wonder why there are so many horrible accidents caused by negligent of doing proper maintenance. It is obvious in the areas where these cars are driven there are no safety inspections! If a vehicle is properly maintained it can be very dependable and safely run for a fair number of years.
Might help if car insurance worked closer to the way health insurance did. And perhaps payed for a small price of certain maintenance items to keep vehicles safer.
Another problem is dishonest shops charging people $1400 to change the oil and say their suspension is out of whack and do nothing at all with the suspension. Yet another issue is shops "Yeah I'll fix that for $50" and then does absolutely garbage repairs (been there) and then more repairs are needed afterwards, to the tune of some $500, and the original repair would have been around $200.

Kia loves to do the oil blow job. My favorite because Kia thinks people are stupid enough to fall for it is when the throttle body dies on the Kia and they want to charge you 800.00 for the part because it's stamped Kia on the part. What they don't tell you is that the same part can be found online for 80.00 because Hyundai fork lifts use the same throttle body as the Kia and the same motor.
To all the comments moaning about portrait videos, you do realise this channel just reposts videos sent in by others right? By the tie he gets them, he’s stuck with the format so no point complaining…..
Forget LS swaps, we need to do some V12 Rock Crusher swaps
I work on those engines. 2 inline fuel pumps.🤢🤮

Stole the muffler instead of the catalytic converter LMAO, imagine the shame and humiliation at the scrapyard !!!

Heater cores have NO business being as difficult to take out as they are
Well they're the first part on the assembly line and the rest of the car is built around it... :P
Had to do one in my Wrangler, thank God someone had a work around on TH-cam so you don't have to pull the entire dash. Saved myself around $1,300.

I've discovered a leak in a tire from hearing that gurgly whistling sound on the wet ground more than once. That's funny.

I’ve pulled quite a few gensets to replace the rear main. Most 3mw and higher. Not that bad if you have a good team

Way too many vertitard clips in this video.
How come you can't records these in full screen.
You know that the channel creator doesn't film the videos, right?
