Not a tutorial. Just some time together crafting with file folders making a folio/booklet/insert /ephemera folder......thing. 😊 I don't know what to call it but it was fun to do!

Imagine having your first baby turn 43! When he turned 40 my hubby had a real hard time with that. I have multiple illnesses/diseases so I'm just grateful for every year I gain, especially since I've had a couple of doctors say I'll be fortunate to make 70 (only 8 years from now). Live every day joyously and look at every birthday as a milestone on your path. A great milestone to rightfully celebrated. Happy Birthday and seriously many more.

I think using hang folders is a good idea. It's big and the paper is sturdy. About turning 40....hah! I argued with a friend of mine when she corrected me and said I wasn't 43----I was 47! No way, I said! Really! Well, now I'm 68. I still feel like a kid...except my body doesn't cooperate as well. Thanks for inviting me into your craft room. Your ephemeral folder turned out so cute! Show us your beagle more often, Girl!
😊 well I'm 2 years older now since this video. Time flies! And looking back now, turning 40 wasn't too bad. 68 and feeling like a kid? That's awesome! You go girl! They say you're only as old as you feel 😉 xx

Beautiful file folder share
The month I turned 30 I was nuts the whole month. When I was a teen I watched The Waltons. I related to Mary Ellen the teenage oldest daughter. As my 30th birthday approached I realized I was no longer Mary Ellen with the world at her doorstep. Nope! I was now Olivia the mother with kids and responsibilities. I don’t regret for a second getting married and having kids. But for that short period of time the realization that, in general, at least until my kids were grown, my life’s path was kinda set in stone. 40 was nothing, 50 breezed by, 60 was fun. We had a dance at church to celebrate with lots of friends. Life is good. I love my family, they love me back. We are blessed.

I have a Beagle too. He loves to lay on my feet when I am at my craft table. I guess it's a Beagle thing because Blue snores, snorts, and dream barks and runs in his sleep. Thank you for this lovely tutorial! I am going to attempt to recreate one for myself.
Your beagle's name is also Blue?! How funny is that! We didn't name ours Blue, he came with the name and knew it well so we didn't change it
You could use the calendar pages for front pages on journals...❤❤❤

Just found your video series on making this wonderful folio and look forward to the next ones. I have heard other crafters refer to the notch as a thumb hole. Hi Cathy! I'm glad you were able to find the folders. I doubt I'll do a tutorial of this project. I tend to make something once and move on. LOL. It's an attention span thing. But it really shouldn't be too terribly hard to make something similar just by following along and kinda "eyeballing" everything. It would be a pretty cool project even in a smaller size. Very adaptable. xx

Thank you, you're so sweet. Oh, dont feel goofy. You're not that much older. 😊 All my adult friends have always been older than me. I think partly because when I was younger, everyone my own age was still partying and sowing wild oats and I was married with a baby and a mortgage. Lol

Yay! Have fun crafting! It's gonna be awesome I'm sure. Yep love my fur babies. I have 16 month old golden retriever and a 7 year old beagle.....and big news!..We bring home a new golden retriever puppy in just 2 weeks. She's 5 weeks old today. 💙 my heart is full

I know where Clayton is. I actually live near the heart of the covered bridge festival. Less than 1/2 north of Rockville. 😊 We do have some great antique stores in Indiana. If you are looking for something to do while here, there's a fabulous antique mall in Lafayette and there's an awesome antique store on the south side of the town square in Rockville.

I turned 40 in December,I still find it hard to believe I’m 40....I think that turning 40 can be bothersome because of how society has made turning 40 into this huge life changing event!Like magazines stating that when a woman turns 40,she all of the sudden knows what she wants in life,is done with playing games,knows exactly who she is,blah blah blah!It has a stigma sorta attached to it...Then there’s the dreadful saying...”Lordy Lordy look who’s 40!” UGH!lol!Like all of the sudden your over the hill!haha!once that clock struck midnight and the day changed-EVERYTHINGS DIFFERENT!Well I don’t feel any different!So wheres all this knowledge I’m supposed to gain?!Bc I’m still tryin to figure some things out!haha!Anyways thanks for sharing!Beautiful work!

30 was extremely hard for me... I literally cried for days... 40, that wasn't bad. I trained my son to tell anyone who asked that mom is 30 again. LoL pick an age and stay with it hun.

A live is fun but you need a helper or administrator who can help answer questions and make comments while you are crafting .. cause if you stop to read comments it will make the time go way longer!
