It’s not the same, know what you mean but with a microburst it just suddenly punches down with enormous force, winds all over the place, sounding like a load of trains running past close, screeching, howling. We got 2 inches of rain in 5 minutes today’s microburst. I’ve been in a hurricane too. That's Laredo in June that's the only month it really rains its a brutally hot and semi arid climate, I've been through one of these storms back in 86 and I have never forgotten it!

I was there, right there at the middle. It felt like the house was going to fly away. We were powerless for a couple of days. The US customs checkpoint a couple of blocks away got torn to pieces.
Now THAT was a storm. I click on some of those so called severe storms and it's nothing but a noisy rainstorm...not even any wind. I can sink my teeth into a storm like this. Sitting on a porch with a big old fat joint and a basement about thirty seconds away, just in case shit got stupid. Thanks.
When I was s kid I played in those kind of storm ⛈. The only thing my mom told me was don’t get your shoes 👟 wet and out the door I went. Great times. Adults these days worry about their hair getting wait.

I live in N Texas, have for 51 years. This video is just an average Spring storm in Texas. Honestly, this happens once a week here from end of March to early June. I was expecting to see something "MONSTER" like the title said, instead it was just a regular Tx storm. Note, this was filmed May 21. Texas gets the highest number of tornadoes per year. 146.7 in 2016, per NOAA, though so far in 2017 Georgia has 102! Over a 20 year period GA has avg'd 30, but so far this year it's 102. Something is up with those peaches I tell ya.
we recently had one like this in Warwick UK on 11 august at 9pm everyone thought it was a tornado passing through.10 minutes of vicious lightning high winds and horizontal rain,flooding the streets and tearing down big trees.i am convinced it was a microburst.VERY nasty.(and on my birthday! lol)

Ethan B Thank you ethan 😊 I used a sony 4k camcorder the FDR-AXP33 its a good camcorder. But he is normaly not wather resistent, i think so. But in this storm it was completly soaked and maybe 30min after the storm it shut down and was not working anymore. Then i dryed it and it starts to work again without any problem 😁 and since this storm it was often wet but still working.
Yeah, supercells are actually pretty common around Laredo and the Rio Grande in May. A lot of them form and come off the Mexican terrain just west of there and drop big hail out there.

The people filming it are from europe, it's probably rare to have such severe storms there.

This happened in southern texas on the border with mexico. The strongest storms we usually get are light rain. This was something special
