Best tutorial I have found on TOS. Thanks MK. I just opened a TOS account. Is there a way i can get a link to download your template or is that only available for students. I am a novice at running a platform. I want to get some experience running TOS and paper trade before I sign up as a student.

I noticed sometimes there are no options available that expire the same day. Is it all the same choosing ones that expire the next day if that's the closest expiration date available?
Yeah for SPY Options the same day expirations are only on M/W/F so if its T/Thurs then yeah choose the next day.
Maurice, thank you for the workspace. All is working except I can't seem to get the option chain window on the left side of the upper right panel. I only get the chart which shows underneath the option chain window in the video. The right side is there with current bid/ask (red/green). Thanks.
That will only show after you have chosen a option for u to trade 1st and then it will pop up.
@@MK-University Well that was embarrassing. It ended up that I was failing to hit ENTER on the keyboard after I had clicked OPTIONS and entered SPY. Thanks again.

Thank you much for your post. I learn a lot from it. I tried to download but there are a lot of bell and I cannot see my account and the chart does not show up. So I decide to create myself. However, how do you link the crosshair in SPY chart and option chart? and how do you link active enter/exit label in both SPY chart and option chart? Please advise.
Not sure what trading platform you use- if you are on TOS, this can be done in your setup- contact TD Ameritrade Support Chat and they will get you setup!

I imported your desktop and laptop workspaces today and all went well with the download. But after the download I started getting all of these "bots" loading up with bells going off, etc. Was that from your download or just something on my platform going haywire? Thanks for all the great videos. I learn so much everytime I watch them.
Hello Dasher Mike, that is normal and to be expected. It is the system uploading and it will eventually stop. I hope that helps. 😊
Kind of wondering if you use tick charts? I'm a pretty experienced price action person and indicators are lagging as you said, but the most important part of any of this is risk management.
Personally don't use tick charts.
I love your workspace bro. Super convenient. I Downloaded it but I couldn’t change it from CST to EST zone. I use TOS as well. Any suggestions?
Thanks man glad you like it! So in any of the charts on the top of them their is a gear icon next to the spot where you can change the timeframe from 1 min to say 5 min. Chick the gear icon and then a window will pop up so at the bottom of those settings it will allow for you to change the timezone.

Hi Maurice, I downloaded your extension and for some reason it won't load all of the charts and buy order section the 3 charts loaded but not the 4th one with the by buttons and the level 2 info, could it be that its friday and there isn't any data to display? all it does is buffer and says waiting for data. please advise
Yes, the data isn’t available when the market is closed.
Hey Maurice< downloaded your TOS workspace, however when i import the link nothing happens. I get a box that says import complete, nothing new pops up on screen and didn't hear any noises when i click import. Am I missing something. I used the link emailed to me.
I see you got it fixed from your other text so yeah sometimes for the first install you have to manually go and click to load it after u installed it (saying this for anyone else that may be reading it).
Where do you get your templates for TD since they moved to Schwab? Is there a difference?
No difference even though it moved since TOS is still the same as of now.

Thank you for sharing your workspace settings. However, once I import the Desktop workspace in ToS, all the cell panels appear properly. However, the two cells on upper right & lower left don't load the data. It's saying 'waiting for data' but the data never loads. This happens when the market is open or closed; live trading & paper money. Can you comment on what's going on?
The cells aren’t linked (bottom left needs a red 1 and has to be on SPY just like the top left). The top right will always stay blank until you choose an option contract manually once the market is live so it’s waiting for into input the data.

Did that recently for a student in my coaching program literally yesterday hands on so yeah I know exactly what your talking about. What is the title / link of your top-right display? Put another way, how did you navigate to that screen?
That is the AT (Active Trader) display of the options contract prices
The chart immediately to the left is the options chart.
Click on TOS Support chat to clarify specific steps on how to get those on your screen- there are tabs on the right side of your chart you can click on!
how do I change the time zones in TOS? I downloaded your version and showing up for your time of trade CST.
When you go to the chart settings (gear icon) you can change the timezone there

@@Tommy06289 I actually use active trader to buy at same day expiration contracts and let the price come to me based on my strategy. In my coaching program I have a lot more videos that explain that via videos and we walk through it as text is not as efficient in this way.
for some reason the only cells that load when I uploaded your workspace are the top left and right. is there something I'm doing wrong?
No that’s right. The right only load once you actually select a option contract to potentially trade
After practicing with your template for several days using on demand, etc., I am wondering why you need two charts of the actual option on your screen? I'm sure there is a reason but I am finding that I seldom look at the option chart on the lower left. I am thinking I might like to have two actve trader panels instead with puts on one and calls on the other. I have traded options for years but only on stocks and only swing trades. I am beginning to believe that your spy daytrading ideas are the way to go. Just having a little trouble getting use to the workspace. Thanks
Oh I see now. The chart on the lower right shows the trades made. Thanks
The workspace gets easier to understand the more you use it. The lower right chart is actually the 5 day, 5 min chart. I have that in view to help to determine the overall trend for the day and week, and to find multiday zones. The chart on the lower left is the same day, 5 min chart, which is used to draw the major zones. I hope that helps.

Hey there, Todd. I'm a little confused only because Active Trader comes with the TOS application and there is nothing to set up.
Hey there too Maurice. First good videos and trading technique. When you open Active Trader it's in a it's generic form. There are quite a bit of add-on's if you click on one of two "gear" symbols. Like for instance your "Quantity with Buttons" has a 400 button after the 200. Quantity with Buttons comes in it's default not going past the 200 quantity button. How do you get that next Quantity Button for 400 to show up after the 200. So do you have a video that shows how to add all the components that you have on your Active Trader? Like another example would be, Open P/L, or how about the pull down menu for a "Day" trade or a "GTC" trade selection, etc. :)

hello i am trying to set up my TD ameritrade and as for my account i have filled everything out to the point where i am logged in as i am looking at my profile some of my things are confusing me like i have routing and it says smart next to it i am not sure what that means should it be different? for cash sweep it says TDA cash what should it be? my margin and option trading say none do i just hit apply and wait for them to approve or is it instant? i also have contingents trade triggers what does that mean? what does the fully paid lending income mean? also when i go to subscriptions under your current subscriptions it says i dont have any so i click on the real time NASDAQ level 2 subscribe i go through and review the exchange agreement pages fill out everything and hit submit it tell me that my status has been confirmed i will now receive real time quotes, i go back to subscriptions and its blank what am i doing wrong? when i logout and back in it wants me to fund my account is that a reason its like this or can i skip that for now and as far as which one to choose should i choose the express funding? or what do you recommend?
Kimberly, it sounds like you’re logged onto the TD Ameritrade website. You’ll need to download Thinkorswim to apply my settings.

Hi Mariah! Yes, technically you can however I recommend using a laptop or a desktop if you choose to use my workplace settings on Thinkorswim.

Can I use webull's chart with a similar set up?
Yeah you can since it's pretty similar but for options as far as I know WeBull does not have active trader (top right of the screen) and that is the core reason I use TOS for the pure speed Active Trader provides to get in and out a trade in 1 sec (with a limit order not a market order)

Awesome got it thank you. Was using tradestation and now trying to learn TOS. I’m on a MacBook and it definitely seems a bit harder for adjusting the chart and all (maybe there are shortcuts I need to learn). I have level 1 options approval for covered calls and cash secured puts, I’m thinking I need level 2 to buy calls and puts, is that correct? I’m really considering purchasing your course. I can not afford the 1 on 1 right now. Is there a payment plan?

I use the TOS platform with TDAmeritrade- click on the beaker symbol to all study to your chart. Do a search for vwap and add.

I thought I was watching pretty carfully but I did not see how you downloaded the view. Could not follow your cursor.
So, click on the tab "download my workspace" in the comment section. Then click download either the desktop or laptop setting, depending on what you're using. Copy the link from the browser. Go to TOS and go to "setup" in the upper right-hand corner and click open shared item. Paste the link. Click preview, click open shared items and click import. That should do it. I hope that helps. 😊

Just wondering if anyone else have experienced what I’m experiencing. I’m thinking it’s the platform. Idk! Sooooo 1st of all I’m still paper trading. 🥺 lol I click to purchase a call at the price point I want, but it says I actually purchased at a price point that I would’ve had to scroll to choose. Waaay away from the price point I wanted. And every time it does that, I would’ve been in profit had it not!!!! I’m using ur strategy (LOVE IT) and I definitely see the plays. But THIS, what I believe is a “glitch,” won’t let me be great!!! And it’s not all the time, just more times than not. Has anyone else experienced this on the paper platform? Should I just go live? 😩 Does that happen on live? Is it something I’m doing wrong??? It’s like it’s lying on me killing my profitable opportunities!! 🤣😩🤷🏽♀️ HELP PLEASE!
If I was able to help u in a call step by step I could see the problem but there is some kind of info here that’s missing so I can’t exactly help here. Almost sounds like u have a pending order sitting somewhere at times and then u don’t cancel it so later on it executes. So if anything make sure u cancel all of ur orders if they don’t get filled when u put them in so this for sure won’t be an issue. That’s what I’ve seen happen 9/10 times when I see this issue

@@horsecarriagellc1190 Put it this way - If someone has $100 in there trading acc vs another that has $10k in there trading acc who can typically afford to lose more likely? The person with more in there acc and maybe not living paycheck to paycheck. I don't want to hurt people and get people to lose a lot of money so as a result if you don't have the money to trade with then you should not be trading. Just because you can does not mean you should so I mean that from the bottom of my heart because I don't want to see you get hurt.
So if you are not able to make a full commitment right now then I don't wnat your money and I don't want you to get into bad trades because you can't afford to lose. So right now is not the best time for you at this point in time.
